Sad but true. We are like the Israelites who looked left and right and lost focus on the One who led them out of slavery. Now we are slavery to this world. First they substituted the Sabbath with Sunday so many got used to work on the Sabbath. Then they took away Sunday also. All the while they deceive us with the abuse of bible verses. It's not hard to figure out who they are.

There is a big misunderstanding.

The laws are misunderstood because they are taught by men

Sabbath is in Bible from Genesis to revelation
Sunday is never mentioned as a day blessed or changed or worshipped in all Gods bible or even in the apocrypha.

so
Tell me, Grandpa, WHY do you keep sunday?

God, in the Judgment day could ask you that.
He could say

"Grandpa, why did you keep sunday, and teach other christians to keep sunday?
Don't you know that You are to give a biblical reason for everything you do?
Tell me your reason why you keep sunday?

I also want to know I just cant find it.
If you can show me that the blessing from the Sabbath is Removed
and God told us to change days
and that he blessed sunday instead for the rest day
and that all christians should now worship on that day
I would like to see it

You see, I go by the bible the word of God and I will follow Gods word.

Show me from the word of god where I am wrong?

dont you know that the new testament was changed in 18 places where someone took out (Day 1 of the sabbath week, day two of the Sabbth week, and substituted WEEK?

did you know dozens of times they changed SABBATH DAY REST to just REST?

go look it up

why would they do it?

tell me
I want to know why they are so eager to change the Sabbath after God told us to REMEMBER IT

kind of like the apple at Eden isnt it?

And tell me Grandpa,
Who do you think has the authority to change a Bible doctrine?

If your pastor changed some things around in revelation, would you follow him?
Is he above God?

and also if the POPE changed the day, woudl nyou follow him?
Just speculatin, you see

yes, if the pope admitted that there is no reason to keep sunday except by HIS GODLY above God authority to change it, would you keep it then?>

just wondering...

I have come to Christ and He has given me Sabbath. Just like He said He would. Its not about which day of the week to take off.

I teach other Christians that they aren't under the Mosaic Law at all. And if they go back to it, they must keep the whole thing and not just cherry pick their favorites, such as vacations on saturdays...

Hebrews 7:11-19
[SUP]11 [/SUP]If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
[SUP]12 [/SUP]For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest,
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

So if you want to practice Judaism then go ahead. Just call it by its proper name. If you want to practice Christianity then by all means, practice Christianity.

But choose one or the other for goodness sakes. Don't try to mix the two.

Who has authority to change bible doctrine? The Lord Jesus Christ alone.

Matthew 11:28-30

[SUP]28 [/SUP]Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
[SUP]29 [/SUP]Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
[SUP]30 [/SUP]For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light

Galatians 5:1-5

[SUP]1[/SUP]Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

[SUP]2 [/SUP]Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

[SUP]3 [/SUP]For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

[SUP]4 [/SUP]Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

I have come to Christ and He has given me Sabbath. Just like He said He would. Its not about which day of the week to take off.

.
If you really followed Christ about the Sabbath, you would follow that Christ did not change it. You "He has given me Sabbath" is changing a lot of things.

The Mosaic Law was given to us by God. Abraham was a gentile, he was made the beginning of the Jews who were given work to do for us. We are included in the seeds of Abraham through our faith.

There is no where that the Law, read in spirit and truth, is not from our God and part of Him. The 119th Psalms tells us about our law. Through it we are told we are blessed by obedience and punished when we disobey. It never once says that that law is what God looks at for our eternal life, it is faith that we have for that. But if you think that the Mosaic Law has no effect on your life, just go steal something or express hate for your fellow Christians, and you will see that the law is in effect.

[SUP]12 [/SUP]For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
[SUP]yes with priesthood of jesus(because of old priest sac. not last long enough to cover sin)no longer needed.
this has no bering to ten commands, go back to your bible

[/SUP] the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,)

[SUP]12 [/SUP]For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
[SUP][/SUP]
for priesthood law only

[SUP]17 [/SUP]For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec- priest of God pre jesus
[SUP]
this has nothing to do about this next verce

18 [/SUP]For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
these are talking about Gods 10 that he wants eyeryone to do

( Who has authority to change bible doctrine? The Lord Jesus Christ alone.)

you are so right

Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath,to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant(Exodus 31:16).

I could post 50 verses to keep his sabbaths Holy

and another 100 verses to keep all his ten commands .

and then another 50 verses of curses if you want

([SUP]1[/SUP]Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.)
you have no idea what that means

(
for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.)

yes be like him, and do what he did, which was his custom,

and will rest with him when he comes back

[SUP]5 [/SUP]For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

this world is taught a lie about God changing his sabbath

those keeping sabbath are hidden before hand- sabath is Gods mark

those keeping sunday go into tribulation- sunday is devils mark

now another decption, is who gets saved and everyone fighting

one groupkeeping Gods laws, and faith of christ now
will get to adminster later-which i choice to be

but we have another group, that comes by faith in Christ.
that will be in Gods kingdom.

these two have been fighting for a long time

But they miss the point, us brothers are all nothing without Christ

and should not hinder his brother

we all have the same Father, but diferent mothers

Im just a messanger, hoping people hear the truth.

peace to all,

so since you accept the roman catholic church's claim that they changed the sabbath without question...i suppose you likewise accept the roman church's claim that the pope is the successor of peter and that we should pray to mary?

i mean that would be the logically consistent thing to do...

