I absolutely believe we can question but we should do it with the aim to seek understanding, not to discredit the Bible and find reasons to reject God's Word and God. I certainly don't hold to the view that those who disagree with me aren't Christian (there are plenty I don't agree with but only some of them spread false teachings) but as I've said before, your posts and your attitude towards core Christian beliefs seem to speak volumes.
Ah. So this is a problem with "understanding". Because eventually, you end up on a road where you have two choices.
Choice A: The only answer you can derive from said verse, topic, or event in the bible.
Choice B: Be ignorant of that fact, and try to "re-interpret" it into something that it is not against your already held beliefs.
You'll see this a lot when the topics of genocide, slavery, and sin are brought up in the bible.

My attitude is of someone who has studied other religions and Christianity.
I don't share the hippy-jesus feelings most here have. I don't particularly care for the vague answers that don't address the questions.
Maybe I'm just more practical, who knows?
