Well, I know most would disagree with this, but in the last few years I have heard that we should vote for the lesser of the two evils....I.E. Both parties have things within their ranks that are contrary....Me, I have chosen to exercise option three, and that is to not vote as evil men and seducers will wax worse and worse and the world will go the way it is written in the scriptures...be in the world, but not of the world......Just my choice I suppose...at the end of the day if you choose to vote...vote for the party that is the most conservative and who ever has views that are more in line with biblical principles........just my two cents worth....!
If you don't vote against the democrats you are voting for them.I'm not voting. I don't see the Republicans as being any better than the Democrats. Both parties are dragging our country into the sewer so I refuse to bother with either of them.
Then clearly you don't pay attention to who is in control. The democratic platform embraces abortion....let that soak in...it is part of their platform, their agenda. Republicans are against it..I would get on you for not voting, but people that are not informed of the issues, not educated about the solons controlling them, are too ignorant to vote.Out of those three I would say they are only actively against the third, and then only in certain cases.
Angela, I must say I am quite surprised to hear that from you. You aren't as informed of the bible as I thought. A believer must let his light shine to the world. Nowhere in the bible can you find support for sticking your head in the sand when politics come up. Christ is our king, all power and authority is given by God, and if those in control are reprobate we are to stand and be heard. Tell me, Angela, do you have any idea of how many times Christians and believers became enemies of the state because they wouldn't be silent? Don't you understand that Christ was murdered because He was seen, indeed, He was, a threat to those in power? Do you believe that if a believer is running against a satanist, for example, that you should be as quiet as a church house mouse? You need to think about this topic. Politicians that want to kill babies should have free rein from you?Seriously, this is about American politics, which has absolutely nothing to do with the Bible. Vote how you please, don't use the Bible Discussion Forum to push your politics!
PS. As much as Americans would like to believe otherwise, America is never mentioned in the Bible! So how you vote is not going to influence the return of Jesus, or reaching the world for Christ!
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
No need to vote for Jesus, He already is and always will be king.I vote for Jesus Christ because all the other kings will just one day fade away. My trust and allegiance is to Christ and not in a nation that will one day be put under Christ's feet or rulership. Right now. No national leaders (Who run a nation) worship Jesus Christ and try to implent a way of life under Him. Soooooo.... if they are not worshiping Christ, then who exactly are they worshiping? Think about it.
No need to vote for Jesus, He already is and always will be king.

Matthew 12:30 "He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad."

Whether the evil is a demon, lust in your own mind, or satan in your leaders mind, you are to stand against it. What exactly do you think you need all that armor in the 6th chapter of Ephesians for?
satan has taken this battle to a physical level. While we need not feel compelled to pick up arms, the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God, is a weapon of offense, not defense. You can't use it unless you open your mouth, now can you?
As a matter of clarification I am registered independent, which disqualifies me from voting in the primaries. I haven't as much voted for one guy as I have voted against another. The idea that your vote doesn't matter does not clear your conscience from voting.
Remember the scripture I just quoted - if you aren't for someone, you're against them. For every vote you refuse to give, another vote for abortion goes thru. At the very least, understand that your vote could cancel out someone else's vote for abortion.
The Anti-Christ will no doubt do many good things to get people to follow him. That doesn't mean I am going to vote for him, though. Unless they are a born again bible believing Christian who has a ministry (that is humble to serve Christ and not for material gain), then I would vote for them. But I have not heard of anyone like that ever even getting a chance of getting close to winning an election ever. Nor do I expect it to happen, either. Times are gonna get worse and they are not going to get better, my friend.
You aren't "in" the world...you have sequestered yourself in a cave where you don't have to acknowledge that you're part of it. What part of it are you? The part that allows evil to flourish by keeping silent? There is no scripture to support that kind of position. Quite the contrary, Christ said "occupy til I come". You think He wanted you to occupy yourself counting daises and marking days off with a piece of chalk on the side of a cave??????People are forgetting that EVERYONE your gonna vote for (Who has a chance of winning) is under the control of the wicked one. Satan controls this world (or the evil men that are in power of it's nations). You will do more good in preaching the gospel and teaching His Word than involving yourself in the world's affairs. We are in the world but we are not of the world.
Implied consent is consent which is not expressly granted by a person, but rather inferred from a person's actions and the facts and circumstances of a particular situation (or in some cases, by a person's silence or inaction).

But in the meantime? Are you voting with some of us peons?Jesus is not physically ruling this Earth on a throne like He will be doing within the Millennium. So I vote for Jesus Christ and His coming physical reign on Earth. I also vote in Him physically ruling over the Eternal New Earth, too.
Don't be embarrassed, just vote Republican for every office. It is never to late to learn.
I would love to see Gov.Huckabee run.I think he'd make a great president. We may never get an evangelical president to run,we wont get a perfect Christian but please think about your vote.If you don't vote you allow abortions to become more prevalent, you allow gay marriage to become the norm.God never wanted us to have a fatalistic attitude.People fought and died for our freedom.Look at countries that don't have those freedoms.Do we want to live that way? Or more importantly children and grandchildren. Its not que sera sera.Thats not what God wants.America has been a great beacon to the world. It has helped spread the gospel in so many ways.I think God gave us these freedoms and we should fight to keep them!

You very much need to familiarize yourself with the meaning of "implied consent".
I don't agree Jason, people who started this country, believed in Christ, and had goals to keep us with the freedom we have " hints, the constitution" , Men and women have actually lost limbs and life for this country and if we don't want to remain slaves to the system and watch the entire middle class get smashed to nothing, we will stand up and make the right choices, on who we think will do the best job to lead us out of this disaster.. On all frontsYou can vote for an evil leader if you like; But I vote for Jesus Christ.
