Hey, so I have been working for only 3 months, and I know that is not long at all, but I am seriously considering quitting, but I hate that. So I love my co workers, they are amazing people. But my managers, not so much. My managers are verbally abusive, and treat everyone more like slaves then anything. My head manager actually called one of my coworkers stupid, twice in front of costumers. And me personally I have been treated horrible by my assistant manager because I am a Christian. Anyways, long story short, it has gotten to the point of harming my physical health. I had to be rushed to the hospital Sunday night. Anyways, my father along with my doctor and several of my friends are trying to get me to quit. And I actually want to honestly. But I do not want people to think bad of me doing so. And also I know how quiting after 3 months will look on a resume! But it is just getting to be to much for me. What should I do?

It seems you,ve asked everyone but the One who matters.....does God want you to quit.....if you have prayed
on this and quitting gives you peace...then do it...but you are asking so I guess not...
I had a similar situation happen.....when I asked God for His help....the girl was transfered
within a couple of weeks.....and I was made mgr......don,t think this treatment has to be taken....im quite sure the upper
management would love to know about this....but to give up something so quickly is finacially foolish...
if you do quit find another job first.....maybe you were put in this job for a reason ...someone God wants you
to know....that is usually why the devil messes with us...we are close to a revelation.....or a blessing....
don't be misstreated...journal all events happening with this management team...go to district...
Don,t go down without a fight...maybe you are suppose to be helping these people who dont have
the option to quit...you are a warrior...a woman of God is strong and brave........even in fear
we prevail...trust God let Him lead you through it...before you enter the building pray and thank Him
for being at work when you arrive....things will change...hey you might even "be"the next mgr.. because
of your caring for the companies interest....
May God grant you peace.......jo

How did this job/work get to your physical health? What is that you do?

Put in a complaint with human resources when you observe or experience abusive behavior. If the environment doesn't improve, and especially if it was affecting my health, id secure another job ASAP so I could quit.

As far as your resume, you can leave the job off, but when you're asked job history on an actual application, then definitely include your current role.

well the stress got to me in turn making me throw up, faint and I have been having panic attacks pretty much everyday since starting the job. I work at Goodwill. One of the only places that would hire me due to no prier work experience, and no GED/high school diploma.

Several people have reported her. No one will do anything about her. But from what I have heard all the other Good wills treat their employees pretty much the same way.

Have you prayed for the people who are giving you a hard time, if not started doing so?

You can a bit of a study Here on seeking and receiving guidance...

Do also consider that God uses secular work to perfect His people so as to form Christ's character in them! Col 3v23,24, James 1v2-4,12

Wow...

I would only stay there if I didn't have other choice and really needed money (and would be searching for another job meanwhile) or if I had someone in care. But since your own father said that you should quit, I think you should listen to him. He is closest to you and know you better than any of us here.

Who cares what other people think? Why should that even factor in? That's a ridiculous reason to stay at a job.

And as far as your resume, not a huge deal. Unless you're in a very professional field where that's not common. But generally a company looking to hire you, if they like your resume except that one part, then they will call you in for an interview and you can explain it to them then, when they ask.

Should you quit? That's up to you. But don't stay there because of poor excuses. You have to prioritize. What is more important, what others may think? A possible blemish on your resume that can easily be explained? Or your physical and mental health?

If you are a Christian,
then open the Book of James, chapter 1, read what it says about wisdom. Ask & trust the Lord for wisdom.

I prayed for you.

This is quite amazing I have printed out a page on James Chapter 1 just a little over an hour ago. Just that single chapter that you suggested and I did read it and it is very helpful.

just a side note -

anxiety, you're still young enough to where bouncing between jobs isn't uncommon -- i REALLY wouldn't stress at all about that. you dont have to include it on a resume, and you really shouldn't unless there are some skills you acquired there that you can highlight.
you'll find that as you get older or if you move on in your career, you typically won't even be able to fit all of your jobs, skills, achievements, projects on one page, so you have to be selective.
you only need to disclose ALL your jobs on an application (usually for past 5 or 10 years or so), or if you're questioned in an interview, then of course (in which case you should veer the conversation towards the skills, areas of growth, and learning experiences you've attained from the job without speaking negatively of the position or management). A resume isnt just employment history, and shouldn't be treated that way, it's more of a snapshot of how the skills you've derived fit into whatever role you're pursuing.

back on the real topic -
girl, no job is worth constant panic attacks and barfing and stress. Even though it may feel that way, you are NOT stuck. i'm also offering up my prayers for you. :)

Thank you all for your advice! :) I actually did end up quitting this morning, mainly because my manager blasted me this morning for having gone to the hospital rather then going in for work on Sunday. And what I mean by blasting me, is cussing me out, and calling me, stupid, no use, and blah blah.

Ok....thank goodness you quit. No one deserves to be treated and spoken to like that, regardless of where you work. Onwards and upwards Anxiety94

I've been employed 19 years and most of my employment were short-lived. Yes, didn't look good in resume. But resume wouldn't tell everything about a person. In an interview, I told my interviewer not to dwell much in my resume. Given a chance, my performance will tell them more my skills and personality. And that's how I found out why my stayed at work were short-terms, because I was meant to be an employer. Now, I have my own enterprise. Nothing is wasted. Romans 8:28.

Thanks for sharing your concern. Again, this is just an advice, and my opinion. Get more advices from who knows you deeply and be more transparent so you could get the best help you need. You're still the best person to know the answer.

Thanks and let's pray for one another. :)

¡Ay, Dios! Ahora no aguanto la risa...

Please, CC, where can I get the form to apply a job you have an empty seat to work? :)

Now I´m sure if you have read the book "Rich dad, Poor dad" of Richard T. Kiyosaki (link here: *** ) and Cash Flow Quadrant ( *** ) we are going to laugh a bit.

I wish I knew what job God would bring into your life soon... :p

If you have any way of contacting your bosses superior you should consider giving them a call and reporting the treatment and explaining the reasons for your quitting. Letting people off the hook who behave this way only allows it to continue.
