I thought you were already hooked when you posted a pic of Sheldon Cooper as your avatar. :p

Meanwhile in India...

A diamond merchant gifted 1,200 employees of his company festival gifts for achieving their targets. In a total budget of $ 8 million, he gave away 500 cars, 200 jewellery sets and 300 deposits to purchasing an apartment unit. Here is BBC's take on the news -

Lots of thoughts whirling around in my head today, but I know for sure it's definitely nice to be home again with no plans in the near future to travel again. The past two months I've been on the road for nearly 6 weeks of it.

In other news, wasn't able to snowboard this weekend, but this upcoming weekend looks promising.

20141020_073001.jpg Throughiut the day, I occasionally see or do things which reminds me of some of my wonderful CC friends. I may pass a painted wagon wheel on the road, or see a lady cop, or someone in boots... I often say an extra prayer for this person. It colkd even be something as mundane as my morning cup of coffee. I have two mugs which remind me of CC members. As you can see by the filled mug, I prayed an extra prayer for the cajun gal today.

Kent - tomorrow it's your day!!

Roh_Chris, I just like the pic :p I never really watched the show previously because of a lot of inappropriate humor I saw on the first episode alone.

Oh inappropriate humour. It's hard to find a popular comedy show without that. :(

F.R.I.E.N.D.S., Big Bang Theory, stand-up acts all have their fair share of vulgar jokes.

I'm starting the week out feeling restless. It's fall, so that makes sense for me. It happens every year. I'm not sure if I maybe have seasonal depression, or if I just feel this way because I know that our perfect weather can't possibly last much longer and soon everything will be buried under 3-6 feet of snow for the next six months and I feel like I need to get more done...

No idea.

I just know that this particular feeling has lead nowhere good in the past ten years, and I never recognized it for what it is...and, considering that I still don't know what it is, I'm worried.

On the plus side of it though, my husband is on board with trying to help me figure it out, which is a new thing for both of us. If we both know that I have this issue, we can both work at solving it.

You know, whatever it is.

Women what is with the almost knee high leather boots? You're not trudging through two feet of snow, and you're not Han Solo flying your ship through the Empire's blockade.

Today, I tramped out to one of the poorer sections of the city. It was a Catholic area.
They even had a poster of one of the politicians with a symbol of Mary and infant Jesus.

On the main road is one of the Mission Colleges of Theology and Philosophy, but next to it is a lane which goes near a slum.

There are tiny shops which sell snacks, cigarettes and other petty items. It's definitely better than a Muslim slum.
Nearby , there's a house where a poor man prays. Every Monday and Tuesday.

People come to his house with all sorts of sicknesses and problems. He has a tiny room and in which there's pictures of Jesus and a candle.

He doesn't speak. A cassette player playing Christian music in the local language and the whirring of the fan above is the only sound.

There's only one plastic chair and everyone else either squats on the ground or stands as he prays. None of the people are Christian but they're so desperate.

You see, they are Hindus. Caught up in all sorts of darkness and evil things, they suffer so much that they look to anything and anywhere for deliverance.

Deliverance, however comes from the Lord.

It's riveting for me, to stand by the window, lean and watch people praying, asking God to heal them. It's even more exhilarating to watch faith in action.

To watch desperation, utter brokenness and faith before God. I prayed along, that God would answer all the prayers of all those people there.

They were dirt poor.

Yet among them, I never felt more alive.

It was my privilege and honor to be there. To witness God working in their lives. I respect that. Blessed are the poor. And truly.

With all sorts of problems and issues that happens across the world, people can be so numb to the destitute.
We have people starving to death on one hand and others with just too much, lying wasted.

I hate that. I hate this world. I hate our stupid fascination with stupid trends and just utter stupidity. I hate it so much.

Nothing is as disgusting as the filth of wealth of the world.

It's hard to eat better when someone ridicules me for it and accuse me of wanting to eat like a rabbit. I'm trying to make myself feel better, and yes, even look better.

Just because you're not okay with it doesn't give you the right to attack me. You're not a permanent resident of this house and even if you were you're old enough to move out and eat however the heck you want. But oh that opens a whole other can of worms so I'll stop right there.

I'm. Tired. Of this crap.

I think I know which resident of your household that you speak of. Let me tell you my story.

I was 19, living at home with my Mom and one of my Older Brothers. A three bedroom ranch house with a really nice finished basement. No lack of space for the 3 of us, that's until Miss Cray Cray moved in.

Another one of my older brothers was in jail at the time. Not going to get into why but he was. While he was in this horrible place in residency and mind, he got engaged to this girl he hung out with. Well she needed a place to stay. Somehow my Brother managed to talk my Mom into letting her move in with us.

She was OK at first, then she started doing weird stuff. I was quietly singing Surfin USA to myself, all of a sudden out of nowhere she says to me, you called me a B word. So my response was , um, no I didn't. She started saying a bunch of crazy things and I said, I'm going to leave you and your voices alone now. Then she got drunk one time amd tried to kiss my other brother. Didn't go over well. Except my Mom was never home when these things happened. We didn't want to upset her, so we didn't tell her.

UNTIL I came home one day and my best friend/ neighbor called me and asked me why there was an ambulance at my house earlier? I was at work, no one home but the girlfriend. So I asked her kindly, are you OK? She gave me this deer in the headlights look and told me that she had really bad heart palpitations and freaked and called an ambulance. So I say, wow that's awful, I had no idea you had heart trouble. Uh well don't tell your Mom but my friend came over and we were snorting coke. I said, you did drugs in my Moms house, she already has a kid in jail, she doesn't need this crap too. I actually felt bad because she said, where will I go? I felt sorta bad but she was also incredibly rude, unless she wanted something and she was clearly using my family.

My Mom gave her time to find a new place to live, considering the circumstances pretty generous of my Mom. She did find a place to live and immediately dumped my Brother.

The happy ending is my Brother is in a much better place in his life and and so are the rest.

OK the moral I will continue to pray for you and this to shall pass. :)

I just spent an extra half hour on the clock, cleaning up someone else's mess. And another half hour in my future paycheck because I didn't get a break today. Yay for other people's mistakes!

The mess was because of a misunderstanding and I (politely) made sure the person who made the mess knows what he needs to know about how to avoid it in the future, and the scheduling conflict that led to me not getting a break is not in any way my fault, so my conscience is clean. And my check is a bit fatter.

My kids are home... I can breathe easier and will sleep better. I loathe when they are away.
