Who is a Jew?
Rom 2:28,29

This scripture clearly shows that the physical Jews are not true Jews.

Consider also 1Cor 10:18-20
Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
But I say, that the things which theGentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.


Here we see confirmation that physical Jews are not true Jews. Instead, we see they're described as Gentiles (in spiritual terms), sacrificing to devils.

So we see in scripture, depending on the context, that there are both physical Jews and Gentiles, and there are also spiritual Jews and Gentiles.

A spiritual Jew is one who believes on Jesus. They've had circumcision of the heart.

A spiritual Gentile in a non-believer. The physical Jews are actually spiritual Gentiles as they have not had circumcision of the heart.

We must remember that David violates the law several times but God says he is after his own heart. I believe that David had God in his heart and even though he faulted he was always quick to reach out to God for forgiveness and mercy. Love is what made David great.
