I called myself secular for several reasons but, in such enviroments where I have been, I felt uncomfortable (that´s why I hate salsa music, for example). If i wanted to be the one I was, i don´t deserve to be here and surely I wouldn´t dare to cope with Christian ones. One thing is being humorous, another being nasty and, the nasty I am, the more I regret.

troubledgirl, nobody is misreading your posts, OR blaming you, OR acting like they're better than you. You need to realize that there are alot of people on this site who have alot more knowledge and experience with different things, than you do. I would urge you to listen to them and take their advice. Try to focus more on watching stuff other than tv and cartoons and movies. Watch something inspiring and spiritual that will uplift you and make you want to do nothing other than praise and honor God every minute of your life!! Pray, read your bible, whatever, but try to get out of the habit of watching nonsense cartoons and inappropriate videos that you already know are not gratifying to God. :)

If any person here were better, probably:

1) He / she would ignore you. Do you want to be ignored? Surely not! Otherwise, you would not post. We were your age :)
2) He /she would be in heavens, rather than being here, listening to an honest "troubled" child.

Each time you asked, you received ANSWERS and diferent responses. Filter them and take them to grow from old ones. :eek:

The "humor" you are describing is sinful, and not appropriate for believers to be enjoying or engaging in...........

That is the REAL issue..........ducks - whatever - aside.............

IT IS NEVER OK WITH GOD............

ok, so let's say that for a moment, YOU are donald duck. From that perspective, would'nt some of the things Uncle Dolan says hurt you or bother you? THATS what I mean. It is hurtful--end of story. A child of God should not participate in hurtful things that can affect other people.

What the heck? But why does it matter when there's no such creature as Donald Duck? This probably means that we cannot even make fun of a screwdriver. Does this also mean that Bob the Builder is sinful because it makes fun of big cars?

Well, it may not be sinful for Bob the Builder to make fun of big cars but I do find the screwdriver in his hands a bit disconcerting.

Have you ever considered that maybe some of the stuff Uncle Dolan says is taken by the viewers of his show, and they say that hurtful stuff to their friends. Dont you think that gullible young children, who dont see anything wrong in whats being said, would have no reason to think twice before repeating what Dolan has to say??
Would you say hurtful things to your friends? Of course not. Kids think nothing of mimicking what they see on a cartoon show. YOU however, are not a child. You know the difference between right and wrong. You know what's hurtful and what is'nt.

I understand that Dolan is actually very cruel humour, but it only makes me laugh because it's really stupid. And YTP videos are not always inappropriate... Some of them are just humorous video mixings that they edit in the videos with something funny. The Text-to-Speech humour videos like the Barney Bunch are just some crazy little boys' groups' own inside humour and those videos are pretty stupid too but the funny noises they do with the Text-to-Speech voices make me laugh, those noises which are made by typing things like "hahahahahahahahaha oooooooooooooooooooooo rererererererere soisoisoisoi" and then clicking "say it out loud" and it says that stuff out loud. The Simpsons contain a lot of funny humour including appropriate humour too, but I hate the blasphemous humour. Video remixes are fun because they edit into a very humorous thing... And a lot of pictures are funny, like the Grumpy Cat, and there are a lot of funny videos, but the inappropriate ones make me laugh because it's like strong or stupid. I refuse to be a Medieval feminist princess who will be like "Eeeeeeewwwwwww that isn't funnnyyyyy you freeeaaakkk eeeweeweweweweeeewww".

troubledgirl, good I'm glad that you finally understand that Uncle Dolan is very cruel humor indeed. But laying that aside, if you know its cruel, why do you still watch it? There are alot of funny videos out there which use humor in a positive manner. Try watching some of those, instead of silly videos like you watch now. But once again, I will ask the question, do you think Jesus would watch ANY of these videos? Do you think he approves of you watching them? Would he want to sit with you and watch them, knowing how ridiculously pointless and hurtful they can be?

I'm sure there must be some christian humor videos out there on Youtube. Do a search for them. Watch something more pleasing to God. Do what HE wants you to do. All the posters on here can do is give you knowledgeable advice, and hope you follow it. You MUST follow what GOD wants. Turn off the tv, be silent and listen for his voice. Clear your mind of the stupidity of these cartoons, and you will hear him speaking to you. :)

No. You cannot tell me what to watch. I refuse to just watch Duck Dynasty or Forrest Grump. I can watch what I want. Duck Dynasty and Forrest Grump are very boring and plotless. I want some action and adventure too and some what-happened-and-what-will-they-do-and-how-it-ends plots too.

I'm NOT telling you what to watch. I am only suggesting that there are more appropriate humor videos out there. That's all. I'm sure there's alot more on tv than just Forrest Gump and Duck Dynasty, lol. But there are far better videos than the silly ones such as Uncle Dolan, also. :)
