So are you the zombie (thread) queen or what? I've lost count of how many thread you have disintered lately.
Check the gender again.

GLR didn't bump this.

great another grave digger
While it's bumped though, I'm just going to go on record as saying I really miss SG1 and Atlantis.

Yes they were good shows, ended too soon. SGA should have went on for at least another 5 years.
Killing it in favor of Universe was a mistake IMO. Universe wasn't nearly light hearted enough, it was really just Battlestar Galactica version 2.0.

Then again, most of what's on Syfy now is dark.

I was thinking of someone else anyway. GLR is not the grave digger, I was thinking of Becky.

I would say, though, that a lot of the guys out there who may be living with their parents into their late 20's or [insert lazy male stereotype here] carry around some level of shame and discontentment over where they are, and what they really need is other men in their life to guide and push them to be better.
For the record I'm one of those "Lazy" men in their early 30's who still lives with his mother. I have work and yet still live with my parent because work has become so scarce or so short term due to layoff's that I simply can't afford to live on my own. In addition to that my mother can't afford to live on her own either so its a win win for both of us. We split the expenses and it makes living and existing possible for both of us. One should be very careful about throwing around the word "Lazy". Luckily I'm not one to easily get offended.

SGU imo should have never of been on tv. I thought it was awful. canceling SGA was the worst mistake and cost them big.

Apparently, this has to be restated. This was not about ALL MEN, but MEN WHO ARE NOT ACTING RESPONSIBLE. And for those who are trying to turn this around on women, keep in mind, there are usually more threads that degrade women, then threads that degrade men. And in no way was this thread designed to degrade men. If you feel that it is, then either reread the post, or ignore this thread, so that this thread does not get turned into a argument. Or better yet, maybe a mod can close this thread so as to kill it.

Here's a joke to lighten you all up. :D

-------

After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Target. Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunate, my wife is like most women - she loves to browse. Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter from the local Target store.

Dear Mrs. Samuel,

Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against your husband, Mr. Samuel, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras.

1.June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people's carts when they weren't looking.

2.July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.

3.July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom.

4.July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, 'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away'. This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money.

5.August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on layaway.

6.August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.

7.August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged.

8.August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?' EMTs were called.

9.September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.

10.September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.

11.October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the 'Mission Impossible' theme.

12.October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his 'Madonna look' by using different sizes of funnels.

13.October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!'

14.October 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!'

And last, but certainly not least:

15.October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.' One of the clerks passed out.

I got this joke as an email, but what I got was a list of suggestions on how to entertain yourself while you are waiting at Wal-Mart. Seems someone turned it into a story. :)

So what does that mean when the men are the more responsible parent?
They are the more responsible parent. That's all. Not all men are irresponsible. Just some. And that's the same for the women. No one is arguing that.
