A looong time ago when I was new here, I just busted up in here like I owned the place. And others have done the same since. It might take a while for people to really warm up to a new person...but unless you're actively causing problems, these crazy folk are pretty darn welcoming.

I agree with what you say about the world, FireWire. The good news is that we get to bring a little bit of light and warmth to the dark and cold places. When we kindle God's fires for others, we begin to feel the warmth ourselves. What is in us is greater than that which is around us, thanks to Jesus and the Spirit He has put within. I know you can be a great encourager. You have encouraged me, and I've seen you encourage others. Godspeed, brother!

That's encouraged me. I can be encouraging when I want to be. Jesus has overcome the world so we should always be looking onto Jesus and running the race. Nobody runs a race to lose and certainly not this one.

However, I can come across as harsh and even legalistic to some. I don't intend it to be. I believe people can be encouraged even while being hardline on some issues. I'm no preacher though nor a bible scholar.

You can't erase the post, but you can absolutely start fresh. I say stupid things here all the time, and most people don't hold it against me. So why not give it a shot, try again to explain what you mean, what you're going through? People Want to help, you just have to show us how we can.
