Well, this is the part where I play the party pooper.

When I first started reading this thread, admittedly, I was quite saddened by the attacks on Tintin being Australian. Although it was directed at him, I felt the sting of it. I know, even I joined in and made a joke about Australians and comically swung at myself. I guess I thought it would be easier to laugh instead of being Ms Pouty La-la.

Look, I'm not overly fond of Australia, although I am glad to be in a country that has many, many benefits and is seemingly safe. Having parents that were not born and raised in Australia, I never really felt 'Australian' despite myself being born here. I didn't think I had any kind of patriotic nerve in my body at all, but I can understand why an Australian CC user would stand up with the fists ready.

Again, I don't want to rain on your guys' parade, I'm sure many of you know I love a good joke and a good laugh, but this thread mildly stung me and as much as I wish it didn't, it just did. In no shape or form do I expect people to start apologising or anything, just have a think about it, guys.

Blessings.

I understand, I'm very patriotic and I stick up for America and American's. Our restaurants do serve way way way to much food here in America, just sayin Americans.

We interrupt the trolling of Tintin to bring you a very important announcement:

Arlene, I just want to say that if I did have anything against Australia, I would never try to hint at it by making jokes. It sounds like a wonderful place. I am told that rabies doesn't even exist in Australia, which I find awesome. I even like "waltzing Matilda", even though it's a little sad.

We now return to your regularly scheduled trolling of Tintin, already in progress.

I would move across the boarder for that special woman in a heartbeat. In the winter we would make snow angels on the ground and drink cocoa with mini-marshmallows. And at night cuddle and snuggle underneath the blanket...

??? that way you can save it for lunch the next day!

Just cuz its put in front of you doesn't mean you have to eat it all.

Unless it's fast food. Have you SEEN the food portion sizes here? Fast food should not be kept in a fridge to be saved for the next day. Maybe stuff like Red Lobster and Outback Steakhouse you can save it.

I save leftovers. I still think portion sizes should be cut back. There is a lot of unnecessary waste.
