just for reference (again) here is a clear command from scripture that's quite relevant:

Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink,
or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.

(Colossians 2:16)

so am thinking perhaps it is not right for one of us to say the other is 'in Babylon' because he observes or doesn't observe a day.

God said those who follow that system is in Babylon, I didn't.

Now as far as your interpretation of Colossians goes, it says don't judge them in how they honor those things. You have to be honoring them in order for me to judge you in how you're honoring them. I can't judge you in how your honoring the seventh day when your not honoring the seventh day.

it's not "my interpretation" -- no scripture is interpreted privately.

have a look at v. 17 --
These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

what things are a shadow? festivals. feast days. clean and unclean foods. the Sabbath.

You have to be honoring them in order for me to judge you in how you're honoring them. I can't judge you in how your honoring the seventh day when your not honoring the seventh day.

it's not yours to judge me or mine to judge you.
you ought to know that without me referencing a scripture to support it - all judgement is Christ's. that's milk.

v. 16 is explicit:
let no man judge you with regards to clean and unclean food or drink, and let no man judge you with regard to observing a festival or a sabbath.

both post & Scuba fall under the category of man. neither post nor Scuba are the judge of another's servant, but the Lord.

can you demonstrate that by the scripture?

It takes time to study and learn the prophesies of God, you can't just point to a Scripture. But if you do want to learn take some time to watch this.

I don't know why you bring up Ellen G White. But anyway, here is the verse you are looking for.

Revelation 13:1-3 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast.

By the way, I made the video, not EGW.

because she's irrelevant, but i might be able to find an hour-long video that has 20 seconds of material in it that's relevant.

well, i certainly don't see anything here that indicates believers who meet on any particular day of the week for congregational fellowship, worship and teaching are 'in Babylon'

In order to come to the truth today you have to separate yourself from mainline teachings and allow God to lead you no matter where He takes you. In doing this you will need to untie and allow God to retie many of the things you've once believed. Let's start with how we came to believe that the early church gathered on the first day. First of all know that this contradicts the whole Bible, God's plan and distorts creation week itself.

God has given us His timeline of evens in Leviticus but man has turned away from using God's map, as a result, we are following a system that rose up and changed God's times and Law. This was prophesied by God to happen so don't be shocked that it did. Jesus had to die on Passover because He was the fulfillment of the Law. If He didn't follow God's timeline then He is not the Messiah. The day after Passover was the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. This day was a Sabbath, but not just an ordinary Sabbath, it was a high Sabbath because it only came once a year. The next day was a regular work day then came the seventh day Sabbath. After the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread they were instructed to count seven Sabbaths and then add a day which makes 50. During the week of Jesus' crucifixion they were counting the Sabbaths. So it wasn't the first day of the week, it was the first Sabbath. The first Sabbath of the seven that they needed to count. Listen to how they would count Sabbaths.

Luke 6:1 Now it happened on the second Sabbath after the first that He went through the grain fields.

Notice Luke counting the Sabbaths. He says whatever happened happened on the second Sabbath after the first Sabbath. He is counting the Sabbaths. This is very important to grasp because this is where the Beast kingdom has done some tweaking to change God's seventh day Sabbath.

Mark 16:2 Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.

The words, "on the first day of the week" are not accurate. The words, "day of the week" should not be there. What should be there is Sabbath. The verses should read like this, "On the first Sabbath" not "On the first day of the week".

Remember, there were two Sabbaths on the week of Jesus' crucifixion with a normal work day in between. Jesus died on Passover, which was Wednesday then came the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, this was a high Sabbath. Mary bought the spices after the high Sabbath, which was (Thursday) that first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, she prepared the spices all day (Friday) and then she rested on the seventh day Sabbath (Saturday).

Take some time a check this out. You will have to do a little leg work but if you're hungry you will. Be blessed and grow...
The title does not match the body of this OP. having said that This need to be straighten..

We all sure the Jesus died on Passover... and the next day is the fifteen which is the annual Sabbath...(No work)

Joh 19:31 The Jews therefore, because it was(PASSOVER) the preparation , that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

What is clear; Passover then High Sabbath...
Mar 16:1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.
Mar 16:2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
What is unclear is your day of preparing the spices then waited another day to rest then anoint him...

Jews would not wait another day to anoint a decomposing body, remember Lazarus
Joh 11:39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

Where they could have bought a ready sweet spices for anointing...

What also clear was it was AFTER THE SABBATH,,,Whether it be the High Sabbath or weekly Sabbath..IT WAS AFTER THE SABBATH...

AND because They cannot work or anoint on Sabbath...

Mar 16:3 And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?
Does that sound working? to me it is...rolling the stone....

That's where you need to study. I laid it all out for you in the video but since you have some kind of hang up with EGW you will never learn what the verse I posted means. By the way, the information in my video existed before EGW and the Sabbath wasn't restored to God's people by EGW.

My Friend, If you do not attend your services on Saturday, because I show you the scriptures that say that you are wrong, and you believe them not, you are a sinner, and I am a sinner for making you stumble. If I do not attend services on Sunday, because you show me scriptures that say I am wrong, and I know that you are wrong, I am a sinner, and you are a sinner for making me stumble. You see, we are saved by the grace of God, through Faith (we may perceive that Faith differently) in our Lord Jesus Christ. Remember Paul had to address the legalistic Jews, and the Gentiles, who had been saved. He told them that the traditions of the Jews were a sin only if you believed that you had to observe them, and didn't.

Please, by all means, if you feel that you must observe the Sabbath on Saturday, do so. I will continue to celebrate my salvation on Sunday.

I figure you're not going to listen to what I say because I've been saying it over and over again so I thought a laugh world be better. By the way, my Pastor does teach me to be a fisher.

It's just a theory, but I believe poor Scuba may only have a Torah and a C Language Bible, the latter where an obedience to creating many threads derives from. As to the pastor, it's pretty certain, if he ever had one, that pastor's been long ago hauled off in a straight jacket.

So, what is it you think? Fifty more threads, please.

What we do with the Pastor's teaching is not the Pastor's fault.

Mark 1:17 Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”
