You obviously did not read the rest of my posts in this thread.

I stated in post 12:

"Jesus’ taking authority over the Sabbath both wrests it from the legal framework in which it previously stood and realizes the rest which God’s people were always intended to enjoy. In all three Synoptics, the subsequent miracle is an example of what Jesus’ lordship of the Sabbath will mean in practice: people delivered from the shadow of death and restored into the unblemished image of God.

The Sabbath only features in Paul’s writings negatively. For the Galatians to observe it as if they were still under the Mosaic Law rather than New Covenant moral law would be to descend into gospel-denying slavery (Gal. 4:9–11); for the Colossians to observe it as part of a syncretistic system would be equally fatal (Col. 2:16).

For the Mosaic Law belonged to an earlier era, and since the coming of Christ it is no longer binding (Col. 2:17). Even Sabbath observance ‘for the Lord’ was tolerated only for the sake of those whose faith was weak (Rom. 14:1–12). In short, those in Christ are beyond the jurisdiction of the Old Testament Mosaic Law which has been fulfilled in Jesus.

As God’s perfect human, Jesus lived the Sabbath day for God [already explained to you], releasing his fellow humans from bondage and striving for salvation under the law (e.g. Mosaic Law), bringing them into a new spiritual rebirth in which the moral law of God is written on their heart, bringing them into blessing, and at the last entering Himself into God’s rest.

Ultimately, as Lord of the Sabbath, Jesus made it possible for others to follow him into that rest. This means that the Christian’s task is no longer to keep the Sabbath (Jesus has done that already) as if they were still under the Mosaic Law but rather to believe in Christ and obey Him.

In its final setting, then, the fourth commandment is no longer a commandment for God’s people, but its intent remains. The ‘law of Christ’ anticipates rest by prescribing belief, but now rest has been realized and will have its fullest expression in the gathering of genuine Christians who will reign with the Lamb for ever in the new creation (Rev. 22:3–6)."

Also read post 38 and the respective links here and here.

As I stated previously: "Now [in the new covenant] we strive toward agape love and God's holiness (rooted in his universal morality) rather than the ceremonial tenants of the Mosaic Law... an old covenant God once had with the ancient nation of Israel which Christ fulfilled and that is no longer binding. Confusing the ceremonial law of the old covenant with God's universal morality is fallacious."

This means the part of the ten commandments which contain God's universal morality also exist in the New Covenant which, of course, makes perfect sense as God's universal morality (which as I explained previously is an extension of His own holiness) never changes. The ceremonial portion (e.g. ritual Sabbath religious observance necessary for justification before God in the old covenant) is fulfilled in Christ and does not exist in the New Covenant.

The ancient Sabbath religious observance ritual has nothing to do with salvation today in the new covenant, and nothing to do with the gospel of Jesus Christ. It was never part of the message of the New Testament church. The message is always one of liberty, never one of restrictions on a particular day of the week. God accepts us because of Jesus Christ, not because we observe a ceremonial law of ancient Israel from the old covenant.

Which sabbatarian cult do you belong to? Are you a member of the Seventh Day Adventist religious cult that follows the heretical teachings of the false prophet Ellen G. White?

Yes, I know Jesus as Lord of the Sabbath. But nowhere in your response (nor anywhere in the Bible) do I find the 4th commandment taken away because Jesus had already kept it for us.

The blessings of the Sabbath are these: It symbolizes the rest of salvation that we enter in through Jesus' death on the cross. It is also realized by the rest from all the problems of work and business and the 24 hours of delight that I experience strengthening my relationship with God, getting to know Him more, and fellowshipping with His people on the Sabbath. There I really experience Him as Lord of the Sabbath.

God have mercy on this sick and twisted people that say abiding in the government of our Creator is a cult. Give us the grace and wisdom to know the truth from a lie.

I am not expert in Seventh Day Adventist, but what I read is that some of the prophecy from His prophet was wrong so if this document bellow is right, then Allen White was wrong. And the bible said if one prophecy not come to pass, then don't listen to her, She is false prophet.

