And I already got some good advice from few members here that said that God doesn't choose the spouse and that there are single Christian goths and metalheads in this world, and in the first or second page I said "thanks, my hope is restored again". And some people ruined this thread by calling me a troll and laughing at me and telling me scary hoaxes that God will choose my spouse by Himself and that He has a certain guy planned for me who is not my type even though I know God will give me the type of guy I want.
And in the Calvary Chapel, a guy told me that his wife is the one he asked for. He asked God to send that kind of woman for him. And a friend told me that one guy asked God to give him a Christian Asian woman and that guy got the Christian Asian woman.

It's important to remember that we don't know the issues that a lot of people who post here deal with.
Some of the comments here seem to be honest, real attempts at help. I'm all for that. I don't like band-aid fix type suggestions that might make a person feel good for a few minutes but ultimately do nothing for them (those fly around a lot, in Christian circles especially). I question that some may just be smart aleck attempts to amuse yourselves or others. I can't say for sure because I don't know the true intentions behind each post.
troubledgirl: I would just say to you that God is not here to serve us. We are here to serve Him. If we are too stubborn to let go of what WE want, He can never truly help us get to where we need to be. We have to keep in mind that He knows what is best for us. Sometimes what we want does line up with His will, but certainly not always. I pray that His will be done in your life. If His will doesn't line up with your desires, I pray you learn to submit to Him and accept what He has for you.

No. As you can see, there is a verse where it says that God can grant the heart's desires... And I will never marry anyone who is not my type even if he is sent by God. I will block that guy, and if that guy gets clingy to me and he stalks me everywhere and adds me again as a friend, I will sue him. I know what kind of guy is the best for me. A guy who acts like the Mad Hatter is NOT good for me because I get so angry from pranks and stupid jokes that I will rage and scream like I am in pain and cry. And how do you guys even know that God has someone planned to me? Are you some prophets or what? I bet you know nothing. God will give me the type of guy I want and that's it. Case closed.
You may indeed end up with a guy who is your 'type' if you allow God to search and find this man for you. The type of guy God may provide will be your 'type' despite your current myopic view of your perfect man. Please, be patient as this will take a period of time. Also, leave your eyes wide open or you will miss the true beauty of life.
