Presenting truth is what is important, agree entirely. I don't often engage in circular bantering, and, if so, more for amusement than anything else, usually in a thread that's, in the first place, laid waste. There are a few outright trolls here that are being fed, just poking Christians with a stick, stirring the pot for attention. I'm surprised they're essentially saying the same inflammatory things, over and over, isn't caught by many. Some of these threads go on for pages of repetitive, boring content you'd think should quickly die off, but the troll is here for attention, not content, and they won't stop, as long as they get that attention.
Oh gee, I had better recharge my troll sniffing batteries :)

To Bride, at times, you are also a riddle to me. although I also hate much of Scofield's teachings.
The idea of Preterism makes me sick. I believe in a literal rule of Jesus for 1,000 yrs. but no pre-tri rapture. I like your verse from Heb.12:22- at the end of your pg. Love to all Hoffco

Rabbi Louis Finklestein, long the head of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, one of the top 120 Jews belonging to their "Kehillas" ... I will be quoting him in revealing to everyone here exactly what modern Jewry is...

"The TALMUD derives it's authority from the position held by the ancient academies. The Babylonian acadamies and branch Palestinian acadamies of Pharisees were considered the rightful successors of the older Sanhedrin. Therefore any decision regarding the Jewish religion must be based on the TALMUD as the final authority. (The Jews, Their History, Culture and Religion vol 4 p 1332 Jewish Publication Society of America 1949)

Excerpt from the Jew Herman Wouk, best seller "The TALMUD, HEART'S BLOOD OF THE JEWISH FAITH" (caps in original) New York Herald-Tribune quote;

The TALMUD is to this day the circulating heart's blood of the Jewish religion. Whatever laws, customs or ceremonies we oberve, whether we are Orthodox, Conservative, Reform or merely spasmodic sentimentalists, we follow the TALMUD. It is our common law".

You seem to assume a whole lot and I wont even respond to such a rude post.
Sorry, but I need to make an other assumption, since you act as a smarty paints to me. I assume you are a Jew and your first language is not English. My wife makes the same smarty. rude reactions to my English, because Her first language is Philippine, not Eng.. SORRY, I was NOT being rude with you, I only want to know Where/ what mindset, you are coming from. And, I am sincere in wanting God's blessings on you . Be blessed in Jesus' name. In the forward to the first English Translation of the Babylonian TALMUD, praises Babylon. (While throughout the Old and New Testaments, it is a term of reproach.)
This was put in place by Chief Rabbi Hertz of Great Britain.

"The TALMUD is the product of Palestine, the land of the Bible, and of Mesopotamia, the cradle of civilization. The beginnings of Talmudic literature dae back to the time of the Babylonian Exile in the sixth pre-Christian century... When a thousand years later, the Babylonian Talmud assumed final codified form in the year 500 after the Christian era, the Roman Western Empire had ceased to be. The Babylonian Exiled is a momentous period, during which Exiled Jews "found themselves". They not only rediscovered the Torah, but also made it a rule of life to incorporate into the Talmud".

It turned into a monster. I see it with my own eyes. Thank you Jesus for delivering me from this pit of vipers!

No, that is not false. That is a sure truth as a rock, unless you are not of His sheep. And you are one of them.

I believe that the Tribulation and God's wrath fell on Jesus at the Cross.
He drank the full cup, wrung out, the cup intended for the unfaithful woman.
There surely is some literal application but I am not yet sure which one is correct.
sorry,I am confused, how do you have Jesus speaking of great tribuation (yet future) which will get so bad he has to return or no life on earth would survive.

If this is true, it can't be the cross. Because the tribulation is future, and not on Christ, but on mankind

I don't see anything rude about HER post at all!! You, however..... And once again, making assumptions is an unwise thing to do.

Their remaining in the land was CONDITIONAL upon there continuing to obey God.

They did not obey God so God removed them OFF the land. Nowhere does the bible teach God will someday return that land to them. Again, God promised them that land, they possessed that land and therefore that promised was FULFILLED in the past and to TO BE fulfilled in the future.
Lev 26 "but if they repent, I will remember my promise and return them to the land"
Ez 37, " I will return Judah and Israel to the land from where I took them, And I will make them one nation again, never again to be broken, And I will remove their sin, and they will no longer worship their idols, and commit their sin's but I will be their god.
Rom 11, "dont be wise in your own understanding, But Israel is blinded in part until the time of the gentiles is complete, All Israel will be SAVED, and I will remember my promise

This is only three, there are SO MANY more. But you have been shown these, and never even respond to them, You keep saying the same stuff over and over, like a broken record.