Hi Rachel

No - I was simply pointing out that the Catholic church claims to have changed the 7th day Sabbath to the Sunday observance. I do not believe the Pope is Gods representative on earth nor do I pray to Mary or suggest anyone else do so. I believe God is the only one (Trinity) that should receive our worship and confession. Just because a church claims to have authority to change times and laws does not make it so. God has given the laws He wants us to obey and again I must obey God rather than man. Nice try to twist around the point I was trying to get across.

This is all a big misunderstanding that only has one solution in order to be cleared up.

I would think that at the very least you would hear Paul. But even that's not the case. If you don't hear Paul then you certainly won't hear me.

God's Law is not abolished. Our working at it by our flesh and misunderstanding is what is abolished. Faith in Christ doesn't abolish the Law. It fulfills it.

No one can cause anyone else to not be under the law. Only The Lord Jesus Christ can cause someone to not be under the law anymore.

Galatians 3:24-25
[SUP]24 [/SUP]Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Personally I would rather hear God - if you remember correctly that Paul got knocked off of his high horse with a bright light and then Paul heard what God had to say.

I have come to Christ and He has given me Sabbath.
Indeed, the Word of God has given man the Sabbath.
Its not about which day of the week to take off.
This is what God said:
By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God....for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

Come again. What does God, the Word of God, say which day?
I teach other Christians that they aren't under the Mosaic Law at all.
This is the burden one has to speak against the Sabbath under the current religious system. I have given up this false teaching and come to Christ for the rest. It's about time you do the same.
And if they go back to it, they must keep the whole thing and not just cherry pick their favorites, such as vacations on saturdays...
This is false teaching under the current religious system. The bible never teach one cannot take a vacation on the Sabbath. Indeed, the Sabbath is our little vacation very week. Of course it's something else if one's definition of vacation is like the secular world's which a lot of things they do on the Sabbath is against the faith such as shopping tours and concerts or ballgames cheering for their idols.

Very well expressed and something that you have to answer if you don't believe that the 10 commandments are relevant to us which leads on to another question. If you believe we don't have to keep the fourth commandment, why do you have to keep any of them?

[SUP]34 [/SUP]My covenant will I not break or profane, nor alter the thing that is gone out of My lips.

If I remember correctly God also spoke His commandments from Mt Sinai.

Zechariah 11:7-17[SUP]7 [/SUP]So I pastured the flock doomed to slaughter, hence the afflicted of the flock. And I took for myself two staffs: the one I called Favor and the other I called Union; so I pastured the flock. [SUP]8 [/SUP]Then I annihilated the three shepherds in one month, for my soul was impatient with them, and their soul also was weary of me. [SUP]9 [/SUP]Then I said, “I will not pasture you. What is to die, let it die, and what is to be annihilated, let it be annihilated; and let those who are left eat one another’s flesh.” [SUP]10[/SUP]I took my staff Favor and cut it in pieces, to break my covenant which I had made with all the peoples. [SUP]11 [/SUP]So it was broken on that day, and thus the afflicted of the flock who were watching me realized that it was the word of the Lord. [SUP]12 [/SUP]I said to them, “If it is good in your sight, give me my wages; but if not, never mind!” So they weighed out thirty shekels of silver as my wages. [SUP]13 [/SUP]Then the Lord said to me, “Throw it to the potter, that magnificent price at which I was valued by them.” So I took the thirty shekels of silver and threw them to the potter in the house of the Lord. [SUP]14 [/SUP]Then I cut in pieces my second staff Union, to break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.[SUP]15 [/SUP]The Lord said to me, “Take again for yourself the equipment of a foolish shepherd. [SUP]16 [/SUP]For behold, I am going to raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for the perishing, seek the scattered, heal the broken, or sustain the one standing, but will devour the flesh of the fat sheep and tear off their hoofs.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]“Woe to the worthless shepherd
Who leaves the flock!
A sword will be on his arm
And on his right eye!
His arm will be totally withered
And his right eye will be blind.”

Matthew 27:3-10
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Then when Judas, who had betrayed Him, saw that He had been condemned, he felt remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, [SUP]4 [/SUP]saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” But they said, “What is that to us? See to that yourself!” [SUP]5 [/SUP]And he threw the pieces of silver into the temple sanctuary and departed; and he went away and hanged himself. [SUP]6 [/SUP]The chief priests took the pieces of silver and said, “It is not lawful to put them into the temple treasury, since it is the price of blood.” [SUP]7 [/SUP]And they conferred together and with the money bought the Potter’s Field as a burial place for strangers. [SUP]8 [/SUP]For this reason that field has been called the Field of Blood to this day. [SUP]9 [/SUP]Then that which was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: “And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of the one whose price had been set by the sons of Israel; [SUP]10 [/SUP]and they gave them for the Potter’s Field, as the Lord directed me.”

