now you read vs 12.....[SUP]12 [/SUP]This happened when you were placed in the tomb with Christ through baptism. In baptism you were also brought back to life with Christ through faith in the power of God,[SUP][a][/SUP] who brought him back to life.

So was it the power of man in water? or the power of God?

It is the work of God. He did it, He completed it. It is not some pastor. It is the baptism of God.

it says the circumcision of Christ, which is without human hands.....nothing about ..... the baptism of Christ is by spirit, without human hands.
of spirit, not flesh.

what you are implying here is far worst than... "this happened when.."

having been buried with him in baptism,...so baptism is spoken of as a burial here....
No, It says HOW we are circumcised by the circumcision made without hands, It is called spiritual baptism. It is here we are washed.

Both circumcision (OT) and Baptism (NT) represent being cleansed. It is done without hands, it is not a physical circumcision or baptism. It is a spiritual!

Catholic is tray to elevating the church. equated the church with Christ. Water baptism is considered the entrance to heaven. So that people assume that the position of the church is very high and its leaders as high as christ.

In fact I hear pope has the right to pass laws on the forgiveness of sins in purgatory.

this is why I say you are ignorant....because you refuse to accept the word of God without changing it.....it says baptism you are forcing it to be spirit baptism...the scripture is saying this is what happens when we are baptised....when you were baptised you were buried with Christ in baptism into his death...you have to go there willingly as Christ went to his death willingly.....and as God raised him from the dead...he raises you in newness of life also.....

Matthew 3:11
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear. He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire.

You have not answered the questioned

Luke 20:4-6King James Version (KJV)

4The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?
5 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then believed ye him not?
6 But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was a prophet.

Can one be baptised and not received the Holy Spirit ?
Acts 19:1-721st Century King James Version (KJ21)
19 And it came to pass that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus; and finding certain disciples,
[SUP]2 [/SUP]he said unto them, “Have ye received the Holy Ghost, having believed?” And they said unto him, “We have not so much as heard whether there is any Holy Ghost.”
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And he said unto them, “Unto what then were ye baptized?” And they said, “Unto John’s baptism.”
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Then said Paul, “John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people that they should believe in Him who should come after him, that is, in Christ Jesus.”
[SUP]5 [/SUP]When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]And there were about twelve men in all.

Acts 10:44-48King James Version (KJV)

44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Was this Spirit Baptism first before water baptism ?

Yeah it says baptism.

It does not say baptise in water. Your adding the word water.

Dude, if you want to be saved by a work, feel free. Stop calling people who instead rely on the power of God ignorant. It makes you look foolish

[SUP]12 [/SUP]buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.

You can not read can you? Notice the key word ALSO!!

The BAPTISM, The being RAISED WITH HIM, were ALL done by the WORK OF GOD.

they both occured THROUGH FAITH. not through water!

God raised Christ from the dead. Can not the same God baptize me literally into his death? Does he need another man and water to perform this work? Oh ye of little faith. Why do you lack faith in God??

Baptism pre cross was done symbolically as the cross had not yet happened. It was God showing His rejection of the sacrifice of an animal. Baptism after the cross is merely ceremonial and has no pertinence to salvation. The same way one would Christine a child or dedicate a baby to the Lord. It is purely ceremonial.

Faith in the cross has taken it's place. But many refuse to see this and still rely own the works of the flesh rather than what God did. Isaiah 41:10 I will uphold you with the right hand of MY RIGHTEOUSNESS not mine own.

so when this happen....were you sitting, standing where is your evidence? or is it a personal thing? how did the burial take place?....seeing you were buried with him in baptism...how did it actually happen...did the spirit put you in a laying position? it seems to me you are imagining things...that is not faith but imagination...or was it this experience ...And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. [SUP]3 [/SUP]And there appeared unto them cloven tongues as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
that is spirit baptism if it was not like that ...I guess it was your imagination

God has the power to do as he pleases but the promise is in acts 2:38-39
