Okay, you need to know that the bible states that the devil asked God cann he bother Job and his life. God said yes but he could not kill him. The devil asked God in the bible could he sigt (try) Peter and God also gave him permission. I think God does give the devil permission to mess with his people. Alot of christians call it testing our faith. And i know those scriptures, have quoted them before too. and went to church on a regular. Either im satans child or its just not working. Everytime i pray things got worse from what i recall. I used to be born again but i wouldnt consider myself that now and im pretty sure you can tell why. And why does it seem like the scriptures contridict themselves? You just quoted some that stated God doesnt want us to suffer. When if you look at the post above you from another christian member. He mentions a story where it says that God shows he loves us in suffering and wants us to suffer in joy. I even was given a scripture. Then why does other scriptures say. Just as christ suffered we shall suffer? And others that say, if they hated Christ then they shall hate his followers as well. There are also scriptures that say he will put us through suffering to refine us. SMH... PLEASE... WOULD YOU GUYS MAKE UP YOUR MIND....

The book of Job is very misunderstood.
Job was already under Satan's power. Job 1: 12. God will allow what we allow, And God is allowing what you allow your problems to do to you.

God never gave Satan permission to bother Job or Peter.
Everything that happened to Job, Only took 9 months, Then in Chapter 42: 10---17, We see that God blessed Job's remaining 140 years and gave him twice as much as what he had before.
I find it amazing that when people talk about Job, It is always in the negative, Yet there is a lot more positive things that happened to Job.

Even if what you say was true, Job and Peter were under the Old Testament, As the New Testament didn't come into force until Jesus died and rose again.
The Old Testament was under law, And the New Testament is under grace.

And as I have shown you, We can and should walk in the victory that Jesus died in agony to give us.
We have to come against the devil, If you don't God wont and you will never be victorious.

I didn't do my first post to argue with you, I gave it to help you.

The only suffering that Christians should have, Is persecution.

And heres another question. You say Gods people are protected. Then why are there so many martyrs for christ here and in other countries? Why from the begining of time christians have been killed and tormented? And if God is soo powerful then the devil then why does the devil have a kingdom down here on earth that majority of the world is following and love. why is our country supporting it and kicked God out. You cant even send a christmas card to veterans saying merry CHRISTMAS or GOD BLESS. smh.. why wont God show himself?

There are three main reasons why people are defeated or martyred.
[1]Lack of knowledge.
[2]Lack of faith.
[3Sin and disobedience.

The devil is the god of this world, NOT God the Father.
When God created man He gave them authority over everything, Then Adam sold out to the devil and transferred the authority over to the devil.
And now God can't just do what he wants to.
He has given the authority back to His people, And if we don't do anything about our circumstances, The God can't.
Jesus has already won the victory for us, just like He has already saved the world, But people need to repent and get born again in order to enjoy salvation, It's the same with a victorious life, We have to walk in the victory.
Jesus has already healed us, But we have to believe it and receive healing.

People are waiting for God to do something, and God is waiting for us to do something.

Why should we carry any burdens if Jesus died for them? The burden of poverty, the burden of death or pain of it? The burden of struggle? Why should we? I thought Jesus said. Come to me all heavy burdened. I thought he said he's close to the broken hearted. I thought he said I come that you may have life and that more abundantly. He said your ladder end will be greater than you beginning. Or was he referring to ETERNAL LIFE ONLY? Again I think the scriptures contradict themselves.

Once a person has cast their burdens on the Lord, They shouldn't have them anymore.
Casting our cares on Jesus, Means we believe we have them anymore, Faith says, "God has given me the victory".

People cast their cares on the Lord, 1 Pet 5: 7, Then fail to resist the devil, V8--9.
And that person will be devoured by the devil V8.

It's one thing to commit our troubles to God, But we also need to do our part, Which is, Bind and resist the devil, Claim our victory [By faith] and praise God for the victory.

BUT HE WONT DO IT...THE QUESTION IS WHY?

If God could do what He want, He would deliver you, Because He loves you and wants you set free.
I will tell you why God hasn't done it, Because you said, He wont, Whereas faith says He has already done it.

You have tried waiting for God to do it, So why don't you try it God's way, Which is, "Bind the devil and the suffering in the name of Jesus", Come against your problems, Speak to your mountains [And they will go].

These principles have worked for everyone who does them in faith.