The Ten Commandments are a summary of the Old Covenant
Exodus 34:28 “So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights. He neither ate bread nor drank water. And he wrote on the tablets the word of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.
Exodus 31:18 “And he gave to Moses when he had finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.
Deut 4:13 “And he declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, that is, the Ten Commandments, and he wrote them on two tablets of stone”.
Deut 9:9 “When I went up the mountain to receive the tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant that the Lord made with you.”
Deut 9:11 “And at the end of forty days and forty nights the Lord gave me the two tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant.”
The Old Covenant was an agreement between God and Israel, not God and Christians
Ex 31:12-17 And the Lord said to Moses, “You are to speak to the people of Israel and say, ‘Above all you shall keep my Sabbaths, for this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I, the Lord, sanctify you. You shall keep the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall be put to death. Whoever does any work on it, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall be put to death. Therefore the people of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations, as a covenant forever. It is a sign forever between me and the people of Israel that in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.”
The Old Covenant is no longer in effect for ANYONE
Heb 8:13-9:4 In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away. Now even the first covenant had regulations for worship and an earthly place of holiness. For a tent was prepared, the first section, in which were the lampstand and the table, and the bread of the Presence. It is called the Holy Place. Behind the second curtain was a second section called the Most Holy Place, having the golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was a golden urn holding the manna, and Aaron’s staff that budded, and the tablets of the covenant.
Gal 3:17 This is what I mean: the law, which came 430 years afterwards, does not annul a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to make the promise void.
Gal 3:19 Why then the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the offspring should come to whom the promise had been made, and it was put in place through angels by an intermediary.
Gal 3:24 So the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith
Gal 3:25 But now that faith is come, we are no longer under a guardian
2 Cor 3:4-18 Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. Now if the ministry of death, carved in letters on stone, came with such glory that the Israelites could not gaze at Moses’ face because of its glory, which was being brought to an end, will not the ministry of the Spirit have even much more glory? For if there was glory in the ministry of condemnation, the ministry of righteousness must far exceed it in glory. Indeed, in this case, what once had glory has come to have no glory at all, because of the glory that surpasses it. For if what was being brought to an end came with glory, much more will what is permanent have glory. Since we have such a hope, we are very bold, not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not gaze at the outcome of what was being brought to an end. But their minds were hardened. For to this day, when they read the old covenant, that same veil remains unlifted, because only through Christ is it taken away. Yes, to this day whenever Moses is read a veil lies over their hearts. But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
The Sabbath, as part of the Old Covenant, is not in affect for ANYONE
Gal 4:10 You observe days and months and seasons and years! I am afraid I may have labored over you in vain.
Rom 14:5-6 One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.
Col 2:16-17 Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ
Jesus is our Sabbath or spiritual rest, and we enter into that spiritual rest by placing our faith in Him
Matt 11:28-30 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and lean from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Heb 4:1-8 Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of you should seem to have failed to reach it. For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened. For we who have believed enter that rest, as he has said, “As I swore in my wrath, They shall not enter my rest. “ although his works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he has somewhere spoken of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all his works.” And again in this passage he said, “They shall not enter my rest.”. Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the good news failed to enter because of disobedience, again he appoints a certain day, “Today”, saying through David so long afterward, in the words already quoted. “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.” For if Joshua had not given them rest, God would not have spoken of another day later on. So then there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from is works as God did from his. Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience.
Christians are under the New Covenant, which has much higher demands and different commandments
Luke 22:20 And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.”
Heb 9:15 Therefore, he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.
Jn 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
Jn 15:12 This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
Jn 15:17 These things I command you, so that you will love one another
Rom 13:10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
I am a former Sabbathkeeper due to my association as a new believer with Worldwide Church of God (now called Grace Communion International). Worldwide Church of God came to realize in 1995 that Christians are under the New Covenant, and not the Old Covenant, and the Sabbath does not apply to Christians under the New Covenant. It was a sign of the Old Covenant (like baptism and the Lord’s Supper are signs of the New Covenant), and is not a moral absolute like Sabbathkeepers claim. Sabbathkeeping doctrine invariably takes the focus off the true gospel, which is about Jesus Christ and salvation by grace through faith in Him (Eph 2:8-9). As a Sabbathkeeper, I rarely heard messages about God’s grace and love; the message of such organizations invariably focuses on the Sabbath. Jesus Christ was also placed on the backburner and was not the focus of their teaching. If you would like good sources of information in regards to the Sabbath check out Grace Communion International’s website at https://www.gci.org/law I now attend an Evangelical Free church that focuses on Jesus Christ and salvation through Him, which is the true gospel.

There is no proof that any human observed the Sabbath before Moses.

Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

What do we learn from this?

God sanctified this day and set it apart before sin came into the world. This means it was designed to be a permanent part of life on earth. It was made for perfect people on a perfect earth that was designed to last forever.

It was made for humanity before the Jewish nation existed.

Enough Said.
