Scored right in between INTJ and ISTJ on the MBTI test.
INTJ: With Introverted Intuition dominating their personality, INTJs focus their energy on observing the world, and generating ideas and possibilities. Their mind constantly gathers information and makes associations about it. They are tremendously insightful and usually are very quick to understand new ideas. However, their primary interest is not understanding a concept, but rather applying that concept in a useful way. Unlike the INTP, they do not follow an idea as far as they possibly can, seeking only to understand it fully. INTJs are driven to come to conclusions about ideas. I know all about these tests. I know more than everyone here. I researched it more deeply and I could instruct even the certified administrators.
This is all a lie.
Stop allowing tests created by the carnal minds to instruct the new child in God as to what they are. Let God shape you, not a machine. For you answer those tests, and then the test gives you back your own answers, except drawn into a picture and categorized according to attributes which EVERYBODY HAS.
And then there are some who are capable of being exceptional at all of the qualities listed in the tests, and the tests do not allow room for that.
Not to mention the fact that these tests are based upon archetypes. This is another form of astrology. It's junk.
You will get no where, and you will be nothing more than what that test says, until you submit to God's molding and not your own preconceived notion of what you think you should be.
Stop this stuff now, please. I know from experience, this stuff will only interfere with God's plans for you and they will not encourage you, or lift you up, or help you to do anything in this life except for know how to regurgitate what you think you are and how to make friends of the carnally minded.

INFJ... they reckon less than 1%... but as there are a few people on here who got it, and definitely not 100 ppls reporting here, perhaps its more of a christian set of character traits? *shrug*
Seems pretty accurate. Does seem a pretty rare breed of people though. Can't say I've met many people like myself in my life time. I always just thought people were giant turdbags when I was little, couldn't understand how they could treat each other so badly, why it wasn't clear to them that everything would be easy if no one pooped on anyone else; then I got older and started realising were all made up with different brain chemistry, and the role environment played in creating said turdbaggery.
Crazy what our God given brains do and are capable of creating in the person with the relevant stimuli... One a painter, one a soldier, one a mother, one a preacher, the other a ninja assassin who should work out before putting on the lycra. Crazy existence this brain of ours. Who knew?!?
Just rememeber, whatever your brain, whatever your stimuli, God calls you to be Sons and Daughters of God. How cool is that. If only there was a category for that... intriguing.

I have now accidentally on purpose gone through an entirely too long list of foul words in my head and added "baggery" to them.

About the rarity, you are right. It is supposed to be an extremely rare type. People with this type usually become psychiatrists, therapists, etc. Are you one?
It was an idea for a time.. nearly went the neuro psych path...It seemed so ridiculous that the brain has so much influence over a persons actions, up to and including influencing their relationship with God in a negative way. Purely outrageous. Fallen biology has much to answer for, and for a time I was sure I was going to be the one of those to make it answer.
But I fell in love with theology and helping others learn about it. Now I can't imagine not helping under grads with their theology research, or teaching the bible to the little ones. God bless their little cotton socks

I love personality theory - I'm an INFP. However, it's important to keep in mind that tests have a large margin of error, and frequently give varied results. So it's a good idea to take several tests. Then read the descriptions of each type and see if you've found a "fit". Here's an example ... I can test INFJ on some tests, but in reading many personality descriptions, I have no doubt that I'm INFP. Here's a link to a test I found pretty accurate ...

I agree; I think that's the best way to make sure you've got a good fit. Reading the descriptions of each type is exactly how I found out that I really was an INFJ and it wasn't just the test mislabeling me. The INFJ type description was creepily accurate, and nothing else was even close.

This is a very good topic and I enjoyed reading the threads. I am an MBTI certified practitioner, haven used the assessment both personally and in helping others. The issues raised here are important because often times people misunderstand the use of the tool.
The best illustration I have used to explain the tool to my audience is the difference between the left and the right hand.
You have both, but you PREFER, by nature, to use one than the other, and the use of the PREFERRED hand feels more natural.
For example, if you are right handed, you use that hand all the time, but you equally use your left hand depending on the situation. If put in a position where you use your left hand all the time, it feels more awkward; However, if you continue to use the left hand repeatedly you start to get better at it. However, you will always fall back to the MORE COMFORTABLE hand all things being equal.
In my experience, the tool is very underutilized because it is far beyond completing the assessment and knowing your four type letter word. It is more detailed in helping you with personal and professional development.

In the corporate setting, we use it for leadership development and building high performance teams - helping them to manage/avoid conflicts and change, and drive efficiency in communication and decision making.
The tool does not label you. It only shows you where your preferences are and areas where you want to strike a balance. Because a strength pulled to its highest limits might become a weakness.
