This place is like a ghost town. Most of the time.

What happened? Did I miss the rapture? Have y'all run oft and dun got hitched? Did I survive some nuclear war I didn't know about?

What are your theories on where everyone's gone?

Note: Yes, I get the irony of creating a thread to ask people who aren't here where they went. It's supposed to be silly.
...anybody out there? I feel like Will Smith in I Am Legend...
:p

Lot's of people have moved on. It's summertime. Many people are dating or working on relationships. Most topics are rehashed and or boring. Then there's the "resurrection zombie" threads. Only halfway interesting threads as of late have been yer's and the news of Tintin & Arlene making us all swoon with sugary goodness of love.

I too have felt the loss of stimulating discussions. There seem to be a lot of similar thread topics, many of which I just have nothing to contribute toward. Not that this usually stops me :p but I've been pretty swamped this week.

Hi Cris! I've been AWOL for two reasons:

1. I've been working odd hours. Tuesday I worked 4 AM 'til noon and then had to be back in at 11 PM that night... I was there until almost 10 AM, and have to turn around and be back again at 4 AM the next few days. I envy those people who can fall asleep at the drop of a hat. I'm exhausted but at a point where I'm so wound up I can't sleep either--I'm sure you know how that goes, keeping up with your babies. :) So I'm basically living in perpetual Zombie Apocalypse Mode right now with no end in sight. This would, however, explain my strange craving for brains... right? ;)

2. The last 10 threads or so that I wrote would take an hour each to write... and then disappear within half an hour. I figured I must not be generating much that people could relate to or wanted to talk about so I gave up. No sense spending that much time on something that would disappear so quickly and not bring about any good discussions, which is the entire reason I come to the forums in the first place.

And I rather like that you've been crowned as the Reigning Queen of Threads... :)

Now I'll have more time to munch on brains. Nom, nom, nom.

Actually i think it's the chat room. Ever since people started using chat they don't feel as much need to post. And they are busy in chat, rather than forums.

Does the chatroom have a block feature so people can have a more private talk without unwanted opinions? Just wondering.

I've been sleeping a lot when at home, and working harder at work. And going on IMGUR and giggling at some of the pictures. Then I feel that after awhile the same thread topics appear and it seems like my response wouldn't have changed- CC has heard it all before

Kim- ugh, the zombie thing...yeah, not fun. But brains are neat, and tasty, so...win! And if it makes you feel any better, my threads disappear quick too. I get a handful of responses (which I absolutely appreciate, by the way!) and then the thread goes into the graveyard. Which is ok. But I can see how it would be a downer after spending so much time on it. I happen to like your threads, though sometimes I don't know how to respond.

Ugly- AAAHHHHH! Down with chat!!! *sigh* I'd probably jump ship and be in chat more often than here too if I had a computer and internet :p

What this has to do with the thread traffic on the singles forum i'll never know...
Either he was responding to someone without quoting her, or he was sent to spy on those of us who remain and spread the Good News...

There is supposedly a browser that has Flash capabilities, for phones/pads. It will support chat, but not audio. Or so i hear. Though you'd still be trying to keep up on a phone.

If you're bored you can always just PM me. I mostly sit in chat and don't talk anyways haha.

Call me crazy, but the last few weeks I've spent far more time in the Singles Forum than I ever have before. I didn't notice the drop-off. Cristen, your threads definitely keep the old cogs a'turning, and that's a beautiful thing!
