There are some very nice people on this site.

However, this site is also visited by a multitude of "creepers" of all varieties, from all over the world.

I just want to remind people to be discreet about how much personal information they post on public boards (e.g. it's alright to say you work in retail, but not so good to say you're a clerk at the Hobby Lobby in downtown Des Moines.)

Alright, that's all I have to say.
: )

Oh I thought saying like for example 'I am a cashier' or 'I work with people with disabilities' 'I am an dental assistant' would be discreet enough

edit: just read your edit Maxwell. On same page.

Persnickety,

I think your topic suggestion, and your intentions, were perfectly fine.

There are just things people aren't aware of, because people in general don't pay any attention to their own security.

People often make lots of public comments and posts, where they never really say more than little tidbits about themselves. However, for many people, if you were to read read ALL OF THEIR POSTS, you could probably figure out where they live, what day of the week they go grocery shopping, and even what to feed their dog so it will let you past it and into the backdoor, lol.

The topic you posted is perfectly fine.
I'm just reminding people this is a public board, and that they should be thoughtful about what they post publicly, as a general rule.

I'm assuming you raise them for their meat, then...

Look out, Wings Night!!!

All-You-Can-Eat-Gerbil Night is gonna put that right out of commission.

Maybe I need to apply for career as a Gerbil Skinner.

Stop stalking me!

Or at least bring me presents.

Googles Hobby Lobby thinking it's a fictional name for a downtown hotel, comes up with a craft store. *imagination shattered*

I'll tell you what's REALLY disturbing...

The places that just throw the little guys into the fryer as is--skin, fur, hairballs, and all. :p

Now THAT would be an interesting thing to do for a living.

"Gerbil Vat Skimmer."

At least I'll finally get some use of of that fine mesh sieve...

Today I learnt what gerbils are.

They are not vegetables.
