I am not upset...

How do you know that deut 12 is not written to us? What verse can you give?

[SUP]29 [/SUP]“When the Lord your God cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land,

it was a warning about what Israel was NOT TO DO when they went to take the promised land.

So what God says to Israel is not for us?

God did not warn us about going into another land, to possess it, and not follow their Gods.

I am not following their Gods, are you?
and after they have been destroyed before you, be careful not to be ensnared by inquiring about their gods, saying, “How do these nations serve their gods? We will do the same.” 31 You must not worship the Lord your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the Lord hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods.

32 See that you do all I command you; do not add to it or take away from it.

The part I put in red is how we get the Christmas list, santa clause, and sitting on santa's lap... It all derives from Molech baby sacrificing...

What does this passage say? Do not worship God using their methods, am I correct?

I am not using their methods. are you?

you seem to be trying to make a point but not open to answers.. why is that?

Chemosh/Molech god of prosperity, his people had a tradition on December 25th that they would get a statue of him with a phrygian cap, red hot with a fire, and the people would make a list of their desires and then set a child on his lap so the desire would be fulfilled.

This is where we get santa clause, sitting on santa's lap, and the christmas list...

You take a child to santa clause with the list, sit him on the lap of santa, and when the child is on the lap santa will fullfil their desire whether they tell santa everything or not...

December 25th being the day they worship their sun god's. And on Easter where they would sacrifice children and die eggs in the baby's blood, because Ishtar/Easter was Nimrods wife who was the god of fertility was reincarnated and when she came back down from the moon she came in a egg, To proclaim divinity she turned a bird into a rabbit that lays eggs. So, they would impregnate virgins on the alter of Easter and slaughter the children when they were 3 months old. And dye the eggs in the baby's blood as a remembrance of the goddess of the moon.

Tammuz was Nimrod's reincarnation name, and died in a freak hunting accident from a boar. So on Easter they would not only sacrifice children and die the egg's for the moon goddess, but they would slaughter a pig and eat it for the sun god on Easter.
Furthermore they would deny themselves 40 days of pleasure each year around the time of Easter so the sun god could have pleasure in the after life. Nearly identical to lent.
Ishtar/Easter Nimrod's wife said that she saw a tree appear when her husband/son ascended into heaven. And every year he would return to give presents under it...

We are still cerebrating it identical to the way they did, we just changed the names...

what does that have to do with the birth of Christ?

I have seen God use his power and bring many people to himself on these holidays, and much more, if God was against it, he would not do these things.

are you going to sit there and deny the power of God to turn evil into Good? He has been doing it for 6000 years now.. Why do you deny him?

Do you think it will make you super spiritual or something?

No, we are not. Non believers may, Christians do not..

They know the difference between the fake, and the real.

Wait a second! You have not answered my question, does deut 12 tell us not to worship God in the same way pagans worship their gods?

And if so, where does it say that we are not supposed to keep the commandments given to Israel?

I am not in this to become religious, I am wishing to obey Matthew 19:17!!!

And there is no way Christ was born on December 25th.

who cares when Christ was born? it does not matter?

Has God used these holidays for his glory or not.

I have answered you, you are the one who has not answered.

But we use the same traditions, we have the same events and practices... Our Christmas is no different then theirs except the names...

HAS GOD USED THEM TO HIS GLORY OR NOT?

CAN GOD TURN EVEIL INTO GOOD? DID HE NOT SAY ALL THINGS CAN WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD TO THOSE WHO LOVE HIM?

I don't know if he has or hasn't the answer lies in Deut 12! I keep asking whether or not it is void and you attack me...

You are the one who said that Christ's birth maters in post#51

You have not answered my questions in posts #53, #46, #42....

1. I have answered.
2. You have not answered any of my questions including the first one I asked, and your going to now demand I do something I already have?

I am attacking your reasoning, not you. if you do not like that. that no one can answer you. Again, You are not open to any answers so why bother asking questions? when you are closed minded (I think we can all see that by ow, you ignore everything everyone has said)

I AM WONDERING WHETHER OR NOT DEUT 12 IS VOID!!!!! YOU SAY "God did not warn us about going into another land, to possess it, and not follow their Gods. I am not following their Gods, are you?"

When I point out that the passage says that it's worshiping God in the same manor that they worship their gods, that is the abomination... And then I pointed out how our Christmas traditions are the exact same as the Babylonians...

I then pointed out Matthew 19:17, And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

You have not responded to either... PLEASE DUDE I AM NOT TROLLING!

(Here is my question...)

If Easter and Christmas were pagan holidays, should we worship Christ on those days?

In the bible God over and over it says that they did there own traditions,

and did not follow Gods holy convocations that he commanded.

the bible says not to do mans traditions , but do keep whats holy to God holy.

no i do not think we should celebrate pagan holidays