I am happy to pray for you and will do so today. However, can I offer some advice as well? Please stop blaming God. It only serves to frustrate you and delight the enemy. If you are on a boat in the middle of the ocean and you are facing 50ft waves, the last thing you need to do is chop up your boat and jump overboard. Hard as this may be for you to accept or understand, God loves you. He loves you with all his heart and if you were the only sinner on earth he would have still sent Jesus to earth to die for you. I am not going to kid you on and say that I do not at times have questions for God (ie: Father why did this happen or why did that happen). But I will say this, I will not question God (ie: call into question his divine purpose for my life or his divine integrity).

I am prepared to accept that there may be things that happen to me in this life that will never be explained until I meet the Lord. However, accepting Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and saviour requires me to acknowledge that God is omniscient and infallible he knows all things, he does not lie and he simply cannot make a mistake. Once you accept that you will take your first steps on the road to victory.

The second bit of advice I would give you is that, like others have suggested, you need to take authority over your situation. God is not going to re-play the act the salvation for you, because you don't get it. It is finished! As Peter says is 2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called by His own glory and goodness.

In other words it is done! However, activating God's promises is dependent on our level of knowledge of him. Put it like this, if someone puts a million dollars in your bank account, but you do not know how to withdraw it, guess what? You will never see the money. Don't blame the bank or the bank employees and definitely don't blame the person who was benevolent enough to put the money in the bank for you!

God is not incapable of doing anything if we don't do anything. I think you should clarify what you mean here.
Also I think you should go back and revise your three reason people are defeated or martyred because none of those are reasons people are martyred. People who confess Jesus are martyred because they HOLD to their faith and refuse to deny Christ in the face of religious persecution.

Infinity,
I understand all your questions. I've asked them all and been angry at God. At the age of 36 I have been given several responses from God to these questions.

Can God be trusted? Yes, to many numerous verses to post in response to this. I dreamed one night a few months back that I was standing on the edge of the earth {i realize the earth does not have edges but in the dream it did}. I saw heaven far across the black expanse of space and was questioning how I would get across to there. Suddenly Jesus appeared filling the gap between me and heaven like a bridge, he was so huge. His fingertips touched the earth where I stood and and touched heaven, like a bridge. Then he turned his head and looked down at me and said ''Trust me, I am big enough.'' Then I woke up.

Does God hate me? Psalm 22:1-5 was given to me once when I asked God why He hated me so much? Turns out He doesn't.

Does life seem unfair to us? Yes, God showed me Psalm 73 at the age of 19 when I prayed to him about this.
Genesis 18:25 ''Shall not the Judge of the Earth do right?'' at a later time in my life.
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. Isaiah 55:8

Is God fair? Not by our definition. But by his, Yes.
Ezekial 18:25-32 Is my way unjust? Is it not your ways that are unjust? 26 If a righteous person turns from their righteousness and commits sin, they will die for it; because of the sin they have committed they will die. 27 But if a wicked person turns away from the wickedness they have committed and does what is just and right, they will save their life. 28 Because they consider all the offenses they have committed and turn away from them, that person will surely live; they will not die. 29 Yet the Israelites say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ Are my ways unjust, people of Israel? Is it not your ways that are unjust?

Is life easy as a christian? No. Is life easy as a non christian? Not really. Life isn't easy on either side of the fence then. However with God you are sure that someone actually cares you exist and life isn't meaningless and that He wants to save you to a life of eternity. Plenty of verses for this as well.

Jesus has done everything He is going to do about our troubles, He died to set us free.
Now God tells us to Bind the circumstance's. He has told us to move our mountains.
God told His people in the Old Testament, "If you don't drive the enemy out, I wont do it for you". Num 33: 55.

I take it you are joking about, Lack of knowledge, lack of faith and sin??.
Either that or you are saying God made a mistake.
Rom 8: 37. 2 Cor 2: 14. 1 Jn 5: 4--5.

Let me show you.
Lack of knowledge,
Prov 11: 9.Isaiah 5: 13. Hosea 4: 6.

Lack of faith.
Mk 6: 5-6. Heb 4: 1--3.
All you have to do is, Se how many times Jesus said, "Thy faith has delivered you", Or words to that effect.
What is the opposite of "faith for deliverance"?.
Lake of faith =no deliverance.

Sin & disobedience.
Matt 12: 33--35. Jn 5: 14.
Ps 84: 11. What is the opposite to righteousness and blessings?.
Answer, unrighteous and no blessings.

As for the martyr's, You are going by people experience rather then God's word.

