Your answer tells me that Jesus of Nazareth failed to fulfill His mission. According to you, He only came to perform an abstract atonement that has nothing to do with the situation of Israel in the 1st century.
In this logic (your logic), the Jews are correct when they reject Jesus of Nazareth as being the true Messiah, sent from God.
No. My answer was in response to your question.

From your previous comments, it is clear that to you even the sacrifice of Jesus Christ is "Plato through and through" since you don't believe it brought deliverance to national Israel from her enemies.

That was your question. I answered you..

So tell me, If Jesus delivered Israel from her enemies. then why have they been slaughtering Israel for 2000 years now?

Hmm, I always thought the Communion stuff was based off the Last Supper in the Bible, particularly with verse 19 of Luke:

Luke 22:19-20

[SUP]19 [/SUP]And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

No Jesus did not lie, He meant it.

The catholics are the ones who said he lied. because they do not believe him when he said those things.

If the catholics ate his true flesh and blood, they would know they have eternal life. and not continue eating it,
They believe Him. And they do it in remembrance of Him. They want to continually grow in Him and partake with Him.

I posted what Jesus said, your going to argue with JESUS? Those were not my words.

I do not know what your problem is, But your attitude is not helping you. Your so focused on proving me wrong, your not even reading what is being said, and Making yourself look foolish.

To think those were my words.. HA!
Why do they make me look foolish? When Christ was on the cross, did He shed His Spirit for us or His literal blood?

If you would stop at your extreme anger at me And read what Jesus said in the passage, you would understand.

But your to focused on proving me wrong in everything I say, so your not reading what he said.

I don't have extreme anger at you.

Who was, according to Jesus of Nazareth, the enemy of Israel that had to be defeated and destroyed?

1. Babylon
2. The Roman Empire
3. The Gentiles
4. Sin and death

(which one of the above was the enemy?)

You keep ignoring everything jesus said in the passage, as they do.

Jesus blood paid the prince in full for our sins. the gospel of the cross (the bread of heaven, the flesh and blood, the food which endures forever) give us everything jesus promised.

The catholics do not believe this. they call jesus a liar. The try to earn their way in heaven.

You are angry at me, and it shows.. But I do not care. it does not bother me,, Everytime you speak. you show the whole room your true self. And you can;t take away from me what God gave me anyway. No one can.

All of them.

he paid the price for the last one.

He will deliver them from the rest in the future.

You said enemies (plural) Sin and death is just one enemy, but it was not just theirs it was the whole worlds enemy. Jesus defeated it on the cross for all of us.

It looks that you try to take away from the catholics the Eucharist by mocking it. The Eucharist, for your information, is in strong relation and connection to the cross. So, no, they do not deny the cross in anyway.

Why did Jesus of Nazareth said "love your enemies"?
Does this commandment not apply to the literal enemies of Israel, too?

The try to earn their way in heaven.
Since they believe they are partaking with Jesus Christ that means that they are already in Heaven. For, wherever Jesus Christ is, there must be heaven also, right?

How can they be in heaven if they deny whoever eats the bread from heaven will recieve EVERYTHING jesus said they would get?

Stop being blind and read the passage! Your arguing with me will not make you right.

It doesn't make me laugh when christians don't believe that Jesus is the Messiah. Perhaps it should make me laugh because the irony is very big. But it doesn't make me laugh at all.

They don't deny it. Actually they affirm it in the Eucharist. They truly believe they are with Christ, that they partake with Him.
So, they are in Heaven when they partake.

What is more important to a christian: being with Jesus Christ (in present tense) or wanting a heavenly future?

Interesting interpretation. However, when they heard these words, all his disciples understood it literally and many of them left him in shock. As Peter said: ““Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life."
As EG pointed out, Peter understood. Just a shame so many people here don't.

Do you think that it is possible that at the basis of "the distortion and the twisting" can be the very words of Jesus Christ?

"Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves. 54"He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.55"For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink."

If these were the words of Jesus Christ, why not believe exactly what Jesus said?
John 6:35 "And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst."

Answer me this, sunshine, if Christ meant literally, why do you catholics keep going back to gnaw on His flesh even more? He clearly states that you will never hunger, yet somehow you people aren't sated. You have to keep going back and eating Him over and over. I have His word and I am sated. It is all I need and I crave nothing more. Which one of us is closer to scriptural truth?

Perhaps you should read more of His word and go back to His word and "eat" His word everyday, not only once in a life-time.

That, of course, if you love Jesus Christ and want to be with Him.

I believe you will. You deny the work of Christ, and its power.

I feel sorry for you.
