LOLOLOL. 6 months ago, I saw Billy Graham's grandson preach at an Evangelical money hungry church in San Diego, and his eyes were mysteriously sleepy and his eyelids were dropping (during the entire sermon). I found this very weird, and felt a spirit of generational brotherhood over him and it's as though he was trying to channel his grandfather. It was very blande and weird, and it seemed like a business or speaking obligation for him. WEIRD!!!
And they will claim peace when there is no pace. After watching this, I see Billy Graham is like Oprah, embracing all things through his entire ministry. He does not have strong words for anyone not following the Gospel. He is LUKEWARM.

He is LUKEWARM.
Yet, he is an international icon in the Christendom. Probably converted and saved more souls to Christianity than all of the other pastors in America combined. Christianity is still alive & well in America, thanks to Rev. Billy Graham.

If the "Christianity" that is alive and "well" inside of America is because of Billy Graham then no thanks.
Billy Graham is one of the greatest men in modern times. Sure from all accounts he has gone astray in recent years, but that should not rule out what he has done. In years gone by he was solid and gave a good message, I took one of his courses in the early 80s and it set me on a good course.
God alone is able to judge Billy Graham. I do know that he knows the truth and I do believe that he compromised his standards in the misguided basis of reaching more souls. I will say that Billy Graham has always had clean books on his financials. Franklin has had something of an imperfect example in his dad. That does not excuse him and frankly some of the things he does cause me to cringe.
I fear that most of the mass evangelism of the past fifty years has done little except to give sinners a false sense of security. Modern evangelism has immunized the sinner from seeing him or herself as vile and disgusting in the eyes of God. There is little to no sense of urgency to turn from sin and cleave to Christ.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to see days again where sinners dove onto the mourners bench slobbering and crying because they were convicted about their sin and were crying out to God to save them? When is the last time you saw somebody who was afraid to drive home because if they were scared that if they died in a car accident they would bust hell wide open?
Just opining. Perhaps this is why I have little interest in the Graham ministries. So much opportunity squandered. Heartbreaking really.

From what I have read, he has always had Roman Catholic connections from very early in his ministry. That being said, there are plenty of teachers out there that do make grave mistakes and are partially heretic in their message that folks can learn somewhat well from (depending on what you take from their message).
Joyce Meyer is one. Joel Osteen is another. Judah Smith another. Mark Driscoll another.
However, in my opinion, I don't think it's possibly to support Billy Graham with your full heart without supporting what he supports, and that's the Roman Catholic church.

I just meant ecumenical. I never said the guy was Catholic. Just that he threw his lot in with the RCC. I don't know much about the guy but I know that's wrong. That's all I'm saying. I'm not saying the dude is going to hell.
It really is only an observation of what can be seen.
Is it wise to have a crusade with the intent to see people saved only to send them back into churches that do not have doctrinal positions that are biblically correct. I mean doctrinal positions that question the authority of the bible and the efficacy of the blood of Christ?
Only God can judge. I'm just left with questions that cannot be answered.