To many people have been religiously brainwashed instead od Biblically taught.

I have soo many reasons im upset with God and my life, my family etc. I dont understand why he wants me to suffer. I dont understand why everything i work hard for he lets the devil take from me or i lose it. I am tired of hearing the excuse from christians that God didnt do it and its me or the devil.Especially when it clearly states in the bible that the devil can only do what God allows him to do. Im tired of hearing that im going through soo much in my life because i have a very high calling on my life or God is testing me. Im tired of watching the mean, wicked, evil and greedy people in life prosper. While nice good giving and compassionate people like ive always been are left for dead, or either struggling and used. Im tired of everytime i come close to God something horrible happens to me or in my life. I dont understand God. I dont understand how ive been raised a christian and in God and he can just watch me fall apart and be mistreated. I have a mother for a christian that maybe doesnt do sins such as sex, and chemical dependencies but is a user, liar manipulator, favoritism etc. And she goes to church, prays, ect. smh. I hate how, things get very hard and your being kicked around, hit rock bottom and lose everything, and heartbroke and looking at death and GOD expects you to not sin, avoid temptation, and have faith! Are you kidding me? Then when you fall or dont do what he expects because your only human and most likely devasted and miserable. He has you suffer the consequences for your sinful actions. smh. Im furious and i have had a relationship with God before off and on. I know he wants us to obey but how do you do that with certain things going on in your life thats overbearing? Then God says, HE WONT PUT SO MUCH ON YOU THAT YOU CANT BARE. I THINK THATS CRAPT. CAUSE JUST CAUSE YOU MAKE IT OUT OF IT DOESNT MEAN YOU COULD BARE IT, YOU MAY COME OUT ALL AGED AND BEAT UP PHYSICALLY, EMOTIONALLY DAMAGED, ECT. I guess if your still breathing then you could bare it hugh? Please. If anyones reading this, you see i need prayer for salvation again because im clearly not saved anymore. Whats bad is that i am looking at death :( and i have to make peace with him before i die so i can get into the pearly gates. smh PLEASE PRAY FOR ME
Where is the F-A-I-T-H ????

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)

Brother remember God gave Adam every thing with the chose to live for every or die, he chose what we where to do, and God went right to work on getting us back with a plan for us through Jesus Christ.

Did you read where God was as upset as you are with the Devil when he seen every one doing every thing that was evil and was opposite of what God had attendant for us we he went to Noah and told him that he REPEANTED every making man. This is a rather big statement don't you think on how he felt about the very blood line we had come from up until Noah and how upset he was when stated that he would never do that again by rain. And made a rainbow to remind us of this covenant.

Or how about knowing the truth as the apostles did after Christ return and each one of them where killed except one. Do you really believe God doesn't know or care? Is any body knocking on your door to kill you for what you believe in? Are you going to hand over all your power to the devil and just give in? I have as many questions on the note of how good God is as opposed to how much I know and believe about the truth. You have a chance to know the truth or deny the truth this is what God has given every one the right to have and is why he hasn't sent Christ back yet because he loves us so much that he will not leave one behind that haven't been able to hear the gospel YET!

Do as Christ did when he was tempted tell the serpent to get away from you as greater is in YOU then he (devil) of this world!! Fight back and fight a good fight and use the tools of the word of God to defeat that dam Devil and all his rodents that followed him!!!!! As they to had a chance to follow the truth and live a great life of peace for ever but there greed and lies has caused them to tremble in the day of our Lords coming they believe he word of what is to come, The tongue guides the vessel which direction are you sailing?

Peace and love from our Father and son Jesus Christ forever. Amen
Brother in Christ for ever more

So, according to your theory, you no longer have issues in your life, and will never sin again.

Frankly, I worry about those who satan leaves alone. Seems to me they pose no threat to him. And if you're no threat to satan... well, do I really need to finish that sentence?

