Yes, God created man in His Image................BUT that image WAS NOT a physical/earthy Image...........God is a SPIRIT.......the image He created in us is our eternal spirit...............

Our physical/earthy bodies are for this world..........not a representation of His Image.............

Scripture says Jesus took upon Himself the "form of man." Were our physical/earthy bodies His Image, there would have been no need for Jesus to do this..............
On this point we disagree, my friend. Our bodies were created in the image of God but not in the likeness...

Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man (1)in our image, (2)after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Notice that this is a two part creation? Man was created in God's image, but not of the same material...

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

But not after His likeness, that occurs at the resurrection...

1Co 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

1Co 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

Future tense.

1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

Again, future tense. Changed to what?

1Jn 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

At the resurrection, when He shall appear (the second coming), we are to be made in His likeness. We will be like Him.

God was right. Satan half-lied - something he is an expert in. Eve did not die immediately. And their eyes were opened.
Gen 3:7 "Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loin coverings."

God is also eternal, holy, a spirit, and has many other attributes humans do not share.

Psalm 61:4 "I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings".
Is God a great big chicken?

Gen 2:25 disagrees with you.

Chapter and verse, please. There is no record of this light clothing or it being lost.

I'm with you to this point. The text does not say what kind of animal was used, just "skins". And I don't believe it anywhere explicitly links the skins with Jesus' sacrifice. But it is a pretty clear foreshadowing and the symbolism is there.

And now you've gone outside Scripture and made things up.
Exodus 34:29-30 KJV
(29) And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.
(30) And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.
Exodus 34:35 KJV
(35) And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.

When Moses was with God his face shone with light. He had to put a veil over his face to hide the light. How much more Adam & Eve in perfection who talked with God face to face? They wore no clothes of skins, they shone with light. Here are some texts to think about.

Matthew 13:43 KJV
(43) Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Daniel 12:3 KJV
(3) And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Since God's people in heaven will shine with light, then that is restoring what was lost in Eden.

They had no covering at all -- scripture says they were naked and not ashamed.

The shame came from the fact that they had sinned - not because they were naked.

Their eyes were opened because they ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Here's the problem folks, even if you have mastered your lusts (?), that doesn't mean that everyone else has - even if they say that they have. So, if you cause someone else to sin, then it is your sin as well. I do see the angle y'all are taking, but I believe it is probably one of ignorance or denial. I am not making this comment to offend (although it may), but to get you to reconsider (though you probably won't).

I am not advocating nudism.

I am only saying that - what caused 'unashamed' nakedness to become 'shameful' nakedness ( in the Garden of Eden ) - was not the nakedness itself. The "naked condition" of Adam and Eve did not change ( and still only two people present - one man and one woman ) -- the "sin condition" is what changed - and is what brought the shame.

"All things should be done decently and in order."

"We should not cause our brother / sister to stumble."

I believe in these ideas.

Here is my problem with your statement: You are applying a narrow, culturally defined scenario.
Yes, if a man or woman were to walk naked through a mall in Ohio, they would cause quite a stir and possibly/probably incite others to lust (or at least giggle and point).
However, tribal people brought up in a climate where clothing is not needed for warmth, who are raised in an environment with lots of nudity would find your assertion that nudity causes lust to be ridiculous.

Once we establish that the lust-causing of nudity is very culturally dependent, we can start to talk about contexts in which nudity may or may not be appropriate for Christians. But we can do away with the blanket notion that nudity is immodest and sinful.

I'm a blood bought spirit filled child of the Living God. I am also a naturist now I am in predicament what is the Bible's stance on naturism?
It's hard for me to believe any naturist isn't committing the sin of lust (adultery).

Why would a person enjoy their nakedness when god killed an animal to cover our father and mothers nakedness and they even tried to use fig leaves. They were ashamed of it. This how far people have gotten from God, they are no longer ashamed of their nakedness nor their sin.

The "clothing of light" speculation is utterly unbiblical and nowhere supported by Scripture. The Bible clearly says in Genesis 2:25 "And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed".
The clothing of light is very biblical. The reason why Adam and Eve weren't ashamed for being naked is because they weren't aware of it. The snake promised them a lot, but in the end, all they got was the awareness of being naked, the awareness of what they had and lost because of their disobedience.

