I don't know about ya'll but I love me some coffee! :) I have two favorite coffee shops. Starbucks & River Road Coffee.

At Starbucks I always order the Java Chip Frapp, add a banana, with strawberry sauce and double the whip! =)

And at River Road I always order the Funky Monkey!

What's your favorite coffee shop and drink?

I drink a black americano (basically expresso + hot water) and I have to say Starbucks is the worst one of all that I have tasted, so I would never go into a Starbucks!

I would frequent the few cafes that are tried and tested, Nero and Costa Coffee (chains) and then one or two local independants...

I don't go in for the more fancy varients of coffee...how boring am I! LOL :D

Haha, not boring at all! lol :) I've tried to like black coffee and I just can't do it! I have a keruig at home, and the target brand k-cups are actually pretty decent! And a little less pricey!

Dunkin' Donuts. America runs on Dunkin' and so do I. Cream, no sugar. At home I drink it black. I drink it all day long. I am drinking it now. At night I drink de-caf so that I can unwire and sleep at night. Starbucks is excellent also and I would have to go into a shopping mall to get a cup but it would be worth the trip. In Florida there are gigantic malls and I would have to walk at least a half a mile. The Starbucks that I am talking about is in a Barnes & Nobel book store. I will probably go there tomorrow, get a double espresso and grab a novel. There are a lot of single ladies strolling in the mall also, not that I am really looking at the moment. I am following the advice of a good friend and I have made myself unavailable for a period of time.

anyone here had chicory coffee? a southern staple.

during the civil war, embargoes made coffee scarce in the confederate states. following a tradition of the poor of France, they brewed the root of the chicory weed.

it's yellow-orangish, strong and bitter. acquired taste i guess.

My nearest DD is a half hour away! =( Bums me out! I drink coffee all day long too! It doesnt really affect me unless I order extra espresso shots in it! That sounds like a coffee date. Books & Coffee! :) Who knows, your future wife could be there!
