Tolstoy said in War and Peace that Napoleon was simply the result of what the bulk of the common people believed and thought. The Third Reich said that Hitler was the result of what the bulk of the common people believed and thought. It is important to spread thought from the Lord among the people you know.

Posted a thread to the Bible Discussion area. Not many of us here venture in there often if at all. Thought I was clear and concise in what I had to say. Wondering what some scribe or Pharisee might have to do to turn it into a debate thread. Hoping I covered all angles so that won't happen. We shall see.

Bwahahaha! Never underestimate the power of an argumentative person to find something to disagree with. The only way your thread will escape unscathed is if they are distracted by all the other threads to find something to disagree with in the BS forum.

Your thread will be assimilated.
Debate is futile.
Conciseness is... also futile.

Whatever you wrote in your thread I disagree with you!

Actually, Markum's thread is being discussed in a peaceful manner.

I will have to go and check this out. Maybe that is where it's happening. I am starting feeling the love now.

Yes. There are some really cool discussions that go on there from time to time. And some threads show that people CAN be civil, even in a disagreement. You just gotta have a thick skin, I guess.

Sometimes I like to start out the morning by having to fish cars out of the toilet. This is not the first time this has happened. If it happens again, I'm really tempted to just find out what happens to the plumbing if a toy car is flushed down it. Would it even flush? Would it just clog up and be unremovable?

If the temperature would hurry up and get above 20 degrees, I could send a kid or two outside. And then spend my morning following one of them around to make sure she's not eating sticks...leaves...mushrooms....poo...*sigh* Nevermind.

What's this business about the Bible forum? I must go check it out and-

I've just been attacked by a flying rabbit. Perhaps I should abandon all attempts to be an adult for today and locate a teddy bear to throw back.

I wonder how many threads would disappear off the front page of my "feed' if I had the ability to block entire threads. Maybe it's time for me to go offline for a bit, IDK.

At any rate, I may have asked someone out on a date tonight. 0_o

Don't worry, Bugs is still single.

Thread blocking would actually be really wonderful. I always start out on the main Singles page and read any thread with new posts in it, but it's a pain skipping over those I have no interest in. It bothers my OCD desire to check "every thread", too. :p

These days there are more I don't want to read than those I do. :( I miss discussion provoking questions, deep sharing of lives, and creative thinking.

(Would love more details on this date you mentioned Bugs!)

I also wrote a testimony for the baptism.

From the beginning, everyone around me knew that I had a rebellious streak. The story was that I came out of the womb with a curly-headed mess of hair and a hyperactive way of doing things. It was easy to see that I was an offspring of Adam and I followed after the same story line- I was a sinner.

At the age of seven my biological sister Rachel and I had begun going to a Christian school because she had been experiencing bullying by her classmates. I believe as of this day, that this was the beginning of what we would call a series of divine experiences that propelled me into understanding of Jesus, the story of his redemption for mankind and the Kingdom of God. Long story short, I had confessed Jesus as Lord, had an experience in speaking in tongues. And these experiences kept me believing in God but not understanding that I had to become an active participant in helping to fulfill his will in my life.

In high school, I entered into the world of peer pressure and begun drinking alcohol, smoking marijuana, and not fulfilling God's will in my life in any way. I had gotten to the point where I had been more motivated by other people's opinions of me and not knowing how toxic it was. I was also getting deceived by other people's philosophies as well and straying from the Lord's word. I began to look at life as alot of 'grey areas' and that there could be no divine truth, in contrast to what God has shown me in the previous years of my life. I was also compromising my convictions and becoming very cynical and I had gotten to the point where I was more happy communicating with people who saw negativity as the way of looking at the world, instead of how Jesus did.

Then there came the God-shaped void everyone came talking about. I had begun a way of fulfilling what my flesh wanted instead of my spirit and I sought after every direction but God.
Then I quit everything, everyone, and just sat in my room for a year or two and just started reading his word. It was the best decision of my life!

I was feeling an absolute tug from God, I wanted to quit my sins. Then he began showing me what the Gospel message really meant. What his dying on the cross, resurrection, and his grace meant. I became one under his grace and out of the law. I experienced the power of his resurrection and the kingdom of God!
God emptied me, and filled me.

Ezekiel 36:26-27
Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.27 "I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.

Thoughts:

- I have lived here for almost 3 months now. It seems like I've been here forever. It's been a good transition, but like was mentioned earlier, I don't think I've fully felt that loss yet. I feel it randomly. It's strange.

- That being said, I've lived here for almost 3 months and haven't gotten my car plates changed to this state. I've definitely procrastinated on that. I need several documents and an inspection and etc, etc. Why does it have to be so hard? If my vehicle was clearly registered in Illinois, why can't I just transfer my plates to Missouri? Why do they need all this stuff??

- I might be changing churches.

- I tried an app called Tinder. Not a huge fan. Probably going to be done with it. Not my thing.

- Work is going well but it's stressful now that I have my assignment. I have to literally sit back, take deep breaths, re-group inside my mind, and then go back at it. I'm in the real world now. I've never really had a job with deadlines and stuff before.

you have like 180 days to change over. they need all the stuff to make sure you ain't some illegal, or some bad person trying to skirt revoked license ect ect.

however some people never change they have family or something in one state and keep everything plated in said state but live in another.. (I see a lot of "old" people doing that here with the Florida plates.
