To some extent, yes. But he is also trusting in the coaching and training his coach has given him leading up to that game. You won't do a very good job at not fumbling until you learn the proper way to hold the ball.
The Lord is my Shepherd.

we see and fear thees things when there written because a lot all thees things a child of god is would be fearful of doing, Not only that the very reason why most people come to lord is for forgiveness.
yes.
salvation;
1. Saved from eternal wrath
2. Saved from a life of conflict between you and God
3. Saved from the destruction which we were headed for if we continued in our sinful ways
4. Saved from a life of trying to find joy through drugs and alcohol, sex, entertainment, money, work, etc etc...
5. Saved from the fear that comes with knowing you are rightly condemned because of your alienation form god and life of sin
6. Saved from the fear of death, because you know your eternal future
7. saved from the fear of having to take care of yourself. because no one else will help you
8. Saved from the fear of suffering and tribulation which comes from living in a sinful world.
9. Saved from the popular saying "YOLO" (You Only Live Once) because you know this life is not all there is.
I am sure I have missed many, But I hope people get the point.
This is what God has saved us from. Yet from what I see and hear in here. People still fear these things. It is sad that the power and grace of God has not touched their lives, and they still have to live in fear. They say they have the words of truth, and those like myself have not. Yet their doctrine does not save them from most of the things God came to save us from!

Its like being sent off in a football match for a bad foul in the world cup and your good names gets completely trashed there after for everyone to see. But i do agree with yo that these thing are not for a child of God to know longer worry about.
Everthing is in the fathers Hands nothing and no one can harm a child of God for very long, like my football team we get kicked we get putdown but we get back up.

And thus the benefit and application of the commands of the Law.

with that said im now off to bed be blessed thankyou for your words and your peace god blessAs a man I am so thankfull God has placed into my life to help disciple me once said.
All they can take is my physical life. They can't take my eternity. This life is but a blink of an eye when it is compared to eternity. a million years from now. I probably will not even remember how I did, or how much pain I was in, I will still be sharing the Joy of being with my Lord.
It isn't enough for the coach to just tell you what to do, you have to do it, you have to make sure you know how to implement what He is telling you to do. You have to practice, so to speak. To some extent, yes. But he is also trusting in the coaching and training his coach has given him leading up to that game. You must separate law from commands.
The law was something given to moses.
The commands were many things spoken of outside the law (even though many are included in the law) which we should seek Gods help to follow.
when we look to these, we will have no question

Our coach (God, the Holy Spirit) has told us what to do, and how to do it. But that doesn't mean we automatically do it. We have to do what he says, practically.
I don't fully understand you first sentence in this thread but one could think that only Jesus came to full fill the law. and one could think that there is no real purpose when i feel there is.
I am just state how i see it so don't take this personal i am just stating that i feel Jesus came to show us that we can keep the ten commandments through him.
I also feel that this message could get quite easily lost when making statement just like yours. I hope you well and i hope you and red-tent can have some unity in this matter and i would love to know your views on my belief here about Jesus COMING TO SHOW US that we can follow his commandment through him. And how do you feel that was one of the main reason why he came.
In the old testament the first words that lord wrote him self where the ten commandments we know his word was written to by others but we know the only word the lord actually manually wrote where the ten commandments. God bless
When a project is fulfilled, completed, ended, there is a reason that the project was started in the first place, and that was to use it for its intended purpose. Many today think that once Jesus fulfilled the law, you just set it aside and say "this is for me, but it's my Lord's project not mine, so it's all over. Jesus Christ constructed the plan entire plan for our benefit, and for us to use it because He loves us!
1 John 4:19 (KJV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP]We love him, because he first loved us.
That's why Jesus said that we "live" (present tense) by every word that the project contains. To not open the package, and use it for the purpose it was intended, is a clear cut show of not loving God with all our heart, minds, soul, and strength, even though we say that we love Him. Why in heavens name would anyone say they have received a gift, and let it just sit, and ridicule it because they can't understand its purpose at the present time in their life? I don't get it. To me that makes no sense.

Gal 3:
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”[SUP][e][/SUP] [SUP]11 [/SUP]But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.”[SUP][f][/SUP] [SUP]12 [/SUP]Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.”[SUP][g][/SUP]
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”[SUP][h][/SUP]), [SUP]14 [/SUP]that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator. [SUP]20 [/SUP]Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. [SUP]22 [/SUP]But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. [SUP]23 [/SUP]But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. [SUP]24 [/SUP]Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. [SUP]25 [/SUP]But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
some of us just comprehend fully the reason the law was given..
some of us evidently have not comprehended this. and want to remain under a tutor. and condemn those of us who understand the reason for the law and why it was given.
so sad.
true.
But to me the law is like trying not to fumble.
If I concentrate on not doing the things I am not supposed to do. As we showed. We will fail.
Instead we should listen to the instructions of God which show us how to live the life he wants,
Love your nieghbor, Your spouse, your children, the rest of your family, Your parents, Your enemy, Assemble together, Teach each other, Serve each other, Give the world the good news of Christ, Study to show yourself approved, Trsut god that the tribulation and suffering you have to endure is for his good please (he can use it to affect others, and yourself) etc etc etc.

Yep, I see it in the two - Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. You write as if you think we just live riotous, ungodly lives because we believe that the law has fulfilled it's purpose. I have driven back to Burger King to return money because the clerk gave me too much change and I knew that it would mess up her cash register and she would be in trouble and could even loose her job. I found money on the parking lot of Target and turned it into the service desk (boy were they surprised!) Turned out it belonged to a little girl who had dropped in on her way in and the reason I know that I heard her talking to her mom and I had the pleasure of going to them and telling them I turned it into the service desk. (I don't say this in a bragging manner but as an example) I didn't need "A LAW" to tell me what to do - because the love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the holy Spirit which was given to me. Whatever I need - wherever I am - whatever I am doing - the holy Spirit is right there - leading me, guiding me, bringing things to my remembrance so that I can do what is right. Is this ALL the time? Nope . . .This is also the reason many of the Laws cannot be obeyed today. They involved an active Aaronic Priesthood and a Temple. There are some Laws that still should be obeyed today...
Exo 21:33 And if a man shall open a pit, or if a man shall dig a pit, and not cover it, and an ox or an ass fall therein;
Exo 21:34 The owner of the pit shall make it good, and give money unto the owner of them; and the dead beast shall be his.
Exo 21:35 And if one man's ox hurt another's, that he die; then they shall sell the live ox, and divide the money of it; and the dead ox also they shall divide.
Exo 21:36 Or if it be known that the ox hath used to push in time past, and his owner hath not kept him in; he shall surely pay ox for ox; and the dead shall be his own.
Has to do with doing right by your neighbor. All these folks that keep shouting the Two Great Commands seem to ignore these very rules that describe the way we do right by our neighbor.
In those days the roof was a living area just as we use a deck today. So...
Deu 22:8 When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a battlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.
But some call this bondage to protect someone from falling off your deck and being injured or killed.
I really think those who shout against the Laws are just repeating what someone has told them and not looked into it for themselves and made their own decisions.
I agree. And when you say,
I believe that also includes the instructions He has given in the OT.
So how do you get around Jesus telling His followers to do and teach the law until heaven and earth pass away? And that if they do, they'll be greater than the ones who don't do and teach the law?