Predictions, Scientific Observations - Ellen G. White ® Estate

Some in 1856 Never to Die

[Top of Document]
At a Battle Creek conference on May 27, 1856, Ellen White was given a vision of “two ways” and what it means to travel in either: “They are opposite in character, in life, in dress, and in conversation.” Then she made an observation that has intrigued church members for more than a century: “I was shown the company present at the conference. Said the angel, ‘Some food for worms, some subjects of the seven last plagues, some will be alive and remain upon the earth to be translated at the coming of Jesus.’”[SUP]18[/SUP]
For those present, these words were solemn. Three days after this vision, Clarissa M. Bonfoey, a close family friend of the Whites, died. At the time of the vision apparently she was in good health. But what should we think of this vision today? All who attended that conference have long been dead. Did Ellen White make a flawed prediction?
Understanding this 1856 prediction requires an understanding of the Biblical principle of conditional prophecy.[SUP]19[/SUP] Those who trust the Biblical accounts of unfulfilled prophecy will have no difficulty understanding Ellen White’s 1856 statement. She made frequent reference to the fact that God is not changing His mind about the timing of the Advent; His people have not fulfilled their part of the gospel commission.[SUP]20[/SUP]
In 1901 she summed up her many references to the delayed Advent: “We may have to remain here in this world because of insubordination many more years, as did the children of Israel; but for Christ’s sake, His people should not add sin to sin by charging God with the consequence of their own wrong course of action.”[SUP]21[/SUP]

God have mercy on you for falsely asserting that the religious practice of antiquated ceremonial laws of the old covenant are still part of God's "government" when Jesus Christ fulfilled them and ushered in a new covenant. The old covenant is obsolete, and the new covenant has been established.

God have mercy on you if you have been led astray by a heretical false teacher and prophet such as Ellen G. White and are leading others into the error.

God have mercy on you for calling those who correctly handle the word of truth (God's Word) "sick and twisted."

I'm sorry if you grew up in a sabbatarian cult or were led astray into one but it's your choice to continue in that error after being corrected.

You are here long enough to know very well that quite a few here remembering the Sabbath do not consider it the works of the law but rather enjoying the day off. Must they give up the day off to please the crowd?

If remembering the Sabbath is not works of the Law then why are you doing it? Obedience, right? That's works of the law... Your misunderstanding as to what the law says and how it is kept...

Why try to speak in lawyer-ese? Why not just plainly speak the truth. You desire to work at the law and for everyone else to work at the law as well. You are mostly miffed at the people who are trying to work at the law, like you, but are doing it on the wrong day. I find that funnier than I probably should...

Otherwise, why the distinction of the saturday sabbath rather than any other day of the week sabbath? You see? I don't care what day or how many days off you want to take. I just take exception to judaizers trying to place christians back under the law and giving them reasons why it is more "godly" than the liberty that is in Christ.

What does it mean to be under the Law? It means we are under the punishment which was death but in Christ this was broken with his sacrifice. In the Millennium we are required to keep the Sabbath so how could it be not for today?

Being under the law means you are working at it in your own strength and will.

The only way you are not under the punishment of the Law is if you come to Christ and He gives you rest. Rest from what? From your iniquity and fleshly works of the law.

Galatians 3:24-26
[SUP]24 [/SUP]Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

I find it interesting that people are fine with nine of the commandments. but out of all of them the Sabbath is the most clearly seen before sin came into our world.

Why did God bless and sanctify that day before sin was in the world. just to come and remove it?

You throw Ellen White at anyone who endeavors to keep holy the 7th day, as if it is a great insult to them. I am not a follower of Ellen White, nor do I know much about her except she is dead now. There is only one whom I follow, and that is the Son of the living Almighty, who said to remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. Those who profess to know more than my Creator I consider a "holier than thou" type attitude of which I take no part in.

So trendy today are the "grace only" crowd who say the commandments are abolished when scripture states plainly they are not. Also trendy today are parents who tell their children, "take precautions when you fornicate, because we all know it is impossible to remain pure." What a load of hogwash! All things are possible with Messiah in us.

We can see where this "it is impossible to keep from sinning" attitude has taken a deceived people and a deceived by Satan world, that God's commandments are done away with indeed. ..is just what the devil wants everyone to believe. Yes, the prince of this world has many followers indeed.

It is so sad to see so many still have problems entering into his rest
[h=3]Hebrews 4[/h]New International Version (NIV)
[h=3]A Sabbath-Rest for the People of God[/h]4 Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.[SUP](A)[/SUP] [SUP]2 [/SUP]For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed.[SUP][a][/SUP][SUP](B)[/SUP] [SUP]3 [/SUP]Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said,
“So I declared on oath in my anger,
‘They shall never enter my rest.’”[SUP][b][/SUP][SUP](C)[/SUP]

And yet his works have been finished since the creation of the world. [SUP]4 [/SUP]For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: “On the seventh day God rested from all his works.”[SUP][c][/SUP][SUP](D)[/SUP] [SUP]5 [/SUP]And again in the passage above he says, “They shall never enter my rest.”[SUP](E)[/SUP]
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Therefore since it still remains for some to enter that rest, and since those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience,[SUP](F)[/SUP] [SUP]7 [/SUP]God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted:
“Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts.”[SUP][d][/SUP][SUP](G)[/SUP]

