Oh they could find a way...........it all comes down to Kennedy........which way he decides to vote........and he has certainly supported the liberal wing of SCOTUS in the past............but, we can pray that he will go with the little sisters......

Because corporations are made up of individuals...who also happen to have religious beliefs.

I think it's important to remember that not all employers are going to be Christians.
 
yep but will people cheering this be as happy when a muslim owned business no longer has to pay for antibiotics simply because the gel-capsules are still made for gelatin which comes from pork in some cases? Nope, then the same people cheering this will start crying how america is falling to sharia law even though the two cases are identical. Its all a bunch of hypocrisy.

Wow - I usually agree with Nautilus, but not this time. In your scenario I will be cheering with the muslim but it won't happen. Hobby Lobby is only refusing to PAY for drugs that abort. They still offer all the contraceptives their employees can possibly use, they just didn't want to PAY for abortive drugs. This doesn't mean their employees can't get their abortive drugs and take whatever they want to take, it just means Hobby Lobby doesn't pay for it.

It's ONE MORE REASON why one size does NOT fit all and why government should stay out of the things that require CHOICE (which is practically everything). The government wrote what they thought was a health plan that fit EVERYONE's NEED according to them and have now spent the last 5 years negating, changing, indemnifying, protecting, and exempting groups and individuals ever since.
 
Also, Kennedy mentioned that all the government need do is step in as a third party and pay for any form of contraceptive that the business will not provide. In this way, the individual employee is happy as is the company because both religious and secular views have been upheld. Kennedy said that the entire point of this law was to ensure healthcare, but no law should be at the cost of the constitution. In the end, both sides can walk away happy.

Yes they refused to pay for possibly abortive contraceptives as far as obamacare is concerned because it violates their religious beliefs. So what is to stop a Jehovah Witness boss to refuse to pay for blood transfusions on his employees healthcare plans? Or a scientologist boss from refusing to pay for psychiatric medicine? In both examples it would be forcing someone to pay for medical costs that go against their religious beliefs. All this case did was open the door for businesses to cut corners on healthcare spending.

Not too mention its more than just abortive drugs. Im pretty sure they are refusing to supply birth control like IUD's as well. Which is just a simple contraceptive.

In the end religion shouldn't even be a factor in determining health benefits.
 
not really a valid point unless you rely on God for all your medicinal needs and then health insurance would be inconsequential to you anyways. But since we are dealing with modern day issues and not people coming back from the dead, maybe a bit of common sense is needed. I'm talking doctors and the such, you're mentioning miracles.
 
The miracle would be in finding a healthcare plan that fits everybody. It isnt going to happen. Look- if the goal was to mandate that everybody had health insurance i would have listening. But they also mandated what that insurance would be and i think its the thing that will be its eventual ruin.

What "health care" are you talking about? Do you mean the right to have somebody else pay for you to have sex with no consequences? When the heck did having sex become health care? Unless there is some physical, medical problem with reproductive organs insurance companies shouldn't have to provide squat for your fornication!

Hobby Lobby and Conestoga Wood were only appealing having to pay for surgical abortions and 4 drugs that terminate pregnancy after conception not traditional contraception.

Not every major corporation is driven solely by the almighty dollar. If the owners of Hobby Lobby made their business decisions solely based on profit/loss reports they would be open on Sunday like every other major arts and crafts store. The family that owns Hobby Lobby also owns Mardel Christian book stores and are devout Christians. Every store they own is closed on Sunday so their employees can attend church (if they so choose) and spend time with family even though it means they loose millions of dollars in sales annually to their competitors who are open on Sunday.
 
contraception isn't even health care...it doesn't treat any disease or improve the state of anyone's health...nobody dies from not getting a 'morning after pill'

contraception is entirely an optional thing like plastic surgery or caffeine pills...
