Several months ago, I got an interesting message from a girl, who told me JimJimmers had mentioned me.

I was definitely excited to find an Indian girl who seemed really kind and wonderful and we got in touch. Except soon after, I had to go abroad for an internship and things got hectic for both of us.

A few days ago, we happened to get back in touch and we were excited to talk about many things.

She really admired my posts and I, likewise found her really kind.

So we decided to have coffee...except we didn't.

She had jasmine pearl tea.

I had hot chocolate.

And over fries and sandwiches, we happened to spend the most amazing time ever! She's BEAUTIFUL. Both inside and out.

It so happened at the spur of the moment. We were texting, she was busy at work, and I was busy too.

She was going to be out of station next week and she suddenly said, hey, let's meet up. I felt bad for her. I was stinky, dirty and today happened to be the day I wore my old ratty t shirt and oldest pair of jeans.

I told her so, but she laughed about it and promised she was messed up too. (however I did change my shirt haha and she's gorgeous perfect pffft)

So she picked me up from the metro station, and the rest was an amazing evening, (Thank you God for her!)

And thank you JimJimmers for introducing gene77 and I :)

We both love, admire each other! We're so blessed that we are sisters in Christ.

I was so worried this thread would be attention seeking!!! But, I guess I am so excited to meet a Christian friend :).

She's the friend I always wanted!!!

I was literally jumping with excitement and I just want to thank God for giving me that opportunity to meet her.

Thank you Jesus!!

And thank you Gen!!! You're a wonderful girl and you blessed my evening. You are so gracious and beautiful.

In awe :)

Your sis,

Rachel

You know what... the awkward moment when you see the Singles Forums, and it's full of all these lovey-dovey threads, and right there among them is yours....

I just had a really gross feeling :|

*thread regret* haha

Rachel, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you!

My best friend left the city this morning with all her bags, to move back up north. As she was the one I always hung out with, every week, I felt really sad. But, now, God's heard the desires of my heart, and sent me a beautiful Christian friend. Guy friends, some how, are always a plenty. It's that close girl friend who you can talk to about anything, that is really what we women tend to cherish. You are wonderful, super hyper, and full of life! You make me feel 21 again! Haha!

Thank you, JimJimmers. =D We did click a picture for you.

kenthomas27, your post is perfect. =D Waiting for JimJimmers to see that. LOL!

Alright! This is awesome. I am happy to just sit on His shoulders and watch what He does when we are obedient.

I am glad my two South Asian sisters got to meet each other. I guess this confirms the old saying, "the sister of my sister is my sister." At least I think that's an old saying, my aunt used to say it all the time ever since she had that accident with the washing machine.

I am going to figure out how to make that Lego guy my avatar, I love it. :) and Rachel, you are both beautiful, no matter how worn-out your jeans are.

Roh Chris: I think your bear answered your question for you :D

KenThomas: I messaged Gene77 to tell her that I thought she and Rachel20 would hit it off together, nothing was misinterpreted :p

So I say it was a good day for love. There have been many threads about matchmaking, and of course we are happy for Tintin, Arlene, Tourist and JesusLoves, Bananapie and Akrick, Oncefallen and his bride. But there are many types of love. God's agape love for us, and the platonic love of two young ladies who share the awe of our Lord.

What a beautiful thread :)! JimJimmers is right; love is to be celebrated in all of its forms here, not just the romantic type :')!

please don't make it a habit to drink 4 cups or more of coffee a day it's linked to early death

I think maybe it was his attempt at humor, you know making a funny cause it made me laugh.

Perhaps I should switch to decaf and take plenty of aspirins to stave off caffeine withdrawal and to prevent early death as opposed to late death. Going to quit smoking too. I will chew nicotine gum. It does not blow bubbles very well, does not taste very good but I like it. The burning sensation on my tongue may be problematic but you reap what you sew, uh, so, uh sow. A side effect is that it causes me to talk funny. I have experience in such matters.

I hope you like flavored decaf coffees cause I got a bunch of it... You are doing such a good job with your efforts on the smokes. God will continue to help you break this habit and I will keep you too busy to bother with smoking I promise.

I will follow your 12 step program to quit smoking. In fact, I am looking forward to it.
