Again, that is a pretty arrogant statement. "I wasn't told of this so therefore it didn't exist."

Joseph knew adultery was sin...

Gen 39:7 And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me.
Gen 39:8 But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;
Gen 39:9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

Job knew that idolatry was sin...

Job 31:26 If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking in brightness;
Job 31:27 And my heart hath been secretly enticed, or my mouth hath kissed my hand:
Job 31:28 This also were an iniquity to be punished by the judge: for I should have denied the God that is above.

Job knew that taking God's name in vain was sin...

Job 1:5 So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, "It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts." Thus Job did regularly.

Murder was a sin...

Gen 4:7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it."
Gen 4:8 Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.
Gen 4:9 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?" He said, "I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper?"
Gen 4:10 And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground.
Gen 4:11 So now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand.

Stealing...

Gen 44:8 Look, we brought back to you from the land of Canaan the money which we found in the mouth of our sacks. How then could we steal silver or gold from your lord's house?
Gen 44:9 With whomever of your servants it is found, let him die, and we also will be my lord's slaves."

Actually, one can easily find all Ten Commandments prior to Mt. Sinai as sin. Just because this was not told to you, does not mean it did not happen.

thanks.

You just proved I was correct in my thinking

the law was in force long beofre it was written in stone. because God wrote it in our hearts (dna) in other words, he created us in him image, thus the law is included in that image.

which is what crossnote said.

ok. But cained murdered abel. How could he be charged with sin, if it was not yet written in stone.

thanks.

Hmmm. Seems a contradiction to me.

OK, but not what Paul says...

Rom 4:15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

Rom 5:13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

And then Satan is said to have broken the ninth and the sixth Commandments...

Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Paul's point in Rom 5:13 is that there has always been law.

Hmmm. Seems a contradiction to me.

How? The law was written in our hearts LONG before it was written in stone.

and PS. The first was a question for you reguarding what you said. Do you have a response to that yet?

The law given to Moses simply made sin personal. It was always a sin to commit murder or bear false witness and worship other gods. The law codified made sin personal to the individual.

For the cause of Christ

That law was and always will be LOVE. To love God with all your heart mind and soul is the greatest commandment. In other words, the law that was here and spiritual is that God simply loved Himself.

Life is a whole lot easier without the law. I can see why some people passionately try to do away with it.

Every man knows to respect the man next to him. "Thou shalt not" as written however can be manipulated, exploited, twisted and contorted.

And "probably" to witness. On that day man can't say I'm sinless because I don't feel guilty.

For a time only. Witness USA and Canada who did away with public display of the 10 commandments and public prayers.

I respect your opinion. Some respect homosexuality. Some respect baal worship. We are all at peace.
This however is true. We know by nature that a man should be with a woman, but this is the NATURAL MAN. The truth is that we have homosexuals for whatever reason. Respect them, and it will be returned unto you the same!

Those who claimed there was no laws probably see law in the letter and see letter not spiritual.
The bible says law is spiritual.
From my point of view it's the law that is written.
From their point of view it's something not written, concluded in love and anything not out of love is not spiritual.
So justice is driven back, and righteousness stands at a distance; truth has stumbled in the streets, honesty cannot enter. Truth is nowhere to be found, and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey.

But in this i Agree but in the precept of love , this i willl tellyoyou no love is greater that a man lay his life down for his friends john 15 , or how about in this we perceive the love of God that just as Christ layd down his life for us we ought to lay down our lives for our brethren , or how about i beseech you by the mercies of God that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice for it is our reasonable service , the truth is his love so love is the key but we must be learned in the truth anf not be as reprobates the truth is the love of God where righteousness is bound in love for if there is no love there is no truth by living his love we show mercy for others to see the saviour living through our lives this is where we are dead to our own works and christ is alive for us ..

thanks.

You just proved I was correct in my thinking

the law was in force long beofre it was written in stone. because God wrote it in pure hearts (dna) in other words, he created us in him image, thus the law is included in that image.

which is what crossnote said.

The question of the millenium is when was the law added because the word does say that the law was added because our transgressions but the question is when was sin imputeth , and when did it take effect to be sin to us .

This is my thought that i was revealed that the law was existent from the very begining when God was alone before the works of creation for God is order God is truth now to man sin was not imputeth unto him for man had no knoledge of sin or God's knowledge of law ,now law is the knowledge to do good but also what was given was the knowledge to do evil until this act from our father and mother adam and eve because of their transgresions they received knowledge and were no longer innocent therefore because of their disobedience the knowledge of the law was added now working wrath against our members now until Christ came that our sins may be blotteth out

I believe there was always God's law since the beginning, but I think the argument comes from the other laws beyond the 10 commandments. Cause they use the argument that in the laws it talks about incest being wrong, but in Genesis their are scriptures that speak of incest in order to populate the world, so it is a contradiction or the law didn't exist. That is their argument.

Now lets look at the Law of moses this is one most reffered to by my beloved brother paul He states that the law was addaed because of transgressions , and this is my overview and example i will use lets look at the united states goverment it began a young country vibrant but as a developing nation it faced a lot of turmoil , even though human beings having a measure of understanding i. The us we have seen much opression discrimination many mistakes but as it developed more and more laws were added because not all humans are considerate and laws had to be aded to protect each others rights etc... But the main attribute was to bring order .

Not true. What is a sin for one is not a sin for another.
The Lord is just and no respector of persons but to every nation that worketh righteousness is accepted by him . That is where He is Just no preference but that you live His Love I repeat His love , not our love not our love...But His Love...