[SUP]8 [/SUP]For if Joshua had given them rest,[SUP](H)[/SUP] God would not have spoken[SUP](I)[/SUP] later about another day. [SUP]9 [/SUP]There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; [SUP]10 [/SUP]for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works,[SUP][e][/SUP][SUP](J)[/SUP] just as God did from his.[SUP](K)[/SUP] [SUP]11 [/SUP]Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.[SUP](L)[/SUP]
[SUP]12 [/SUP]For the word of God[SUP](M)[/SUP] is alive[SUP](N)[/SUP] and active.[SUP](O)[/SUP] Sharper than any double-edged sword,[SUP](P)[/SUP] it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.[SUP](Q)[/SUP] [SUP]13 [/SUP]Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight.[SUP](R)[/SUP] Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

Where did the Lord Jesus say to remember the sabbath day to keep it holy? I can't find it in the KJV...

You still don't understand God's rest
[h=3]Hebrews 4:9-11[/h]King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]9 [/SUP]There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Was the 7th day blessed and sanctified before or after sin came into the world?

Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Is God rest every seventh day?

No. You're wrong. I address the sabbatarian ceremonial error both in a general way but also in a specific way for those that have been led astray by Ellen G. White as members of the SDA cult make up a good number of those who have fallen into observing fulfilled ceremonial law to gain God's favor.

If you had taken the time to read all of my posts in this thread, you would have known that. You would also have seen where I state repeatedly that:

"Now [in the new covenant] we strive toward agape love and God's holiness (rooted in his universal morality) rather than the ceremonial tenants of the Mosaic Law... an old covenant God once had with the ancient nation of Israel which Christ fulfilled and that is no longer binding. Confusing the ceremonial law of the old covenant with God's universal morality is fallacious."

But you apparently were negligent in reading my posts choosing instead to unwisely make false assertions about me. I forgive you for your negligence, ignorance, and arrogance in making false assertions about me and falsely judging me for correcting the same error that Jesus, the apostles, and Paul the apostle to the gentiles did in the New Testament.

Now here's what I want you to do, take both hands reach up to where your eye is and grasp the log and start pulling friend. It's a BIG one so pull hard... lol. :)

Why did God bless and sanctify that day before sin was in the world. just to come and remove it?

God didn't bless a cycle of one out of every seven days. He blessed the day He Rested from His Work. The seventh day of creation. The number that represents fulfillment.

The work of God was fulfilled from the foundation of the world. That's how awesome and omnipotent God is. He had already saved us from His Wrath before Adam and Eve rebelled against Him. Kind of hard to wrap your mind around that one isn't it?

His Rest is what is blessed. His Work is what is blessed.

Our emulation by the flesh of what His Work in the Spirit is, is not what pleases Him. Our Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and the Work that He Does in Us by the Holy Spirit is what is pleasing to God.

Don't you read Matthew 5? Can't you see how your work can not fulfill what is required by the Law, how you can't be perfect as your Father in Heaven is Perfect by your work?

If you can see that then you know that only God can perfect you. If you know that only God can perfect you then you can start to see how coming to Christ, who gives us His Rest, is what the Shadow was pointing to all along.

The Shadow of what? The Shadow of the flesh attempting to emulate and perform the work of the Holy Spirit.

The Sabbath, Rest, is a major sign, or fruit, of the people of God. In this the 7th day Adventists are correct. They just misunderstand what it really is, by the Spirit. And place theirselves back under the law, falling from grace...

Hebrews 4...

Its so hard to show people, who are just trying to please God, that their work doesn't do it. We, who are in the flesh, mostly suck, most of the time. But we have this hope that is in Christ. That this work that He started in us He will be faithful to complete.

It's like bursting their little bubble. Pop. We are special people of God because we don't work on saturdays. Pop. Nope. We are special people of God because we don't rely on our own work for our salvation and our subsequent perfection. We rely on Christ and Christ Alone. That's what makes us special. Or peculiar if you like that word better... Matt 11:28-30, John 15:4-5

I asked a question. You come back with a lot of assumptions on why I do what I do.

You're SDA aren't you?

Was I wrong about something that offends you?

Yes I am, you have not offended me so don't worry.

I was pointing out that you make assumptions, such as:

"We are special people of God because we don't work on saturdays."

"
who are just trying to please God," etc

I don't keep the Sabbath simply to please God or because it makes me feel special.

I keep it because it is part of the 10 commandments which are the fruit of the Spirit in me. I obey because I love what Jesus has done for me and is doing in me.

That doesn't make any sense.

You are working at the law because the Lord has given you rest?

The Holy Spirit and the Fruit of that Spirit is not enough for Righteousnesss? You must add your works of the law to it?
