I care about truth. Here's some.

A fellow poster was right I think, the prince of this world has followers that work together, while the children of Almighty are divided. We don't have to get snared, we can ignore. We don't have to argue, it take 2 to argue.
Time is growing shorter, and the evil will grow. Get your garments ready. Are you counting the Omer? There's blessing in that.

All you have to do is arm yourself. You are right - it is a war and there are those that seek to destroy the word. As long as you abide by scripture you will never fail, and the enemy will never have an edge. But, you must abide by the word. I know I am in a war. And Paul told us in no uncertain terms how to prepare: "Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; ..And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;..Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. [SUP] [/SUP]And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."I care about truth. Here's some.

When one is unable to accept clear scripture, there is a good possibilty that someone is on the wrong side. The Word is what it is all about. It is God, and God made it flesh thru His Son, and His Son taught it to the jews, and, thru Paul, the gentiles, then the Holy Ghost inspired Godly men who wrote it down, and it is all and only what we ever need.

Some liken that "armour" to a Roman soldier fitted for battle. I see it as priestly garments. What say you?
Please give scripture saying that Christ is the Passover. Passover is a feast reenacting the way God freed the Hebrews from slavery as Christ frees us from the slavery of sin. You say Christ is the feast, Christ is the enactment of Christ. That is like saying Christ is Easter so we must not have Easter any longer. Please explain?

1 Corinthians 5 speaks of Judging those in the church in order to keep the church holy and purging the evil ones deserving of death out of the church by excommunicating them going so far as not sharing company by even sitting down to eat with such people to be certain they are shamed for their acts, (so that they actually have shame.)
What portion of 1 Cor 5 speaks of Gods people or the Angel of Death passing over such people
(overlooking them as if they're somehow justified) in this circumstance?

unfortunately the issue of the year of jesus' death and resurrection is actually more complicated than you are making it...
there are calculations that you can use retroactively to see when passover would theoretically have been celebrated in any given year...but the catch is that they didn't use mathematical calculations to determine the date of passover in those days...
in jesus' time they determined the date of passover by direct observation of the phases of the moon...this method is subject to the 'human factor' and so it would not necessarily have given a date that agrees with the mathematical calculations that were developed later...

I was so excited at your post, but when I went to the scripture it says "after he had risen", not anything about that he rose on the first day of the week. Just that he had risen. We know that was when it was discovered that He rose.

i don't know what translation you are using...but here is what my NASB says..."Now after He had risen early on the first day of the week, He first appeared to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven demons."
i also looked at the greek text earlier and it is in agreement with the NASB translation...in fact the greek makes it even more clear that 'the first day of the week' is referring to when jesus rose...
This is the first I have heard that scripture says he rose on the first day of the week, Good research.
If God took Christ on the first day of the week, what do you suppose God was telling us by that? God is eternal, and we need to look at all Christ did in terms of the eternal characteristics of God. All Christ changed did not change any of God's ways but made them more precise. How would God taking Christ on the first day of the week change the direction of honoring the Sabbath?

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour"...............Paul said "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand"
The word stand used in this instance defines as this: "Assume an attitude of offence or defense-also stanch, quench, quell, put to an end-bring to a halt."
Does that sound like you are supposed sit on your hands while satan has his way?
In the 17th chapter of Acts we see Paul passing by, and seeing an altar to the "Unknown God", he immediately stops, stood on Mars Hill and preached to them.
In the 18th chapter of Acts, the Lord told Paul to "Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace".
Does that sound like God wants you to put "priestly garments" and call that serving God?
Back to Ephesians in chapter 6, we read "And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, ...For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak"
Christ Himself said "He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day"
Sounds to me like the word of God is pretty important.
"Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment"
You try to keep the law if you want. You folks that are sabbath keepers by command, are following the commandments of men. "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men".
Now myself, I don't want the effort to be in vain. I want the reward that is promised to me if I keep the faith. Why you want to run the risk of running in vain is beyond me. The bible is very clear, and tho satan, thru false prophets and ignorant men, tries to make it different, it stands to this day.
Do what you wish. You are your own free moral agent, "but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

If my understanding is correct. The actual day that passover is observed is different from year to year, beginning with the Aviv barley, (which doesn't happen each year on the same day,) and the new moon, (which is also a different day every month throughout the year.) So the day of the resurrection that we honor would follow suit.
Sort of like our own birthdays, we might have been born on a Tuesday, but each year our birthdays happen on a different day.
With that in mind, The very resurrection of Christ happened on the seventh day, but each year the day follows as a different day, or a new day, and sometimes, it does happen to be on the seventh day. Even though from even to even, from Friday at sunset, to Saturday at sunset, is to be honored always.
Even the first and last day of Passover and unleavened bread are to be honored as Sabbaths. Those days are not the same days, celebrated at the exact time every year, and they don't always happen on a Saturday.

the non resistant christian is not a pacifist but rather a peace maker. you might look at how the anabaptists have responded to military service. They will die but refuse to kill. there is a wonderful story of some southern mennonites drafted into the confederate army during the american civil war. in the first battle the great stonewall jackson rode up and down behind the troops waving his sword with bullets flying like bees around him. when he came to the mennonites he looked and shouted: "you're shooting too high." the answer was simple. "of course we are, there are men over there." it was decided that the mennonites were better farmers than soldiers and they were sent home.

I will assume you directed that response to me, so I will take liberty to answer it.
I haven't said, nor does the bible, that our war is physical. Our weapon of offense, our sword, is the Word of God. The bible is not a gun that shoots bullets. This is a battle waged in the minds and hearts of every person born on this planet. It has nothing to do with literal war, as such.
As for being a peacemaker, fine, but never, at anytime, are we told to make peace with satan. Quite the contrary. Why do you think we need all this armour? The sword is not a weapon of defense, but of offense. Peacemakers must be prepared to wield the sword to maintain, or obtain peace, wouldn't you agree?
You are sure about that? The New Moon calculations were released by Hillel, but the priests used them far before Christ's crucifixion.

I'd say Isaiah 59:17.
The passage says:

I sure wish you folks would step up out of the old testament covenant and partake of the one we have now. The one that gives us salvation thru faith. The one that God sacrificed His Son on the cross for.
I challenge you , or anyone else, to refute what I said in post 143 and 152 using scripture. You can't because it is scripture. Forsake the law and live in the "perfect law of liberty" with all spiritual jews, not the jews of the flesh.
