Eastern Orthodoxy is not Talmud Pharisaism (Mishnaism).

Any religious group that relies on man made tradition that nullifies Gods Word is Pharisaical.

Authoritarian hierarchical priestly system
Vain repetitions
Magic/sorcery (kabbalah)
Priestly robes match pharisee garb almost identitically.
Traditions nullify Gods law.
Idolatry
Necromancy/consulting spirits.

I'll be back later Scott.
We do not rely on traditions of men. We rely on the Traditions of God as Christ established here on earth and the unwritten words of the Apostles by the Holy Spirit. Protestants actually rely on traditions of men that is why they are called 'LUTHERans" "CALVINists" "PRESBYTERians" (Following their individual pastor much like ROMAN catholic following ROME)

We are not 'eastern' Orthodox we are the True ORthodox Catholic Christian Church. Rome began calling us 'Eastern ORthodox' because they consider us to be the 'eastern' Church, but this is a misconception we are THE CHURCH East AND West. I myself am in the Western Rite.

This is a big issue. Everybody gets caught up in what they have been told, so they end up classifying any one who belongs to a denomination as the same.

They need to actually study the back ground of the denomination they are judging before making that leap.
I stand how you state, not all Catholic's are lost in the false teachings. Each denomination if you actually look into them have their bad side and good side. Some of their churches teach wrong, some teach right.
Some have self, hatred, and no compassion teachings in their ranks, which is not of our Lord Jesus Christ teachings.

The part I do disagree with is that no denomination can claim to be the true church, or the only true church of Christ.

The true church is the one made up of all followers of Christ no matter what denomination they belong to.

No I reject ecumenism. The Church holds the Truth unadulterated and unchanged. One Truth, One Church, One God.

The one church is not catholic though, check your bible catholic is not mentioned but Christianity is.

Christianity is the one true church, all believers in Jesus Christ that follow His teachings.

In English it is not mentioned no but since Truth is universal the Truth (i.e. the Church would therefore be universal as in having all the Truth this is what Catholic means do not confuse it with the papist Roman 'catholics')

It is salvation by works and not by faith unfortunately. Alongside other unscriptural things.
That judgment is often made of anyone who says they love the law, even though scripture often mentions loving the law. Loving the law has nothing to do with salvation by works.

Psa_119:163 I hate and abhor lying: but thy law do I love.
Psa_119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

The Easterns I Have Observed Here Act Like Pharisees

This is the impression I have received here:

There argument has been like their denomination is "The Church" and superior to the Bible. For them it appears that the Bible means only what they say it means. They have exalted tradition over the Word of God like the Pharisees. They seem to think they can just pontificate on doctrine instead of proving from the Bible.

"Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? For God said, . . . . But ye say, . . . . And ye have made void the word of God because of your tradition. Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,

This people honoreth me with their lips;
But their heart is far from me."

Perhaps I should not judge them all this way, but that is what I have observed on these forums.
