*All that talk about making wine, I actually was going to make it but then saw a picture of the mold, and if I drank it, I might of be in heaven, by now, sooo it smells like life, and to some life stinks, but to me life is fun, I enjoy and love everyday, got a secret supply of wine, in my prayer closet. Even works with the empty bottle, just pray your troubles away. sorry it smells for you. Get some air freshener. lol

God can also execute justice by attacking a person's health (Such as stopping their heart or putting them in the hospital), and or by allowing an accident to befall them (Such as slipping or tripping on something or a car accident), and or by an animal or insect attack (that could be extremely harmful and or deadly). For a person can't escape God's judgment if it is set for a person. But God does not always judge all bad people right away, because He is allowing them space to repent. He is giving them a chance to live and get their hearts right with Him.
God's authorities set into power are God's ministers of justice. They are one way God uses to accomplishes His purposes for the greater good of His Kingdom (i.e. His followers).

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
But others here are saying "bad things" will happen to the believer (who loves God) so they better prepare themselves for bad situations like killing potential would be attackers. However, this runs contrary to what this above passage says, though. It says "ALL THINGS work together FOR GOOD to them that love God." The person who believes evil might befall them is not trusting God and His divine plan and they are not believing what this verse plainly says.

I of course quote the passage in love and with the hope that they might see where we are coming from. For once a person has truly come to know the Lord and His love, they will want to focus on Him and His good ways in everything they do and they will not have a desire to focus on their our own ways. For we can do all things thru Christ which strengthens us.

Don't know if you guys are up on the news but a guy with a gun just saved a woman's life who was about to be beheaded and a muslim nutcase. It was an act of love, and I know that woman is appreciative. The sad truth is, though, pacifists would have let her die in the most gruesome way possible. This is the ugly evil side of pacifism I wanted to showcase in this thread. The type of pacifism Jason advocates is akin to neighbor hatred.

Well almost 1,000 posts and I been quiet about this. But yinz finally called me out.
Have any of you been in a situation where you had to physically remove a guy who was trying to molest your sister? Guy was heavier and taller than me. Guy ended up being dragged out of her room down the steps out the door and off the 4ft side porch through the gravel driveway to his car. Needless to say never saw him again.
And yinz wonder why I take this serious. You go on judge me call me whatever you want and say I have no faith in God.

There is nothing to show case. Glory be to God for using the powers that be as his arm of justice. Reserve deputies, and police officers can and have been used by God as per Romans 13 and Isaiah 10 states. God uses nations and it's power of authority to bring justice and order. It does not mean that the powers that be are all saved.

We've already been over this. It's not wrong to restrain someone and or to push them out the way so as to run or place them outside so as to get help. It is wrong to want to use lethal force so as to kill an attacker being a New Testament believer. Well, that is if you believe Jesus' words about loving your enemies that is. But let's just ignore what Jesus said and walk by sight instead of by faith. For all things work together for good to them that love God. Do you believe Romans 8:28?

But it is not returning evil for evil when you protect others using force, and you are not to turn the other cheek when you see others persecuted. This is saying it is better to walk away when some one try's to start in with you, then to retaliate against them, because that retaliation would be out of anger.
No Peter was not living by the sword, and no he was not a physical soldier. Peter was a fisherman before he became a disciple and apostle of Jesus. The only soldier he then was called to be is a spiritual soldier.
Then it is funny how you mention the scripture of not living by bread alone, but every word of God. Because it is you that when mentioned words of God, you say don't apply. Moral teachings of His do apply, that was not talking about nutrients in bread.
