Too many to list (including but not limited to my top 50 list on the computer) but this is the one that I've decided to share with you all.

Hard to say because i was and still am just not as much now a music addict. But for the most part there are three i can think of. 2 are being serious. One is being funny.

Rake by Townes Van Zandt
Shades of Grey by Robert Earl Keen
I'm Not Dead Yet from the musical Spamalot which is based on Monty Pythons holy grail movie. I tossed this one in because it's true. It's like i'm not dead yet, i can still function. If you ain't never seen it you would have to youtube it to get it.

We can all find songs that perfectly describe your current situation, but it's a bit more complicated finding a song that tells your life's story. Which song is it for you and why? Mine would be "let it go" from frozen. Why? Because it explains the story of a girl whose parents asked her to hide who she was and 'be a good girl' or what society thought was good. Likewise, I am from an Indian background but I never cared much for the cultural barriers and restrictions. I am a free spirit and many times, my parents would ask me to 'be a good girl' or to hide how open minded i was around certain Indian friends. Then it goes on to say let it go.. turn your back and slam the door which is what I am about to do- move to a place where I can be ME without restrictions. So let's hear yours!!

I can sort of relate to you even if it's not on the cultural level. All my life pretty much I went with what people would tell me was 'the right thing to do' and I thought that I was doing something good out of it. Then literally one night, pretty much an overnight thing years later, I realized how much of a lie I was pretty much living in and was convinced that it was the 'right' way to be when in fact I was just so suppressed throughout all of it for others gain... So that hit me hard along with many other things that were going on. Now I'm trying to see if I can actually get somewhere even if it's not the best route to go and it's stressing me out a little but I have to start somewhere and leave everything behind, slowly... I'm tired of feeling suppressed.

My history is this:
Christina Perri's "Jar of Hearts"
Kelly Clarkson's "Because of You," "Never Again," "Mr. Know-It-All"

But this is my present:

American Authors' "Best Day of My Life"

A very strange mix of these:

Frozen (Within Temptation)
Pinch Me (Barenaked Ladies)
Who I Am (Natasha Bedingfield)

...and then, you know, throw in the rubber ducky song, stir counter-clockwise for three minutes, add coffee...yeah. Me.

For my current chapter of life, my choice is "Just Survivn' " by Ian Thomas and the Band of Drifters.

Why? Truth be told, I'm a bit of a drifter for one and rather enjoy living day to day like I do. It isn't for forever though. I have plans and goals, but my current state in life propels me toward fulfilling them even though I occasionally feel like I'm on a treadmill.

Because I want to be difficult... and not use one song that could probably sum up everything.

The weary days:

" Inside this cold heart is a dream, that's locked in a box that I keep. Buried a hundred miles deep, deep in my soul in a place that's surrounded by aeons of silence."

The beginning processes, post revelation:

"Heal me now, remove these old scars from my soul. Heal me now, unhinge this dry skin from my bones."

The now:

"Through it all, through it all, my eyes on you. Through it all, through it all, it is well."

I think there are a dozen songs describing my life story. But right now, at this very moment, the song describing my life story is "You ain't just whistlin' Dixie" by Bellamy Brothers.
