I've got an idea. How about all of us boycott this thread since the OP seems to have vanished from this thread, anyway? Also, yes, she appears to be a troll. All of us have our own views on feminism based on which region we are from, and from what we have experienced personally.

Christianfeminist, people here have stood up for you (not standing up for your post, but for you), and asked other people not to be mean. But, from what I see, you are personally attacking people through PMs and yes, commenting things like "eww this is so gross" on other people's threads (Godly woman, for instance). That is wrong. And, terribly sad.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and to what they believe in. Also, we all seem to be quite strong-minded people :p

What do you all say? Who's up for boycotting this thread?

Better yet, have one of the mods remove it altogether. :)

I'm not against feminism at all. There is a time and place for it and I will always support women's liberation. But, when it's against GOD and any other ideology for that matter. Then that's when I step in
I think the Op sees her view to be a good reflection of God and she doesn't necessarily mean it to be a negative description of God... I'm just trying to think outside the box here for a minute... maybe her perception of things differs from that of yours and mine.... Maybe she just needs a little guidance... although I have to admit that I don't agree with her PM lol

Hi, so I am brand new on this site. I am struggling with something at church. I belong to a First Baptist Church in Massachusetts. We recently (Jan.) hired a new Pastor. She was originally from New Orleans, and moved here from North Carolina. She is wonderful, I feel like she has brought the Glory of God back to our church! I love her! This past Sunday we were having a luncheon (Baptist prerequisite) and she asked the room (approx.40 people) if anyone would have a problem if when she referred to God, she used the word 'she' or 'her'. I am the only one that raised my hand! I am so not understanding how nobody else had an issue with this?? Thoughts anyone?

You may want to start a new thread on this, but I'll say I would never allow a pastor to refer to God as she or her. It is obvious from the Bible that God is our Father, not mother. I think you need to pray and seek God's will about finding a new church.

Welcome to christian Chat, btw. :)

Nevertheless, it is a blasphemous attack on our Savior. Very disrespectful.

Definitely not a house of worship for true Christians. Just another Satan disciple at work.

1 Corinthians 11: 9-11 neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. 10 It is for this reason that a woman ought to have authority over her own[c] head, because of the angels.11 Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. 12 For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.
