Radio is useless. I've never really understood the point. I had tapes, CDs, mp3's. Why put on something that's going to randomize what i hear, play the same songs over and over and over and play things i won't like? Pfft.

for me it's the commercials on radio stations that i can't bear. i was pretty young when i figured out that what i liked wasn't on any radio station; somewhere in the mid 80's. if i'm in control of a radio dial, it's always public radio or preaching on a non-profit christian broadcast station - something without advertising. music on those gospel stations seems to be squarely aimed at someone 50 years older than me though.
(getting back on topic) commercial radio - forgive the vernacular - always seems to be pimping someone. they get paid to do it.
