Very sadly a good friend of mine who owns a bakery business has found himself at the centre of a legal storm. He was approached by a customer to bake a cake with the characters Bert & Ernie from Sesame Street on it and the words, "support Gay Marriage". On the grounds that this was contrary to his Christian beliefs, he contacted the customer and said that they would not be able to fulfil the order, offering however to create a different cake for them. After several weeks he received a letter from the equality commission who are now taking legal action against him for discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation. How low has this country fallen morally when Gods law is no longer held in any regard by the law makers of the land and furthermore what about the rights and beliefs of the Christian.....how have we arrived at the situation that it seems like the only person who's rights DONT COUNT is the Christian.

Bert and Ernie got married. Cookie Monster gave the bride away. The reception was held in Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. For the first dance they played "I love trash...".
 
so how come no one is ever outraged at this bullying.??? because that is what the gay agenda is: bullying.

They should bake the cake of Ernie and Bert...In SODOM and Gomorrah with flames licking up the side of the cake!....make a statement!

as opposed to their discriminating against him for his sexual orientation/beliefs? Funny how these folks do not extend the same rights to those who oppose their view as they do to themselves...........but, what's new........sigh........

not only is the homosexual agenda aggressive and destructive, they are very very thin skinned......believe my way or go to jail.

what would they do if christianity was pushed like that in this country.

It seems to me the Supreme Court ruling on the Hobby Lobby case should pretty much get this issue dismissed.

Sorry I'm confused about the point to your post Nautilus. Are you suggesting that someone is "forcing" a Christian agenda on the Gay lobby?
you cannot force Christianity on anyone but you can uphold Christian values which everyone knows are best for society as a whole. No one prevented this man buying a cake from another business who found no moral issue with the request, as actually happened, but why should a Christian be persecuted for not agreeing with an immoral set of beliefs?

I don't see this........but it's a common response in defense of their agenda........so it is to be expected?

Is there a particular example of Christians forcing their agenda/Faith on people you have in mind?

Doubtufl if the country flags of the posters are accurate at all. Mainly because the cupreme court has no effect in great britain.

Christians are against sin that hurts people. That is called love.

As a christian I would not force my beliefs upon you, you can be a homosexual and let that decision affect YOUR life, but it should not affect mine.

The same thing these homosexuals are crying against is exactly what they are doing to us. The only oppression going on here is against christians.

1 Corinthians 13 says there is no love in sin and when its hate to care enough about people to say their actions are destructive then...

we get all kinds of hurtful influences upon society.

The legality of gay marriage has already been used, successfully in a polygamy case and there is an incest case pending, who may use gay marriage in their defense as well.

Not only should christians stand up, they must.

The legislation of Christian beliefs into laws has been shown for 100's of years to have been good for society. There is nothing in Christian morality which would be in any way harmful to society unlike these attempts to change well established and mutually beneficial laws into marginalised agendas which will bring down the underlying stability of society

regarding #1.........may be a good point.......

regarding #2........well, what is being "legislated" is WHO A PERSON CAN LEGALLY MARRY........and not agreeing that Churches/Pastors MUST marry those they do not believe are Biblically qualified for such a Wedding.

Nothing in the legislation about "forbidding one person to LOVE another."

given that.............well..........
