IMHO:
The Tea Party simply must start running candidates in both parties primaries (Democrat & Republicrat).

Rationale:

I think that Romney (the least desirable Republican candidate for pretzel in the last election) was nominated by cross-voting liberals, who were Democrats. Why vote in the Demo primary, since Obama was bound to be the Demo candidate? But they could do damage to conservatives by voting in the Republican primary & ensuring that instead of a conservative, they got nominated a man who had been in favor of allowing baby-murder and who invented what became Obamacare!

As it now is, liberals don't have to vote in Democrat primaries at all, because it is certain that the Democrats will nominate a liberal anyway. They can cross-vote in Republican primaries & thwart conservatives that way.

Thus the Tea Party needs to put up candidates in both primaries to force liberals to vote Democrat lest they lose in the Democrat party. The Tea Party might run minority conservatives, for example.

Having said this, I don't really have any faith in solving America's degeneration at the ballot box. Neither are many conservatives concerned about Christian issues (oh, yes, BTW, I am pro-life (hush hush), but it's the economy, stupid!). Neither Reagan nor the 2 Bushes did anything to stop baby-murder (but oh yes, they were in name against abortion). With all the opportunities they had, they did not change the SCOTUS for pro-baby-murder. I have no illusion that the Tea Party is Christian
. And I do not confuse American conservatism with Christianity at all.

You really don't buy into the left/right political paradigm do you? Political parties are a farce, it's an illusion they both work for the same boss. One group caters to conservatives while the other group caters to the liberals... all the while the same intended agenda moves forward.

Well Elizabethan One,

there is this error of binary thinking. Many things are better understood on a scale. You might delineate how much sameness there is. Do you really think that absolutely identical is correct. And I doubt that anyone's intended agenda is perfectly realized. But I think you are claiming that there is some super conspiracy guiding matters. I think there is an unseen warfare in the air or universe. Dan 10:

"a thing was revealed . . . , even a great warfare: . . .

I am come for thy words’ sake.
13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days; but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me: and I remained there with the kings of Persia. . . .

20 Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I am come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I go forth, lo, the prince of Greece shall come. 21 But I will tell thee that which is inscribed in the writing of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me against these, but Michael your prince.

Could it be that when the Greeks were warring vs the Persians, there was a corresponding war in the heavens between supernatural powers?

But whatever took place among higher powers, the ballot box of many persons voting surely had some influence on who got nominated & elected.

Heh you know Rush Limbaugh encouraged his misled followers to do the cross-vote tactic in 2008 to defeat Lady Hillary and nominate Barack Obama in hopes that Obama, being so new at that time, would be defeated by McCain.

Guess that sort of backfired didn't it?

But meh, I am of the opinion you get the government you deserve.

I am a graduate of the school of Advanced Conservative Studies myself. Perhaps this country does deserve the government that we have but this is due to the majority of misguided low information voters who are easily swayed like sheep to be slaughtered. It reflects decaying morals and principals, lacks sense of purpose and its reliance of the providence of God. This country is in decline and is seriously in denial.
