Hey Singles,

What kinds of videos/information do you like to surf for on the internet? One of the things I've come to appreciate most is that sites like YouTube especially are my window to places I will most likely never be able to see in person.

While I "never like to say never", my personal bucket lists are way too long and too expensive to ever accomplish in this life, but thanks to the miracle of such sites, in a way, I get to see and experience them anyway!

What are the last 5 things you've looked up on a video channel or in general, and why? What did you enjoy about them? What did you learn? Feel free to post links and clips as well.

I love sharing these kinds of discussions because it helps us all get to know each other better.

My last 5 videos have been:

1. A walk-through tour of the Disney Sea amusement park in Tokyo. It's forr the part of me that will forever be 5 years old and LOVES theme parks. Even from childhood I've always loved replications of the architecture, styles, and ways of life from different time periods and places in the world or even universe, and no one does it like Disney (or Universal Studios.) (If any of you have suggestions for other favorite theme parks, please feel free to mention them!)

2. I'm going to cheat here and list three different places: 1. The Winchester Mystery House in California that features things like stairways and doors leading to nowhere. I love looking at houses and while this one has a spooky history, I would still love to see it in person... but definitely wouldn't stay the night, even if it were an option. 2. Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, because castles are another personal obsession of mine. Like the Winchester House, it also has a bit of a mysterious history (anyone sensing a trend here?)but it looks utterly amazing. And finally, 3. Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin West home and architectural school in Arizona. Touring houses and residences is one of my favorite things to do when given the chance.

3. Instructional videos on the fastest ways to peel garlic, as it happens to be a culinary chore that I dread. (My favorite so far: throw cloves into a stainless steel bowl, turn another one upside down on top of the first bowl, shake until your insides feel it and voila!!! Automatic ab workout AND peeled garlic in 30 seconds!)

4. Demonstration of a friendship bracelet with an adorable bat pattern for Halloween. Flat, written instrucions mean nothing to me--I have to see them being worked in action. My first attempt was a bit clumsy, took over an hour to knot just one bat (it takes about 5 to make a full bracelet), and probably resembled a pot holder more than something wearable. But with some practice... I can now complete the pattern for each bat in about 30 minutes.

5. Always a prisoner to the child inside, my last viewing was of Animal (the Muppet) and his best pal, Bunny. After all, who doesn't love Animal? ("Wo-man! Wo-man!")

How about the rest of you?

Happy sharing. :)

THIS!! This video is better than any 5 videos combined! And I found it from a post here in another forum. It boggles the mind and for me it opens up a lot of questions regarding the universe and stuff. All you see here is some regular table salt that was sprinkled on and a metal plate that vibrates.

I'm not on youtube much any more. But I usually search for funny animal videos, how to stuff, and I looked up some diabetes stuff a long time ago.

Hmmm, the last several videos I watched on Youtube were sent by people in chat last night, and were too ridiculous for me to own up to viewing. :p

Video-wise pretty much a bunch of videos on that Banksy Grafitti artist that I became aware of from the News Section on here. Very interesting stuff I never knew existed before.

Other than that a time lapse of supposed "real" satellite photos showing the Aral Sea is drying up and about to disappear (which really makes one question satellite photos in general since if that is true the publishers of such photos have been faking satellite photos of that area for the past 13 years by showing the Aral Sea intact.)

Some news videos about the Hong Kong Protests.

I love seeing videos of factories and how stuff is made. I watched someone making a wig because I was curious about how it was done. I also saw a candy cane factory, but that wasn't one of the last five... it was still cool, though.

I watched Bane Cat.

The demonstration video of a desk lamp that had built-in sensors, and had been programmed to react to its environment.

The others were probably all music... I can remember Bus Stop, by The Hollies, and Melt with You, sung by Bowling for Soup. There might have been some others in between that I forgot about.

Eh, nothing special about the universe. It's basic acoustics...wavelength physics. Once you understand the nature of vibration and waves, it's actually quite sensical.

Okay.

1. The same video that Angie posted, thanks to CrimsonRoses in chat. On a scale from 1 to Even, I CAN'T.

2. Mental Floss: Lifehacks tested - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CuzW8oiS1A&list=UUpZ5qUqpW4hW4zdfuBxMSJA

3. Legal pocket carry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WT3gkXyxhuA

4. Korean LoL casters are THE BEST: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CEJxL4FqYk
("Triple killlll! Quadra killlllll! PENTAKILLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!")

5. LoL Worlds FNatic vs. OMG: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O345c46mFqY
(FNatic so close to pulling the biggest upset of this year's Worlds.)

Recent episodes of the Daily Show that take a while for us to access on the internet in Canada- since I don't have TV...

Last one was when Jon called out Fox News for their false patriotism, and the one anchor's sexist comments about woman US pilot, and the whole latte issue that was blown out of proportion. I was just sitting here, like YEAH!!! THANK YOU!! I think I had woken up my roommates XD

Shour--I looked up the Korean Caster's link out of curiosity--I'd never heard of it before and had no idea what I was in for.

The funny thing is that it's not like they're saying anything out of the ordinary, it's just that for some reason, it sounds HILARIOUS in Korean.

Makes me wonder what God was thinking when He created languages... "This one (French) is going to sound ultra-romantic and sweep people off their feet... But let's create THIS one (Korean) with perfect comedic timing... even if they're saying the most everyday things!" (You know, like, "FINISH HIIIIMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!")

1. The Guild (Doing a marathon, so technically it's 1-5, but I do watch others as well.)
2. Guys doing that song on the treadmill Video.
3. Patriot Nurse
4. Grav3yard Girl. (That girl is crazy, but funny. Makes me think of Rhett and Link. And despite her online name, she's not really all that zombie like.)
5. Random videos
