a situation at work just got a bit more complex - to a point where me as a mandated reporter needs to let my superiors know. I thought my coworker was just cutting corners and being a little lazy and unprofessional, but he has put the developmentally disabled person I am working with in a very unsafe position. Two people may get fired over this. This sucks.
Ugh, so sorry Catherder. What a difficult position for you to be placed in. But I'm grateful that God placed you there to help protect someone when needed. Saying a prayer for all involved, now.

My mom may or may not have cancer, she has to make the appointment to get tested and is refusing to do so.
ems, i'll keep your mom (and that situation) in prayer, along with your own.
praying that your situation works out for the very best. sorry to hear about the potential for upcoming drama. i hate that, but i am glad that this situation has fallen to someone with the temerity to speak up and be an advocate.
bugeyesti: i've also been praying that things go well for your grandma's surgery, and a speedy recovery. also praying for travelling mercies for your mom.

Can't wait till tomorrow morning. I need straightened out badly. Stressed physically and emotionally right now. Been in a bit of pain today and I'm worried about what it might be. But I'm going to see if it passes or if it's something else. It might be my body acting up again from trying to recover and heal itself...yeesh, sometimes recovering from sickness is just as bad as the sickness itself.
Big festival this weekend and I set up today in the pouring rain. It is still pouring. I am just hoping it all washes out tonight, and tomorrow/Saturday are clear and sunny. I need to do well this weekend. (I also hope my tent and equipment is still there in the morning, and relatively dry!)

I did something today I've never done before. I contacted the pastor of a church I don't go to (but I've known him forever and even found out I was related to him by marriage). I set up a meeting with him for earlier this evening, just to talk. To get his perspective and advice on things.
It was amazingly helpful. He didn't solve my problems for me, but he gave me a starting point and ways to cope.
And he prayed for me. It's been years and years since anyone sat next to me and prayed for me. I had forgotten how powerful that is.

It's like a dull ache in my abdominal area. Nothing that has me squirming on the floor.

Guys... right now I am not doing so well.... if you can please pray for me... I'm... I don't know... there's something I need to happen in order for me to get to Canada in August... but I would like to leave it as an unspoken prayer request.. I've been up all night.. haven't been sleeping/eating much.... just stressing about it.

Alright so I just watched something absolutely hilarious on Netflix.
It is called Fully Alive underneath the religion and spirituality tab and there is this man named Ken Davis that is speaking the whole time and man. I have never heard anything that funny and entertaining and heartwarming in a while!
If you get bored have a go, you will not be disappointed.
Towards the end it made me have this thought about God, and about his love for us...It's just weird thinking about it lol....or to actualize it.