We are called to cloth ourselves in light:

Galatians 3,27: for all of you who were baptized in Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

Not so my friend. We are not created with an immortal soul. We can be made immortal...

1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

But for right now...

1Ti 6:15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
1Ti 6:16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

As for us...

Eze 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Eze 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

When God created our first parents, He told them something very important...

Gen 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

They knew this...

Gen 3:2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
Gen 3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

But the whispering enchanter (nachash) said to her...

Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

And whom has man believed ever since?

Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Most Christians have never studied (and I mean really studied) what the Bible says about nudism. That's not a condemnation upon my brothers and sisters, but simply fact.

I noticed in your posts here that you mention the covering of leaves Adam & Eve were given after they sinned and that is an important part of the study on nudity. When A&E fell from grace they brought upon mankind the nature of sin and that is why mankind wears clothes, to hide from our Creator the way A&E tried to do. Mind you, our Father did not tell them to wear covering; that was something they came up with on their own. he even said to them, "Who told you you were naked?", letting them know He was displeased that they were covering themselves in His sight.

There is a teaching that A&E had a "covering of light", but this is nowhere found in Scripture and is a false teaching a certain sect holds to. It has no basis in truth and only clouds the true issue, which is whether we as Believers are under the law or under grace. That question and that question only has bearing upon whether we wear clothes or not in His sight. This can be a very long teaching, so I will shorten it as best I can, but remember that there is a lot more than what I will write in here today.

It would be good if you were to read carefully all of Romans chapters 3-8. Look carefully at how Paul explains the differece between trying to be saved through works and the actual salvation through the sacrifice of Christ alone. He explains it perfectly for anyone to understand that if we are saved by works, then we are under the law and bound to follow every tiny aspect of the law, only we can't, because the law was given to those under the law (meaning Jews, who are bound to practice the law constantly throughout the year, every year, only even they don't practice it perfectly), but to those of us who are saved through Christ we are no longer under the law. Our Savior fulfilled the entirety of the law by sacrificing Himself on the cross, literally, "He who knew no sin, became sin for us," and "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death".

We see in these chapters that the law was given to those who are dying, those who follow the law of death, but we who are free from death in Christ are also free from the law and if we are free from the law we no longer have reason to cover ourselves in the sight of our Creator, for He who made us in the beginning looked upon what He had made and said, "It is good." What our father has called good, let no man call evil or sin.

Please study all of this in the context of what I have said here. I hope you come in and read this soon. If not, perhaps this message was intended for someone else to read so that others may understand and believe in the freedom by which our Savior bled and died upon the cross the most horrible death ever devised.

I pray you read this and turn form following under the law, for "whom the Son has set free is free indeed."

Your Brother in Salvation,
Jake, the Natural Creationist

The shame that A&E felt in the garden came not simply from sin, but from the fact thaqt they had fallen from grace. They no longer had that perfect communion with their Father and Creator as they had enjoyed since the first day each came into this world a perfectly new creation. Imagine yourself in a relationship with your earthly father and how much you and he love one another. Now imagine that he told you something very specific not to do and yet at some point you did that very thing and after you felt the guilt from having disobeyed him and you knew inside yourself that once he found out about what you had done that you thought he would be angry with you, so you devise a way to hide from him. This example goes nowhere near the shame A&E felt, because they not only felt guilt from having sinned, but they had lost that inner peace and solitude that came from having the utmost perfect union with their Father, the same type of union Yahshua felt and had, which was why when he hung upon the cross and became the embodiment of sin for us He cried out, "Elohim, Elohim, why? You have forsaken me!" He felt that utmost rejection the same as A&E did and even more so that day and that is why they tried to cover themselves in order to hide from His sight.

Sin is like that, but we who have repented and accepted Yahshua's salvation are no longer under that law of sin and so we no longer need to cover ourselves in order to hide from His sight.

I find it interesting that you have chosen the name of Laodicea to us in here. May I ask why? I only ask because of what our Savior said to the Laodicean church in chapter 3:14 and on of Revelation.

I am way too immature for this type of conversation.
I realize that we have freedom in Christ,
but for the sake of others conscience, please wear clothes.

It is a sin to cause others to judge you, or cause them temptation intentionally.
