Sometimes I get irritated so easily. If you look at Blaine' s free rep thread you'll see in my post that I was irritated. Not at Blaine but at people who have to come in take a fun little thread and question it. Why? Can't a sweet guy just have fun? Why is it such a big deal to give someone a reputation point for no reason? I sound petty I know but it really gets under my skin when other's have to make a point of everything. IT'S NOT THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE IT'S A REP POINT ON CC. LIGHTEN UP!!!!

I'M out, bye bye.

Spiders are cool. Anything that eats mosquitoes is a friend of mine. As long as they stay outside... if they come inside they get flattened.

One year a writing spider (the really big black-and-green spider that makes a zig-zag in the middle of its web) set up a web right over our front porch light. I made sure to leave the light on every night (hey I pay the electric bill) to draw a lot of bugs for it. In the morning when I went to work that web would look like a flag that had been through a battle - all shot full of holes. Yay for mosquito eaters!
We call those zipper spiders where I'm from. What do other people call them?

So...I've found a butterfly in my house. What should I do with it?

I think that looks like a moth, based on it's antennae. However, since butterflies and moths usually don't live more then a day or two, if you want to be a collector, look up how to keep it, and keep the pretty treasure.

Thanks! I have already googled that. I don't have any fresh flowers here. I live in the city -> and it is winter outside. :)
Based on the Wiki article you shouldn't have to do much, if anything, it should be hibernating.

Because what happens on the internet, while it doesn't really hold any value in real life, people have to decide to be offended over it. The rep points system doesn't really hold any true value. In the grand scheme of things, people should be embarrassed over the fact they're causing such a fit about such things. Is that getting a rep point going to matter in the next 10 years? Is making that point in a thread going to make such an impact on your life in the next 5 years?

People don't make any sense. I say we live on an island with all the practical and mature people and just let the impractical and immature do whatever they please and they can make each other miserable. (as long as I can bring my pets. ...and have wi-fi.)

This is all covered in my old post about how many internet forum members does it take to change a light bulb. :)

Zero, it depends. Is it a light bulb in a nice new Mustang, a 787 Dreamliner, or a Tonka truck?

I'll check it out. (But just because, I'd say it'd take quite a few forum members to change a lightbulb, because there has to be the people that argue about HOW to change the lightbulb, where the lightbulb came from, is it eco-friendly, etc. and one that actually DOES change the lightbulb while they're arguing, but they don't notice it because they're too busy arguing, so they continue to argue. :p)

Duchess Aimee told me if you got enough rep points you'd get a free CC jacket.

Three performances of Nutcracker down, six to go...plus four more unrelated Christmas concerts. Oh! and the cantata at church.

I might not be around these here parts much until January.

You don't have a nobel prize yet? They are all the rage.

You'd have to skip the part about wi-fi, or the people you left behind could still make you miserable online. Like what happened just now. Unless you found a way to deny them internet access... but you'd be on your island, much too far away to do anything about whether or not they get online.

Yeah but if you think about it, if someones opinion online can make you miserable, how does unplugging the computer change any thing?

You'll still remember that you were miserable, and it might make you miserable to remember that you were miserable.

It's just easier to stay wherever you are and ignore the people that make you miserable - unless they are people in meat space, in which case you might need to deal with it. Like at work - sometimes you need to fix the problem or you're going to get steamrolled, but other times you just ignore it. It's a case by case basis.

Tonight's dinner is spaghetti, using spaghetti squash as noodles. It's now my favorite way to have spaghetti.