The Pharisees of today have always been active gnostics. The definition of Gnosticism is "a system of syncretizing, an attempt to blend opposite and contradictory tenents into one system to produce union and concord".
The Nicolataines of Rev 2:6,15 were notable gnostics. "So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolataines which thing I hate".
This gnostic religion creates fantastic funding on their part in their "brotherhood" between Christians and Jews. They are quite slick at it, and most Christians are easy pickings for them, those who don't know the Word of God.

He has me confused to.
Even the main stream of Jews who still to this day don't accept Jesus as the Messiah don't believe all prophecy of the OT prophets have been fulfilled yet.

And if you go and do a full out research on biblical prophecy and apply it to events in history you can clearly see how some from the OT and NT alike have not been fulfilled yet.

Lord Jesus fulfilled the law at His first coming and crucifixion, not all the prophecies.

And my dear sister in Jesus that's why you and me have come to be Married to our Messiah in fulfillment of all prophecies to Israel hallelujah!

(Luk 1:54)
He hath holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy;
(Luk 1:55)
As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.
No, Actually it was in fulfillment to all prophesies to all mankind, It was always that way, The mystery paul spoke of. The jews did not get it, it seems you still do not get it, because your trying to equate promises to a specific nation to you. It never was for you.

Romans 9 Paul is refuting Jewish argument about God having cast them off. The first part of Rom 9 Paul refutes the Jews main argument that God had to choose them simply because they were the fleshly descendants of Abraham. Paul refutes that by showing how Jacob (Israel) and Esau (Edom) were both decendents of Isaac whom the Jews considered to be Abraham and Sara's true son. Edom was just as much true fleshly descendants of Abraham as Israel but Edom was not chosen. Thereby proving God does NOT have to base His promises/choices solely on physical decendency totally refuting the Jews argument.
It has nothing to do with the personal salvation of Jacob or Esau, that is the wresting of Calvinism.

your right about romans 9,

but we are not talking about romans 9. we are talking about romans 11. Stick to the topic. Rom 11 says God is not done with Israel. Listen to God. not your own understanding.

To Bride, I wish we all would declared our doctrinal positions before making posts so everyone would know "Where" we are coming from. I think it would solve much confusion. I hate the practice of chat rooms throwing people out because of their position. But on the other hand, I think it would clear up a lot of unintentional deception. Sorry, I have to assume that you, Bride, are Jewish, Which is OK, with me, BUT, your positions against Jesus and the New T. ,are not accepted with me, BUT, I love you as one for who JESUS loved and died for. Love to all, Hoffco

There was grace in the OT too but that grace did not nullify law.

No it did not. The law still had a purpose It never saved anyone, it condemned everyone.

Just like it does today. WHich is why we need grace. Without Grace, you and I will spend eternity in hell, because the law will condemn us.

Yes, tribulation is persecution.
His prophets and saints and all the righteous have been persecuted since the beginning because Word of God (Jesus) was in them.
I think the timetable is what is causing confusion. It happened, it is happening and it shall happen.
God is eternal and what you cite is the eternal truth.

But not so, Greater than any tribulation, which ever happened or ever will be. Will happen in the last days, Will be stopped by the return of Christ himself.

ie, it will make 7 ADm WW1 and WW2 look like a walk in the park. and will be worldwide in scope.

The Roman army (AD 70) providentially destroyed all ancestral documents making it impossible for anyone today to trace their ancestry back to one of the 12 tribes. Many people today claim to be a Jew but cannot prove it. Can you prove that any Hitler murdered was a Jew? Can you trace their ancestry back to one of the 12 tribes?
the roman army did not make the promise, God did. You think God needs proof? Do you even think when you post things? You make God so incapable of doing anything, I pray people see the God your trying to preach, and how HUMAN he is.

This slick gnosticsm of the Talmudic Pharisees who are the heart of the present day rabbinic order, in keeping with their blending of contradictory mysticisms as gnostics, has evolved the Necromatic order of the Cabala.
Even kids now who follow after their favorite pop stars who get into the Cabala are affected by this disgusting evil country.

The existence of a spirit world full of evil spirits, there is one thing we are told about for sure, leave all that crap alone. Stay away from it. Familiar spirits, soothsayers, clairavoyants etc, it is all Cabala.
Thou shalt have no other Gods before me...Ex 20...

Universal Jewish Encyclopedia on Cabala states;

The Cabala is a library of literature all on magic and spiritism and pantheism. Aaron ben Samuel is credited with bringing the mysterious doctrine from Babylonia to Italy about the middle of the ninth century; thence it spread to almost all the Christian countries of Europe. Cabala means "tradition", and it is the tradion of the paganisms of Babylon, Egypt, and the pagan philosophers. The Zohar (Book of Splendor), of the Cabalas, is more sexually degenerate if at all possible, than the Babylonian TALMUD."
It gets a little raunchy in details, what is contained therein so I'll try to spare you the hell I went through raised amongst Pharisee/Cabalas/rabbis
