This army is what makes Jerusalem desolate,It desecrates the Holy place
According to whom is the army the one that desecrates the Holy Place and makes Jerusalem desolate?
It is certainly not according to Christ. Because he pointed to the Pharisees as the defilers of the temple (the holy place where God dwells).

He also pointed towards Himself as being the place where God really dwells. Christ did want only the temple (in the Jewish mentality) could do: restore someone and forgive sins.

That's why they called Him a blasphemiator. Because He implied that He Himself is the temple of YHWH.

the jews had defiled the temple for hundreds of years if this is what you think it meant.

but That is not what the prophesy states, Jesus spoke of a future event, Thus it could not be the pharisees. They did not change or do anything, and they did not bring an unclean thing in the temple to desecrate it.

Who are those who say they are Jews and are not?
Here's what someone had stated from another site:

Almost everyone has Jewish blood. * Because everyone does not mate within ones ethnic group, over time everyone is related.
I find Dan Brown's theory (That there is a hidden direct line of decent from Jesus) humorous. If Jesus did have children (I believe that he did not) almost everyone can trace his blood line back to Jesus.
* It is more problematic for a native American and/or any ethnic group geographically separated from the old world.Possible Jewish Ancestors | Wrong Planet.net - Autism Community

Birth Name: Jessica Marie Alba
Birth Place: Pomona California, USA
Date of Birth: April 28, 1981
Ethnicity:
*Mexican (including Spanish, Indigenous Mexican / Mayan, and distant Sephardi Jewish) (father)
*Danish, Welsh, German, English, French-Canadian (mother)

Jessica Alba is an American actress.
Her father is of Mexican descent (including Spanish, Indigenous Mexican / Mayan, and distant Sephardi Jewish, roots). Her mother has Danish, Welsh, German, English, and French-Canadian ancestry.

Sephardi Jews, better known in English as Sephardic Jews, or simply Sephardim (Hebrew: סְפָרַדִּי, Modern SfaraddiTiberian Səp̄āraddî, lit. "The Jews of Spain"), are a Jewish ethnic division whose ethnogenesis and emergence as a distinct community of Jews coalesced in the Iberian Peninsula around the start of the 2nd millennium. They established communities throughout Spainand Portugal, where they traditionally resided, evolving what would become their distinctive characteristics and diasporic identity. Their millennial residence as an open and organised Jewish community in Iberia was brought to an end starting with the issuance of the Alhambra Decree by Spain's Catholic Monarchs in the late 15th century, which resulted in a combination of internal and external migrations, mass conversions, and executions. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sephardi_Jews

  1. The Samaritans were people who lived in what had been the Northern Kingdom of Israel. Samaria, the name of that kingdom's capital, was located between Galilee in the north and Judea in the south. TheSamaritans were a racially mixed society with Jewish and pagan ancestry.

says the one who condemns someone who does not agree with them. And then condemns someone else who calls you out on it? Yuo call them a cult. And all differing kinds of things. and that perfectly fine

Stop being a hypocrite. You want people to show you respect when you refuse to do it. I guess getting some of your own medicine does not feel good?

I am sorry if I say I believe God says something will happen and it will. If you think that is prideful rude and an emotional reaction. I can't help it.

My trust is in God. not myself. Not in man

Ok. If that's what you believe. I believe that the greatest apostasy was that of rejecting Jesus Christ and crucifying Him. I also believe that before His second coming there will be another apostasy. However, I read the apocalyptic discourse of Jesus Christ as referring to things which will happen soon. Judgment has been passed on Israel (for their great sin of apostasy) but had not yet been executed. For instance, you have the parable of the fig tree that must be cut off for not bearing fruits. And the master says "I'll give the fig tree one more year" and if after one year it doesn't bear fruits, than I will cut it. And what happened to Israel? They didn't repent (as a nation). So, a great disaster came upon them: the Romans soldiers destroyed the temple and Jerusalem.

In my opinion, that was the punishment for their disbelief. After the destruction of the temple, the threat prophesies against Israel stopped.

Jesus Christ himself prophesied the destruction of the temple by chasing out the real defilers: Jews who were doing commerce in the House of His Father.

Also, when Christ entered Jerusalem, He was fulfilling the prophesy that God will return to Zion and destroy all of Israel's enemies. Only that the traditional enemy of Israel (Babylon) had been replaced by sin. Sin and evil is the enemy that had to be destroyed and it has been destroyed on the cross! That's why the Jews got upset when Pilates wrote "Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews". They asked Pilates to remove "the King of the Jews" because they didn't accept that He is the Messiah.

In Christ incarnation, sacrifice and resurrection a new dawn has come; the kingdom of God is here, in the Church.

1. People have been rejecting God since adam first sinned (see cain)
2. Yes it is the greatest apostacy, Because people who do it will go to hell.
3. That is not what the purpose of prophesy is, Prophesy is used to prove to the world. God is the one true God. No one can tell the future and it comes true EXACTLY as he said it would, only God.

The test of a false prophet:

Deu 18:22
"When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him."

If the thing the prophet said (the abomination of desolation, committed by the final leader of the 4th beast) does not come to pass.

then the prophesy spoken did not come from God. ANd it should be rejected.

What I don't understand is why do (some) people think that God didn't fulfill all His promises towards Israel. That's how the debate started. Why do some people think that God has a covenant with national Israel and another covenant with the christians?

What promise towards Israel didn't God fulfill?

The Day of the Tabernacle? It is still being built without hands, and which God has to establish His kingdom with us to fulfill.

Matthew 8:20 Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

Haggai 1:2 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “These people say, ‘The time has not yet come to rebuild the Lord’s house.’”

3 Then the word of the Lord came through the prophet Haggai: 4 “Is it a time for you yourselves to be living in your paneled houses, while this house remains a ruin?”

5 Now this is what the Lord Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways. 6 You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.”

It has nothing to do with fulfill. Thats the part people do not get.

It has to do with does it still stand or not.

If your father gave something to you, and said it is yours forever. He fulfilled his promise (in part) if one day your father takes it away from you because you disobeyed, yet does not return it when you have repented, and shown remorse, and start obeying him. He is a liar, and has gone against his word and promise he made to you.

He has not taken anything away from them (well in my view. in your view. the land he gave their fathers is no longer theirs)

He is punishing them, and withholding it from them because of their sin, But he has not taken it away forever. If they repent, he promised he will let them have it back.

Just like if you repent, You father should give you YOU property he gave you.

Both of your questions are clearly spelled out in scripture ..... do you know this?

His promise is documented and still ongoing with national Israel

And there are scads of unfilled prophecies to come .... and focused upon a returned remnant of Israel in the land and surrounded by the tiny nation's virulent enemies in the Middle East

This is scriptural ..... and should be evident to you today ..... do you watch or read the news?

He hasn't established it yet, that is why He sending Teachers and so on, to help make the Bride to be ready for His coming.

Matthew 6:10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Revelation 21:9 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”

So, what does God have to for (national) Israel that He hasn't yet done?
Why did God sent His only begotten Son? For what?
