My definition of a good husband is one who is obedient to the word of God. Not just love the lord but actually applies Gods law to his everyday life.

Loves the Lord and it shows, loves his wife and children and it shows, is a spiritual leader, is responsible, reliable, supportive, recognizes and meets the needs of his wife, good listener, not arrogant, good sense of humor.. Did I leave anything out?

A man who wakes up in the morning with a smile on his face, Joy in his heart, and loves his family with all his mind, body, and soul, and his God even more. This was my wife's reply when I asked her this morning. I think that it is a two way street.

who's gonna always meet that criteria? ;)

my dad used to say marriage is NOT a 50/50 proposition.
it's a 100/0 proposition, and if both parties go into it planning to give all, and get nothing...
voilá! happy marriage.

of course, we're humans, so giving grace to our spouses is vital.

A good husband can be hard to find. Especially when we read these quotes:

"Adam and Eve had an ideal marriage. He didn't have to hear about all the men she could have married, and she didn't have to hear about the way his mother cooked."

"Man is incomplete until he's married. Then he's finished."

A woman was telling her friend, "It is I who made my husband a millionaire." "And what was he before you married him?" asked the friend. The woman replied "A billionaire."

A couple were being interviewed on their Golden Wedding Anniversary. "In all that time -- did you ever consider divorce?" they were asked. "Oh, no, not divorce," one said, "Murder sometimes, but never divorce."

"Marriage is grand and divorce is about 10 grand."