I used to feel the same way, because I was suffering from demonic oppression and from demonically induced schizophrenia and what not, and I've had a demon try to take my future away from me and stuff, essentially what first we must understand is we are in a war, and there are two main players. If we decide to side with God, he will test us and prune us to make us more Christ-like, and that means sometimes we lose things we are holding on to that are maybe idols or whatever, so we can put God first, because God is jealous like that, and that offends sometimes. Other times, it can be just a demonic attack and you need to rebuke it all away in Jesus name and start claiming victory by living obediently, calling out to God constantly, and whatever. I learned that because of sin, there is suffering no matter what, and that as believers we are actually called to be partakers of the sufferings of sin. I get tired many days, and I suffer from lots of tension and fear, but I just got to keep remembering that God is good, even though I suffer and must suffer to get through life, I am convinced that there are eternal riches awaiting me that surpass the suffering and the riches of this world. So that perspective helps, and then James, where we are to count as an opportunity to give thanks and glory to God for Jesus and everything good (count it as an opportunity for joy!) So even though we suffer trials, we should embrace them and try to be joyous, and you must keep trying to push through, it took me a hospitalization and medication induced suffering to test and now freedom.

Keep calling out to God, honestly its natural but just remember what the bible says to do in those moments. I pray that God would grant you a spirit of wisdom, understanding, peace, love, and I rebuke right now in the name of Jesus any works of the devil in your life, and pray restoration and healing in Jesus name, and that God might use this hard circumstances and times to make you stronger and bolder for his name, glory and kingdom! I pray that in Jesus name, Amen!

I understand the feeling of "why" ...... I too, went through a time of trial and temptation. I seriously laid on my floor, face down, begging God to take away the tormenting temptation. I quoted scripture back to Him. The one that tells us ' there is no temptation so great we can't overcome.' I fell anyway. I did not win that battle by begging God to take it away. I was mad at God too. He never took His eyes off me and He pulled me back into the fold, and out of the thing that had lured me away from Him. I honestly felt He let me down too. I had served him well for 20 years. I had intimate relationship with Jesus. He was my Savior, how could I turn from Him ? The sin was so great. I knew all the scriptures, I cast out demons that were luring me away. I understand that hellish feeling, and I also understand how we can blame God. I was blessed to be a prodigal He forgave when I repented. For few years, I kept asking God what happened ? YOU promised No temptation would over power me, that YOU said YOU would make a way out. Why, did YOU not keep YOUR WORD ? A few years later I got my answer. HE told me... "I did make a way out for you." "You chose to keep putting yourself in a situation that kept you in harms way." I made away out, HE said... Then it hit me.... It was so true. I was the responsible party, not God. ~ God bless you in your endeavor to find your way home ~ He is just waiting with arms wide open..

Why did satan ask God if he can bother Job - and why did God say yes to Satan's request?

God boasted about his Servant Job, he said in Job 1:8 "Did you notice my servent Job? There is no on on earth as faithful and good as he is, He worships me and is careful not to do anything evil"

Then Satan replied "Would Job worship you if he got nothing out of it? You have always protected him and his family.... but suppose you take everything away, he will curse you to your face!"

The thing is that God had such confidence that even IF all things were taken away from Job, that Job would not fall. And to prove a point God allowed Satan to have a go at Job.

The question I will ask is "Are you in Job's shoes, or as flawless as this man was for God to prove a point?"

You need to seek God and all his righteousness hun.

:)

Job is a very searching book.

We all need patience in a practical way. Because the Lord is and remains sovereign; this is really the key.

Are you sure you are seeking prayer?

The thing is... once you come to the realization that this entire "thing" meaning our existence, Creation, the End of days and even Satan's part in all of this, is to eventually Reveal the true Glory of God, and Magnify his Sovereignty - and that we are after all the clay and He the Potter - you will always remain angry at him, and as long as you remain angry at him, you will never understand that God's Grace is enough for us.

Isaiah 45: 8 - 10

8 "Drip down, O heavens, from above, And let the clouds pour down righteousness; Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, And righteousness spring up with it. I, the LORD, have created it. 9 "Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker-- An earthenware vessel among the vessels of earth! Will the clay say to the potter, 'What are you doing?' Or the thing you are making say, 'He has no hands'? 10 "Woe to him who says to a father, 'What are you begetting?' Or to a woman, 'To what are you giving birth?'"

Heavenly Father, all the answers we have out of knowledge we gain from your word, but with all the knowledge we have, if we have no love, what good is it for? Lord I pray for this woman, who finds herself in a place of confusion, questioning, anger and most of all despair - you know her woe's you know how she struggles to keep her head above the rushing waters that threaten to pull her under. God only YOU know the heart, You know what the mind is full of, and you know the answers to the many questions she has.

I pray Lord, that you will reach out and lift her from the miry clay and put her feet on the Rock which is You. Giver her wisdom to interpret and discern her situation but most of all give her Grace, and Love, Kindness and Gentleness. Lord let her see your Love. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
