No. Your not actually reading the passage and thinking about it. If Gomer was a wife of prostitution then the passage is also saying that the children prostitutes, too. Read the passage again.

God's Word is nothing to be laughed at. This is a serious matter and an issue of morality. It is an issue of questioning the good character of our God.

2 Chronicles 36:16
"But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy."

when i read this:

A word of Jehovah that hath been unto Hosea, son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam son of Joash, king of Israel:
The commencement of Jehovah's speaking by Hosea. And Jehovah saith unto Hosea, `Go, take to thee a woman of whoredoms, and children of whoredoms, for utterly go a-whoring doth the land from after Jehovah.'
(Hosea 1:1-2)

i understand it to mean that the Lord told Hosea to take a whore for a wife, and to also take her existing children into His household.

when i read this:

I have been inquired of by those who asked not,
I have been found by those who sought Me not, I have said,
'Behold Me, behold Me,' Unto a nation not calling in My name.
(Isaiah 65:1)

i understand that God has also taken out of us whoring Gentiles a people unto Himself.
& i confess my sin before Him, that i too am a man of unclean lips, hands and feet, who did not know how to seek God, but ran from Him, but He called to me, and put me in the hollow of His hand, against all logic, all reason, all justice -- for His mercy and His love are very great, greater than i can comprehend!!!

It says a children of whoredom. Are the children prostitutes, too? You can't have one with out the other. If you believe she was a prostitute, then you have to believe the children were, as well (Based on the language of the text).

Standard patronising response by a cult member. I detest this form of moral and holier than thou superiority, which is always then backed up with the get out clause that the person asking or whatever has not asked right or is not ready spiritually, how convenient.

This is how it rolls folks, run away from people who say the following things, they are not good to be around or learn from.

"I am right, you should pray and ask God becuase you do not think I am right, but I know I am and GOd will show you that I am right and show you things that you do not know of. However after praying, if you still not convinced that means you are not spiritually ready to accept the truth and God still needs you to drink milk and not eat solids yet, God will show you when you are ready."

what do you call children born to a whore from an extra-marital concupiscence?

personally, i think "children of whoredom" is an adequate description.

    We could percieve the woman to be a prostitute but also she could just be an adulterer, the same word can be used for 3 meanings, so what if the meaning for the children adulterer. On a darker side, the children could also be used as prostitutes, sex with children is nothing new and always taboo, but we only see today how rife it is in our world, nothing changes.

Jesus said, remove your own planks first, then you will see clearly, instead of doing what your doing, and being quick to judge other's.
