So did anyone see it? if so what did you think?

I loved it :) it was an awesome movie for inspiring Christians to get out of their box and speak about Christ, and to not be afraid of speaking up! Because, after all...if He is for us, who can be against us?

Saw it, really liked it. A few little acting issues, and I felt it had a little too many stories in one, but it had a great message and some great points. Would see it again.

If it is as humorous as the trailer was then I might give it a go.

If it has great sentimental value, then sure it's a great film. But if it has valid arguments, too, I'd rather just read them. Anybody care to summarize the movie's main points, or does their philosophical insight come at the price of a movie ticket?

Josh Wheaton (Shane Harper), a naive freshman college student, enrolls in a philosophy class taught by an infamous and dictatorial professor. Professor Radisson (Kevin Sorbo) demands that all of his students must sign a declaration that "God is dead" in order to get a passing grade. Josh refuses and will go to any lengths to defend his belief in God, but he needs to take this class to meet his academic requirements. And so the professor strikes a bargain: Josh must defend his position that "God is Alive" in a series of debates with him in order to stay in the class. If he loses, he flunks. When Josh accepts the challenge, he gets more than he bargained for—jeopardizing his faith, his relationships, and even his future.
Wow, it sounds ridiculous. But Hercules is in it so I wanna see it.

Why is Korie Robertson in it?

I don't even watch Duck Dynasty.

When I think of Christianity that guy does not come to mind.

I remember seeing Expelled in theaters a while back. It held my interest and had some interesting revelations at the end - if not about God then about the atheist frame of mind. If I had some money to throw around I'd probably go see this movie, too. Just don't at the moment.

Are we talking about the movie with Ben Stein? If so, don't waste your time with it. The movie is absolutely horrible. It's filled with misinformation, misrepresentation, cherry picked stories (one Christian was reportedly kicked out of academia for being a creationist - they left out the part where he was caught intentionally skewing scientific results, which is something that would get any scientist expelled), quote minding, and dishonest editing.

Avoid the movie at all costs.

@Expelled: Great movie, ignore the skeptics and watch it through before believing the atheists..

God's not Dead
was a pretty solid movie, comes recommended. And it was pretty scripturally sound. Invite your friends and family to watch it! :D

Son of God - Disappointed, 13th apostle Mary Magdalene is permeating the movie with her authority which is not found in the Bible. They also forgot to mention Hell. But then again considering Son of God was by Roma Downey (avid New Ager featured on OM magazine) it's not too surprising. I'd avoid it.

Noah - An utter blaspheme of the real Noah story, Noah is more like gandolf than anything. Scripturally nothingness and shear Hollywood.

- I prefer Ray Comfort's Noah The Movie over this one. It's a great watch! Free: Noah | And the Last Days

What about it sounds ridiculous to you?
Studied some philosophy at University. That would never have happened. It's such an 'unthinking' move by a 'professor'. When a lot of the study of philosophy is actually that God/Deity/Divine exists.

The idea that a philosophy lecturer would require students to sign a pledge committing to one conclusion is at odds with the study of philosophy itself.

It's like a Physics professor making everyone sign a pledge to say Gravity is a myth.

It's a moronic strawman created as a plot to make the undergraduate believer a hero.

If that's true I hope you have evidence to back up each claim (e.g. quote mining, dishonest editing, misrepresentation) so that I can see it for myself.
