Something that many people won't understand is that I was also thinking of how in a way... to me at least... God is a little like Toothless. He's loves you more than anyone, He'll do anything to protect you, He would even give His life for yours...

But He still does things like take away your loved ones. Which I know is part of the life cycle that's been created and tainted here by sin... But I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the concept of Someone who loves us so much and yet stands by and allows so much pain to inflicted at the same time... Including allowing those we love to be taken from us.

I agree. I just don't understand how DreamWorks expects us to accept that the one parent to whom the child is attached to, is killed by the closest friend of the same child. It is so surreal to see that Hiccup later forgives Toothless and they fight the villain together.

Now that you've pointed it out, I think that Toothless looks a little like God. I have not been able to understand and accept how God could stand by and watch as our loved ones are taken away from us. I'm praying for strength to accept the hard reality of life on this earth.

Black nail polish with pink kitty faces (or bright red) would look so much more sinister…. just saying.
Have you considered that I'm a brown grizzly? Black nail polish is just going to blend in with my fur. I need something to stand out and look menacing. Good grief, women themselves have no clue.

Don't know if I should sleep or not, considering I have a stupid job to go to early and might get in some trouble since I clocked out early than I should. Too much rage that I have no productive way to release to even sleep.

I hate this autocorrect on this phone.

Lol thank you TinTin. I almost got hit by a van. I was checking on an older lady who was in a wreck and it was dark and the van was speeding and didnt notice all the vehicle's with their lights and flashers on in the road. I stepped off the road in time to feel the van graze my skirt.

Please keep me in your prayers tomorrow. I know it sounds silly but tomorrow I have a routine dentist appointment. I do not like the dentist, and I fear what they might say to me this time around. I've been praying about this appointment for a while but it hasn't made it any easier.

I read the blog, Little Sister. :)

Congratulations on penning down your thoughts. I enjoyed reading your posts. You have a coherent flow of thought. To be honest, I think you have a maturity that is far beyond what a normal teenager could have. That is wonderful, sister! :)

I am sorry to hear that your birthday did not go as per expectations. I hope you have a good birthday cake soon. :)

I was just comparing the political map of USA and India. I noticed one thing - the states in USA have straight-line borders. Have you seen the borders of the Indian states?

Here's a comparison of both the countries' political maps. Do you notice that the Indian state borders are never straight? :D

P.S. Now I know why I can never draw straight lines! :p

I guess the thing of it is, God made us in His image, and He wants us to eventually become like Christ.

Christ suffered loss and knew pain, and God certainly knew what it was to watch a loved one (His beloved and only Son) die. For whatever reasons, God calls us to go through the same losses.

But for some of us, it is a permanent loss. I found out my ex-father-in-law died suddenly a few years ago. We had had a good relationship and he truly treated me as a daughter.

But there was nothing to indicate he was a Christian. You hope against all hope that a person is, of course, but in most likelihood, I will never see him again and that makes me incredibly sad.

Something I think about is that although God allowed Jesus to suffer and die, He also knew that He would get His Son back. I have always wondered... If God knew that sending Jesus to die for and save us would also mean losing His son forever and they could NEVER be reunited... Would He still have sent Him?

Roh_Chris the downside of our latitude/longitude based straight line borders is we have to have a road sign or GPS to know we just entered another state. You don't need that with your borders based on local geography. You know that when you cross that river you're in that country now. ;)

Although... considering how often a certain river here in the south used to change its path, maybe it IS better that we have lat/long based borders some places. In some areas a farmer didn't know whether his crop would be corn or catfish.

Would have been real bad going to bed in Mississippi, and then, the next morning, realize that you have been transformed into an Arkie;).

That's a good point, seoulsearch. Thank you for mentioning it.

The difference between our loss and God's 'loss' is that, we have a life to complete on earth. It could be 30 years or it could be 60 years - we never know how long we will have to carry the pain of losing that person. For as long as we live on this earth, we are humans and that means we will have to bear that pain. If we only consider the present, then it would look like a very long time.

Er....... State borders in our country are NOT based on rivers. They are just drawn on dry land. The border between two states may run through a forest (poor animals!), a mountain range or even across a river (like a river flowing between 2 or 3 states). Thanks to the wavy border, you wouldn't know if you are on this state or that state because there is no fencing to demarcate state borders. The only clues you get are from the local population, your GPS navigator, your cellphone reception tower (you will get an SMS welcoming you into the other state the moment you cross the border), and checkpoints/tolls/signboards on inter-state highways.

So, you see, it is more complicated here. :p

Wait til you see the 'indian borders' in the US.

Tiny territories by comparison.
To think native americans once 'owned' the place and roamed the land, so sad.
