The internet has caused an explosion of ridiculous on either side. The far right has always been ridiculous and absurd, but now there is tumblr spouting so much nonsense.
I've never met a trans in my life, except I heard of one guy I used to know that apparently changed.
It's just not that huge of an issue.
Now back to the more important manufactured stuff: like the war on Christmas.
This is why I can't wait for our generation to be the ones in a position to teach the youngers. You're a 45 year old man for goodness sake. To call a teen (practically a child) who genuinely feels themselves to be a different sex a 'freak' without making any effort to understand the depth of that person's anguish or the biological reality of transgenderism is stark evidence of the emotional and psychological ignorance you live in.
Here's to the next generations of human beings being people of progress, of empathy and of enlightenment, rather than condemnation and intellectual unconsciousness.

XX and XY are two genosomes that dictate biological sexual characteristics such as genetalia. They're not the only factor in sex determinism. Biologically, females are the primary formation of human life and to be male is to undergo a further mutational process in the womb, which includes a shortening of the repetition of androgen receptors. If these repetitions do not sufficiently shorten, the result is a human with male genitalia, without secondary male sexual characteristics. Such a person, though having male genitalia, is hormonally and chemically closer to a female. Hence transexualism.
In those with female genitalia, the causes of transexualism are thought to be to do with a mutation in a specific gene leading to an allele distribution more like male than female.
It's much more complicated than your black-and-white denialist logic can contain.

Ofcourse I feel sorry for the mentally disturbed, like: guys who think they're actually girls, girls who think they're guys, guys liking guys, girls liking girls etc. Hey, ultimately we're all God's children. Only when a socalled transgender decides to get a 'sexchange,' he becomes a freak (and not a genuine woman as I tried to point out in my post.)

Another example of how backward the United States is sometimes. In Germany since 1980 the normal. And every one that prohibits the mighty gets in trouble. We have a so-called "Transsexual Law", which regulates the conditions that must be met before a change, and what rights are accorded to transsexual people. namely the same rights as biological women or men. We are allowed to marry, adopt children, and even Mayor and Chancellor we may be.
In the Netherlands there is a Christian University in the first chair on the subject of transsexuality. It has a lot of research since 1994. It came out to make a long story short, that the gender of a person is composed of different components, of which biology is only a part. Hormones, genes, and also the prenatal socialization (the desire of parents) play a role.
Can I ask you something: How knew a five year old boy that he is a girl? And, although parents, church and society tries to force him into the role of a boy?
And how does a six year old girl know, that she is a boy, even though it is nearly beaten to death by his father, so it's a girl?

And what about hermaphrodites? People who have primary and / or secondary sex characteristics of both sexes? By the way; is transsexuality also called "psychological hermaphroditism". Can you see, why?
