the seal was a seal of a king. He placed a seal on the letter of proclamation they were sending to another king or whoever, The seal (unbroken) proved the the words in the letter was a proclamation of the king.

This is what the seal is. not a seal as in preventing you from getting out, why can they not see this? The seal is the HS guaranteeing our salvation. when we are delivered to the father.
I gave a rather thorough treatment on this and the entire topic in question many pages back. Those that believe in the born, unborn, born, unborn logic, bypassed it for good reason I believe. None even dared comment on the details within.

If my kids grieve me, then they are not welcome in my house, my door is always open to my kids like Gods is open to me, but I do have a choice to leave, but I cannot leave something where I never was, your theology is full of holes that must be filled with man made doctrine and not that of Christ.
HAHAH what a joke....so when your kids were 5 or 7 and they did something wrong you chunked them out the door until they pleased you again.......? Proverbs 6...God hates liars.....!

The mere fact anyone is alive is but the grace of God

the mere fact anyone gets to HEAR and understand the gospel of God is by the grace of God.

That does not mean anyone has placed their FAITH in that gospel. they may try it out. then decide they really did not believe it in the first place (like the hebrews who went back to law) and mock Gods crucifiction of Christ (putting him to shame) and fall from the grace which COULD HAVE SAVED THEM.

it does not mean they were ever saved.

again if you read the contextual verses which followed that. You would see that some will be NEAR to being curst, yet still saved. Just like in corinthians, where there will be alot of naked people in front of God because all their reward were burnt in fire, yet they themselves will be saved, as though coming out of the fire.
here this guy is saying grace could not have saved someone...the scripture says we are saved by grace...the reason those were not saved is because they did not go through faith...those who went back fell from grace....grace is not the problem ...what do you mean..
That does not mean anyone has placed their FAITH in that gospel...
seriously guy you got some cross wires...no one tries out the gospel men are called ...some are led astray or frustrated by people like you...

I should have known you would say something like that.

Your no father at all.. to disown your kids because they ate a cookie when you told them now.. wow is you, that your pride is so broken.

ps. you could tell them to stay out of your house all you wanted. THEY ARE STILL YOUR KIDS. YOU CAN NOT UNBORN THEM. they may lose some of the privileges and blessings of living with you (although if your like that, I do not know what that would be) but they are still your children!

The only ones leading astray are the ones teaching you can loose and or work for salvation!

1. He would be in jail for child abuse
2. He would be seen as a deadbeat, irresponsible dad. and hopefully his wife left him
3. His kids would never trust him again, how could they? talk about fear. one mistake and your out the door. I can not live up to that standard. so I have no hope.

yeah, your right, the devil has more power than God and can break his seal. (rolls eyes)
Nope, your wrong again (imagine that), the devil cannot brake the seal :

1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV) No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

The devil cannot take you from God, but God will not make you stay.

wow. And you say you actually think things through?

[SUP]13 [/SUP]In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, [SUP]14 [/SUP]who[SUP][a][/SUP] is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

No conditions here. And I am not more powerful than God either. If I was. Satan could not touch me.

again, do you even think??

That is the concept that they cannot see nor understand.....once a child of God always a child of God....by birth that cannot change whatsoever at all......!

Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

My My, how vicious when called out on your theology that is full of holes...

explain why Peter warns us that the devil wishes to devour us if we were never saved to begin with?

1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

don't even go there. respond to what you were discussing first.

typical though, your doctrine was just destroyed (or you were pproven to be an unfit father who deserves jailtime) and you go to another subject.

and you wonder why I have some on ignore already..

I fail to see in Eph. 1:13-14 where "belief is sealed". can you show it to me?

Especially when we were 'enemies' in the first place.
so true.. To think I can be worse as a child, then I was when I was an enemy makes no sense whatsoever, especially after we have actually experienced Gods love..

Amazing at the way people think sometimes.

seals were not only for letters bro ...anything can get a seal....the king could see something somewhere seal it claim it....and when he gets home decides he does not like anymore take of the seal and throw it away...

our seal is until the day of redemption.....the right hand and left hand day....the seal guarantees you stand before God on the day of redemption..it does not guarantee your salvation....walking in Christ guarantees your salvation...
Hebrews 5:9
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

1 Peter 1:8-10King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

I have been saved for a few years and during that time I have never once wished to be unsaved. I have been grateful many times and continue to give God thanks many times each day that I am His. I cannot imagine how an unsaved man can face all that the world brings in tribulation, misery and woes.

When I reflect upon how good the Lord has been to me I can only bow my head and weep over my unworthiness and His great mercy and love. Joy unspeakable and peace that passes understanding.

For the cause of Christ

of course you fail to see it. Because you do not want to. Like the word grieved, It does not fit into your vocabulary, because it doe snot fit your belief system.

it says,

1. You heard the word of truth the gospel of your salvation.
2. You trusted, or believed in that word.
3. After which you were sealed until the day of redemption.

So where is works.
