I ran into a squirrel while biking
But truly it wasn't my fault
I was biking too fast
And it jumped t'wards me at the last
Moment and I could not halt

Its head banged into my shin
And what a hard thud it did make
It must have been dazed and confused
For I looked back to conclude
It didn't move like an unused rake

But alas it finally showed life
And sprang off beyond the hedge
I too went my way
To continue my day
Keeping an eye on the sidewalk's edge

Today I spent more money, it's not funny. Renting a car for when fly far, I wish I still lived with my mummy.

O bad Poets, O bad Poets
Where art thou?
Pick up your pens, and write bad poems again
Or I will have a cow

But I don't want to hear "moos"
Just awful poems followed by "boos"

So revive your uninspired imaginations
And let loose poems that no one will like
I believe in you, to write poems no one wants you to
So we'll all be told to "take a hike"

I apologize for the seriousness of this poem in a lighthearted thread, but I came up with it some time ago:

"A poem...a rhyme...or maybe just a line...whatever, it's mine, so please give me some time.
There's just so much there and if you would dare not to stop and stare but maybe to care...
...or for a moment to share in where I'm lost in despair...and find me there. Maybe offer a prayer...

Cause I just need a moment of your time! ...I promise you I'll give you several of mine...

If sorrow is a dagger or a blade or knife, can it peirce my heart if I keep it inside?
...and would that wound be fatal? Could it cause me to die? Spilling out drops of blood like these tears from my eyes...

Can drinking these feelings cause me to be sick? ...because I'm beginning to think I just don't have the stomache for it.
...and how many times do you think a heart can break? I try to push together the peices, but what's left is not the same.

Im sick and I'm tired and I feel like a fake... Sometimes I wonder how I even remember my own name.
...or look myself in the mirror each and every day. What can you do? What could you say?

...and the worst part is that you don't know how you wound up this way...

...but God's why I live. He's my hope and stay. He's what gets me out of bed, and makes me feel okay.
...at least, inbetween, the moments like these... He pulls me out each time. God, help me again, please.

...and what joy has come to life or wondrous things unknown...
that God would take that knife from my heart, and put it in his own.

Speaking as a lynx...

There once was a man from the city
Who met what he thought was a kitty
He gave it a pat
And said, "Nice little cat!"
...They buried his clothes, out of pity

Before I found Jesus I liked to rhyme all the time,
I'd get so crazy with it, you could call it a crime,
But to be very honest, it never made me a dime ,
People would say I sucked and I'd just stay at home crying.
My favorite constellation would have to be Orion.
See I can keep this going without even trying.
double-oh-sevens occupation, I'd have to say was spying,
Do I have to spell out exactly what this rhyme's implying?
Life is just to short, man this time's a flying,
Hopefully some of you see it's better than watching paint drying.

Ahhhhh yes, bad poems rise again
I had no doubt
That you'd all come out
To spread literary pain

Let not the lack of awards
Or small accolades be a deterrent
You're only pay
For your weak poems today
Will be good-poem repellent

When I read the poems here
My brain plays them as rap
But the "c" in rap is silent
So that leaves us with... well... you know.

I'm a poet, and didn't know it, so these words I throw it, I mean I threw it,
there I go again, I blew it, folded the paper and flew it, made a beat,
turned it to music, then recorded not to lose it, put a horn behind it and blues it,
another bad poem to bad I can't use it...
