OK, I know there's probably a Metric Ton of threads that address this, but I'm looking for Today's answer.

First Kiss... how long to wait/how long did you wait?

Not your first kiss ever...I know some of you are waiting for your wedding day for that, and others (like myself) have a past that even includes being previously married.
Please answer from the perspective of: a) your IDEAL relationship, b) the best relationship you've been in and/or c) the perspective of your current relationship (if you are in one) If you are in a relationship and the other party is on CC, we will of course assume that b & c are the same. ;)

I've waited a month so far. :)

I don't think there is a time frame. Its something that should just happen. Though you don't want to go 6 months or anything, that seems to be pushing it. I say better to wait a little too long than rush it. Although certain factors may affect it. If this is someone you're still largely getting to know, then no reason to rush. If this is an old friend and you've started dating recently then it would seem more natural that it wouldn't be a long time.
But if you feel you need to give it a push because times going by, then at least make an effort to sent an environment to help it be more natural. Sitting in the car outside her parents house the first time you meet them is probably not a good setting haha.

Though there are times where i have just gone for it. When i was much younger i had been friends with a woman online for over a year. We had developed an interest and she eventually flew out to visit. After a few hours of her being there i decided to just go for it. I was sitting on the arm of the couch and we were getting ready to go out. As she walked by i just grabbed her and pulled her to me and kissed her. It was a pleasant surprise for her haha. It wasn't natural but it worked.

I think it really depends on the chemistry between the two of you. If you guys have hit it off well then it could be the first time you meet. Heh, there's no thumb-rule to it. It's down to what you both share and feel at that instant. :)

Perhaps you could get some hints from her body language. If she seems open to you and if she enjoys the intimacy, then you could go for it. If she is keeping a distance or if she crosses her arms frequently, you may want to wait a while.

A young mouse was going on his third date with his girlfriend, and his father advised him, "This night will determine whether you're a man or a mouse. If you kiss her you're a man. If you don't have the nerve, you're just a mouse."

The young mouse said, "I guess I just must be a rat. I kissed her on the last date."

Sorry, I know this doesn't help you, but I couldn't pass it up.

My situation is a bit unusual. 100 days passed between the time Arlene and I became official and when she touched down in Adelaide. We shared much about ourselves, our faith, our lives in general via the Internet, SMS and phone. In that time of extreme patience, we built up our spiritual and emotional foundations. Then Arlene arrived and we explored the city a little. Towards the end of that first day we shared our first kiss. It was a very special moment and I'm incredibly glad I shared my first kiss ever with my Arlene. She's very dear to me.

I believe that God matched the two of you. If you put God first in your life good things start happening for you. I am sure that your Arlene was well worth the wait.

Thanks yall! :) It's helped me to not Excessively over think this (I over think Everything, but because of this thread have been able to not over think to excess....yeah, I know...I'm thinking too much about thinking too much.) and was therefore able to put the thoughts out of my head and let my brain do the thinking for me.

I'm going to take it S L O W. (he he, see the word slowing down? I so silly.) But today *might* be the day.

Keep us posted! :) Hope things go well for you.

Hmmmm! I have heard than, postponing certain necessary things were a turn off to some ladies. No doubt they also stopped from breathing, sometimes.

I would like to see some WOMEN weigh in on this thread about a first kiss!

After many posts being read, then CC personal messages, real emails, snail mail (written letters via post office mail) and many phone calls, tourist had professed his love in one of those written letters through the mail at which point when I read that he had fallen in love it did literally make me gasp...saying How in the World???

I was resistant and didn't know what to do with it and would not say it in return....and yet I did (love him that is), but I was the hold out and did go full disclosure on him with every piece of dirt that I had ever done in an effort to chase him away..... It didn't work and I finally did say I love you back to him on CC.

When we met September 21 in Mt. Dora close to Apopka he knew the real me and I did not have to pretend to be someone else or play good as he knew all about me.

When the first kiss came I already loved him and it was wonderful after the visit was over and he left neither of us were the same and did not want to be without the other one. It might seem fast for those watching from the outside, but I waited for 35 years and wanted a man who loved God and put Him first and when finding such a man there was no question in my mind that he was the one for me and God was doing the matching anyway so how could I loose? Is it November 27th yet??? 25 days....but then who is counting????
