It's not about the sharpness of the weapon. It's more about the application of strength. It's impossible to be strong enough (without divine intervention) to take off a head with a weapon like a sword, especially with resisting prey.

Plus it's illegal. I just trained in self defence and plan my monster hunts very carefully. That's the safest and surest way to fight the horrid creatures of nightmare that lurk in the deepening shadows of our world.

.......... or that is how I would do it if evil like that really existed.
